62-08 Village Visits

Jen, who admitted that he could build a water wheel but wasn't sure how he was communicating that rotation to the stone molar... decided to change his mind.

"Do you still have the stone molars?

"Yeah. Stone, so the stone mound was fine even if the water wheel cabin crumbled"

Helga answers.

"All right, then, okay. So, where's the stone mold?

"For now, it's in the corner of the square."

There were four stone molars used. They said two were turned around by water wheels and two by hand.

"Let's go"

"This way."

Guided by Helga, Jen headed to the square.

The square is south of the village, and when the pedestrians arrive it becomes a market, and when it harvests it becomes a gathering place, a multi-purpose square.

There were four stone molars stacked in one corner there.

"Is that it?... Oh, were these two broiled (abuzz) by fire"

The colors were completely different. It was literally burnt brown if you think it was broiled (blubbered) by fire.

Two hand-turned stone molars were burning.

The waterwheel stone mortar was just by the river, and it didn't seem to have been hit by fire.

"Reiko, put me down"

"Yes, Father."

Though hand-turned stone molars, they have a total weight of more than 30 kg with a diameter of 30 cm.

Two of them, Reiko gently carried them and brought them before Jen.

"Shh, that's amazing."

"Amazing......"

Reiko carrying two 30-kilometre stone molars, each with one hand.

The stone molar here is a structure in which the tall cylindrical members overlap up and down.

Since having the upper member splits up and down, Reiko has the lower member, but the way she holds it is the way she holds the lower corner of the stone molar with her fingertips, so it is not impossible to surprise Helga.

The villagers who wanted to pass were also circling their eyes.

You're not burning on the inside.

Since the folding surface seems to be fine, Jen thinly cut off only the surface of the stone mold with "molding (shaping)".

"Wow, you're beautiful"

"Wow..."

The difference in reaction between Kathea and Helga would be the difference in total time I was looking at Jen's work.

Anyway, although the stone molar was about two millimeters smaller, it regained its original appearance beautifully in about thirty seconds.

"Can we work a little with these two?

"I can. Thank you, Mr. Ginn."

a delightful Helga;

"You want a powdered hut"

Calm kachair.

If you're not indoors to grind the wheat, the wind will splash the powder.

"And a dust mask."

Jen thought just a little bit that he was recently connected to such a powdery or dusty environment.

"That's not enough material to build a cabin."

It's not Penglai Island, so there's no way they're going to cut those trees on their own.

Fortunately, we still have more than a month to harvest wheat. You should be ready in the meantime.

"Powdered Ground Shed," Jen wrote a third note to his heart.

The rain is not good, so it is decided to keep the four stone mortars in the livestock shed under construction.

The livestock itself hasn't arrived yet, so it's empty.

Jen filled in 'Livestock' and the fourth item in his note to his heart.

Then Jens heads to the eastern side of the village.

"Was this the river and the washroom?"

They say a storage pond is made of water drawn in from the Nocina River, where they do laundry of dirt.

"You used to use well water and dump it all over the place."

Kathea says.

"When you think about the environment, you have to treat the sewage properly."

"Right."

And the pond that came was made under the guidance of Avalon, which was quite well done.

Upstream there is first one pond, which is beginning to farm its fellow masses.

In the next step there was a washing area, downstream of which two sedimentation ponds were built.

"Will the sedimentation pond do something about it?

Jen asked Helga the question.

"Yeah. I haven't done anything yet, but purify before the summer? He said he'd install a magic guide."

"I hope so."

Jen was relieved that this point seemed fine.

"Did he say what to do with the mud accumulated in the sedimentation pond or something?

One more thing I'm going to ask you about, Jen.

"Uh, once I drained the water before winter, I heard that the mud should be mixed with fallen leaves and used in the field,"

"Oh, I see"

Jen was convinced that the mud being purified would have a lot of organic matter, so just mixing the rotten soil would be good soil...

"I just feel so acidic."

"Oh, at that time, I think he said he'd mix egg shells and crushed bones that came out of a meal"

"Is that okay?

The bone powder is probably calcium phosphate, so isn't it slightly alkaline? And Jen thought.

"You should also mix grass wood ash if possible"

Grass wood ash contains a lot of potassium and is undoubtedly strong alkaline.

In the case of rotted soil and bone powder, there was more nitrogen and phosphorus, and I felt that there was not enough potassium.

Incidentally, nitrogen, phosphoric acid and potassium (um) are referred to as the three elements of fertilizer.

"Can I use the ashes of Kamadu?

"I think so."

The only fuel used in this village is firewood (tagi), so its ash is' wooden ash (also bulky) 'so there is no problem with its use.

Here, Jen took note of "Agricultural Guidance" in his heart as the fifth item.

From there, Jens walk upstream along the Nocina River, or north of the village.

"Looks like Kawahara hasn't changed much."

Before, Jens circles around the north side of the village looking sideways at the river plain looking for the raw stone of the grinding wheel.

"Was the fish okay?

"Yeah, that's right. Most of the beasts have escaped, so I've been eating fish for a while."

And, Helga.

Fortunately, the fish were still so abundant that they could not be removed.

"Maybe fish farming is great for you"

Jen thought, "Cultivation Instruction" also took note of it in his heart.
