72-03, look for an underground city.

October 22nd in the Penglai Island calendar.

The third stage of the "Rachel Continent" northeastern investigation began.

Incidentally, the first stage refers to when the whole "Jen family" surveyed the ground from the sky, while the second stage refers to scans by observation satellites "Watcher" and "Peeping Telescope (Peeper)".

And now, the investigation begins with a method of sequentially examining shallow parts of the basement by 100 "Land Squads" with "Underground Explorers (Grand Searchers)".

'It's an underground city, so you can't possibly make it into a shallow part where the roots of the trees enter. So let's start with 20 meters underground'

Here's how you do it, old man.

First, the northeastern part of the continent of Rachel is divided into 100 square kilometres of mass.

Since the area in question is approximately 500,000 square kilometres, it will be 5,000 squares.

If you allocate that to a hundred rands, 50 squares per body.

Including travel time, if the time taken to investigate per mass is one hour, it will be calculated that it ends in just over 50 hours = 2 days.

'Including the unexpected, you'll be done in three days. That's your husband. "

The Underground Explorer (Grand Searcher) dives the exploration point five meters deep at a time, starting from five meters deep.

If I can't find anything, I'll look up to a thousand meters deep.

If something strange is found in the basement, we will explore it more carefully.

This concept of a 'strange part' is very vague, but in short, a trace of creating an underground city, like.

It is arguably suspicious that the rock formations have partially collapsed, that rocks cannot be found in their formations, or strangely geometric holes such as sections of true circles or linear ones.

And if we did an investigation near where "Underground City" is, we could find traces sooner... it should be.

It's been half a day since Rand and I put in the Underground Explorer.

There are still no reports like this, but we have learned quite a bit about what is going on underground in the 'La Seal Continent'.

'Hmm...... I see. Looks like the rock beds of the La Seal continent are pretty deep.'

It is 200 meters deep in the shallow and 500 meters deep underground.

"There's no reason why the four principalities can't dig a mine."

No matter how many rare metals, such as misrills and adamantites, are found in the rock beds of the Rachel continent, mining is so difficult underground.

'The soil, too, contains only a few… this may take longer than planned'

It takes time to inhibit or reflect the transmission of magic waves.

The old man thought it would be over within three days, though, as it would likely fit in after about a 20% increase in time.

'And for some reason, the resources of this continent are almost untouched… Perhaps that means' Origins' are doomed before we use them… '

That is a sad guess, but at the same time it may have been the stewardship of the world.

Because there is no such thing as eternity in this world.

But I suppose it means, 'That is why that which lives and lives resists its statutes'.

"Thoughts have gone wrong."

Old man indulges in and organizes information that can be conveyed from the Rand squad.

And.

'... this is...'

There was something about the information from Land567 that bothered me.

"... at a depth of 645 meters, there is a crushed stone belt... Hmm"

Based on that information, Old Man used the Peeping Telescope (Peeper).

Use it, slowly and carefully, to examine the surroundings.

The crushed stone belt was stretched almost vertically.

And by the way, it holds a space like a 'hangout', slightly shifting the axis and extending vertically up again.

"... traces of vents... right"

It would mean setting up a 'hangout' along the way to prevent stormwater from entering directly and not falling down the straight line, Old Master decided.

"Well, what do you want to do?"

The holes that appear to be vents are filled with crushed stone means that they have been out of use for a long time.

Perhaps beneath this is more 'underground ruins' than 'underground cities'.

"But it might be more convenient."

If it were a doomed city, you would have no problem visiting it.

Perhaps a preliminary exercise when visiting a 'living' underground city you might find ahead, or it would be great to gain preliminary knowledge.

"But first I have to inform your husband (My Road)"

It was just lunch time in Penglai around that time.

The weather was good and cheerful enough to be slightly hot, so Jen and Elsa were eating cold wheat at at the 'house'.

"Yeah, yummy"

The crunchy mess matches cheerfully.

I heard from you there. [M]

Master (My Road), I will report to you.

"Yeah, what's up?

Jen answered as he rinsed the chilled wheat.

"This is a survey on the continent of Rachel, and we have discovered an underground city in the area in charge of Land 567 that is probably abandoned."

"Oh! You did it!!

'Yes. I don't think that means that's it, but I'll report it to you first'

"Yeah, go on, please"

"Accepted"

I lost touch with you, old man.

Jen eats the remaining chilled wheat in a big hurry.

Look at Jen like that. Elsa,

"Brother Jin, I'll clean up after you, you can go to the command room."

"But..."

Reiko tells such Jen and Elsa.

"Father, Elsa, I will clean this place up. Please don't hesitate to come to the command room."

"Oh, yeah? Sorry, Reiko."

"Thank you, Laeko"

I thanked Reiko and the two went for the command room.

"Old man, so?

As he reached the special seat in the command room, he rushed in and Jen asked.

'Yes, my lord (My Road). Underground city… No, it is this place where the underground ruins were discovered'

A map of the northeastern part of the La Seal continent was shown in a large magic projection window (magic screen).

"This is the part where the river Dysun is divided into two, the Euratesv and the Grichis."

"Yeah."

"About 700 metres underground, there was a small town"

"That's pretty deep."

"Yes, my lord (My Road). The bedrock around here starts at about 400 meters deep, but it seems to have swept through 700 meters underground and created a city"

"I see. How big?"

"It's roughly inside the inner fence of Kaina Village."

"Right."

For Jen, it was a very easy analogy to understand.

"Ten Tokyo Domes" if you compare it to something else. roughly less than 0.5 square kilometers.

"The planar shape of the underground space is almost circular, cylindrical up to forty meters high, from which it has a loose hemispherical dome"

"Hmm, so, no survivors"

"Yes, unfortunately"

"Right..."

Jen figured out how to explore this' underground ruin '.
