Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress

Tamataya was less of a city and was more of a fortress. It had high and sturdy walls and a very strict security.

But the carriage that Sakura and the others had saved, it belonged to an influential family of this city. So with that influence, Weiss and her group were able to get an entry without any serious security checks.

Even though the city looked very rigid from the outside, it was actually vibrant and lively inside. There were a lot of sweet thing which were being sold in the street shops and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

The reason why this city was so well guarded was because of a neighbouring nation. This nation in question was extremely small, consisting of only a single city. But they had a powerful army with more than 10 knights so they were considered to be quite strong.

This nation was a dukedom which had a very bad relationship with the family ruling this city. So both sides had conflicts quite often. And that was why this city was build like a fortress.

Tamataya was also one of the biggest producers of suger in this region. That was why, there were so many places selling sweets here.

Weiss was planning to rest here for just one day. She had gotten quite a few knight’s secret art from Sakura and she needed to thoroughly research all of them.

Weiss was very sure that the grand knight was not the end for the path of the knight. So even with the path of the magus open for her, she was not planning to abandon the path of the knight anytime soon in the future. So doing more research was very important.

Not just that but Sakura had also read a few books where the authors had written down their experience of seeing a magus in person. Sakura had brought some of these books with her so Weiss was planning to give them a read too.

This was the reason why even though no one was tired, Weiss decided to rest here in this city for a bit. Sakura had already gotten Alexis, Evan and Frank inside her and had enjoyed this experience a lot. After learning this, Weiss sent her senses to the wall to observe how the battle was going on. There she saw a small force of less than a thousand trying to break the eastern gate of this city.

The attacking soldiers were quite well equipped with good training. They also had three knights leading them. On the other hand, the wall and the city gate were very sturdy and even with a battering ram, the attacking soldiers were unable to damage the gate at all.

Any arrows that the defending soldiers shot from the high walls, they were blocked by the large tower shields that the other side had. So the battle situation was in a stalemate.

This was actually Weiss’s first time seeing a war like this and she found this to be extremely interesting. So while all the male and females of her party were giving a massage to her naked body and were taking advantage of this opportunity to touch her all over, Weiss relaxed and started of enjoy this battle.

This stalemate lasted for about an hour or so. Then suddenly, a knight stepped out from the attacking side and declared his intention for a duel.

Duel was something that Weiss was familiar with even in the Brightshine kingdom. And here in this nation, duels were seen as something sacred.

From how the soldiers were speaking, it looked like that the battle that had happened for the last hour was just a show. Both of the sides knew that the final outcome of this would be a duel.

And after this declaration, a young man wearing light armour jumped down from the wall. Even though this person was young, he was a proper official knight and from his movement, it was clear that his battle experience was also adequate.

From the conversation of the soldiers from both sides, Weiss found out that they were extremely excited about this duel. It looked like this soldiers treated this whole thing as just a fun show. Weiss would have thought that all of this was fake and a joke if not for the fact that both of the sides had already suffered a few deaths.

So the duel that was happening just outside the city, it was mostly likely a non lethal duel with how the soldiers from both sides were acting.

Hearing all of this, Weiss nodded her head. As both of the participating knights looked quite capable, she was actually looking forward to witnessing this duel.

So what would be the result of this fight and would Weiss actually enjoy this battle ?
