Mangem's Paladin

LV.1 Crusader Oh Seung Hun [4]

On the way home, Gunuk recalls the Kobolts. Like a small army, you're a bunch of basement fairies.

The swordsmanship against those little monsters is no better than the unfamiliar. Either the Master's Knife or the Beginner's Knife, all you have to do is stab them to death.

Even a giant body is useless. In the eyes of the little Kobolts, all humans are powerless giants. That's why the Kobolts mobilize all kinds of deadly weapons against giants.

If you deal with the Kobolts again, you will be able to deal with them. In the meantime, I'll have more combat experience. A witch as strong as the infantry battalion will help you from behind.

Nevertheless, it will still be a dangerous battle.

'And send those little LV1s to fight those monsters. What you can't do.'

* * * * * * *

I didn't even think of leaving Kobolt's head when I came home and trained. So Gunwook had a dark face all the time training.

However, the witch was smiling all the time, helping Gunwook practice training, preventing or avoiding magic projectiles.

He slammed his knee and threw out a flying ice pick with a sword and asked Gunwook.

"What do you like so much?"

The witch cries out in succession as she shoots the ice pick.

"It's going to be level 60 soon! We're finally out of 59, Auger! I love it!"

The witch insisted that Gunwook's level up speed is the new record. I didn't know if it was true or not, but it was clear that Gunuk's work was all going well now.

His Kobolt. Anyway, Leveling is smooth, and it looks like a house I never dreamed of before.

Really, it was too much to live with.

I never intended to save such a big mansion. However, the witch who lived with me wanted this house. You can't live in a dark house without a knight's face. Households were not expensive enough to ignore the opinions of partners who put their lives at risk.

After all, the new house I bought was too spacious. At least the house didn't feel quiet thanks to the presence of Seung Hun's hat, and Gunwook was fortunate to have brought in three new housewives.

After the training, I encountered Oh Seung Hun, who was walking down the hallway.

"Have you finished your training?"

"Yes."

Oh Seung Hun laughed. Gunwook smiled face to face and thought.

'It's nice to see you smile. Yeah, yeah.'

Oh Seung Hun is now better at insomnia. This allowed me to fall asleep on time and get up on time to help my mother's work.

Oh Seung Hun was considering how hard he could help with his chores, and Gun Wook was also considering giving Oh Seung Hun a formal salary. I couldn't suggest it was really obligatory to help the family, but once I thought about it, it was worth it.

Oh Seung Hun opened his mouth.

"Brother, you're working really hard. You work or train without playing at all except sleep time."

"If you're not going to bleed against monsters in the basement, you need to sweat."

"Awesome."

"Big time, I'm trying to eat all the horns."

"Awesome, really."

I realized that the number of horses has increased recently. Gunwook smiled nicely and washed his entire body in sweat.

That evening, four Gunwook, Witch, and Oh Seung-hoon hats opened their mouths while they were eating.

"Seung Hun, are you okay these days? I don't have nightmares."

"Huh? Yeah."

"Aren't you afraid to sleep alone in the dark?"

"I'm not scared. It's okay."

The landlord smiled slightly at Gunwook. Gunwook suddenly thought that the reason for having such a conversation was to express his gratitude on this side.

It was not the real intention.

The landlord asked carefully.

"So when do you want to start over?"

I stumbled on that horse.

"What's going on?"

"Oh, Seung Hun is a player, isn't he? As you can see, the knight is a warrior who fights monsters. Then I had an accident, but I came back safely, so I had to start working as a warrior again."

Gunwook remained silent for a moment in the wind. Moreover, Gunwook Health Services is now trying to bring the dead son back to his limbs.

'I'm fine during meals, so I'll start again, and I want you to support me when I hear the conversation from a senior player.'

Gunuk had little way to help a low-level player, but he had no intention of helping.

Gunwook said with a stiff face.

"I ate well. And Mr. Hasun, I'll talk to you later."

In the room, Gunwook sat down facing the lower shipowner and went into persuasion. I took what I thought out of my mouth.

"My son didn't come back safely from his limbs, he came back with all kinds of trauma. But does it make sense to run back to the place where you're going to die? It's also for my young son."

The shipowner opened his mouth very carefully to Gunwook's discipline.

"Seung Hun is not very young. She's seventeen."

Oh Seung Hun was so small that he thought he would be fifteen. Gunwook panicked for a while, but his words were not blocked.

"The same is true of seventeen children. If you put a gun in that hand, you're a boy soldier."

At the end of the day, the understudy asked. I wanted to say something, but I didn't dare to talk to the knight employer.

"If you have something you want to say, you won't be angry."

In Gunwook's words, the shipowner asked.

"What's a boy soldier?"

The question made Gunwook bewildered again.

Gunwook looked down and recalled a fact he had forgotten three times. The lady in front of her eyes knows that she looks over forty, but in fact it's only in the early thirties.

'You've never even stepped on the threshold of elementary school for a girl who wasn't even born before this. Even if values are different, they will be too different.'

So Gunwook changed the content of the persuasion. Instead of talking about trauma, I left out the horror and frustration of being an easier player to understand.

When I heard it all, I said it was like crying.

"I know that player work is dangerous."

"Why do you know?"

"It's better if it's dangerous, isn't it? An opportunity to be like a knight someday

Gunwook intuited that his persuasion would not be eaten. I tried to summon Oh Seung Hun by suppressing anger.

'You better ask yourself what you think.'

It was then. Oh Seung Hun's voice rang outside the door.

"Brother, there's someone outside. I'm looking forward to seeing you!"

Gunwook left the room without saying a word. And when I opened the front door, Kim Hae-kim, the commander of the attack squad, Kim Byung-won, stood in a good angle.

"I'm so sorry I'm late! I have something to tell you."

"Are you going to give it to me?"

"It's not that different, level 59? How?"

Kim Byung-won was hardened there. Gunwook said with a smile.

"You don't have to call me Senior anymore. Or are you a rider and a junior at the same level?"

"No, it's not. I'm so sorry about last time. Anyway, I really can't believe my eyes. These leveling speeds have never been heard of."

"So what happened?"

"Oh, to give you an example. Can I have your inventory number, please? Lord has cleared out all the Orcs so that our attackers can be at ease. In the sense of appreciation, we have prepared 30 million gold to mark the castle."

"I'm good."

"Please accept. I have a favor to ask you."

"Please?"

"We didn't break through the 131st floor then, did we? I know the difficulty of the attack has been reduced thanks to Lord Orcs, but I was afraid to go again. So I would dare to invite Sir. If you help me with this attack, I will give you my best wishes."

Gunwook thought about the proposal. Sweep the Orcs again. It was not a bad thing to get Gold and earn EXP. If you become an LV.60, you will need to replace and reinforce your equipment. This is a yardstick that requires a lot of money.

"Good."

"Thank you so much!"

It was the moment the conversation lasted.

A scream was heard from the front door.

"Argh!"

After hurrying back, Oh Seung Hun trembled. The gaze was nailed to Kim Byung-won's face and could not escape.

Gunwook hurriedly took Kim Byung-won out of the house and interrogated him.

"What happened to her?"

"No. I don't know why I'm doing it."

"Any idea where you're going?"

"Something to do with LV.1."

After looking at Gunwook, Kim carefully told him about what happened on the 120th floor of the basement. The Orcs brought in dozens of low-level players, screaming to kill as soon as they guessed the intention, and confessing that they actually killed a few.

"It was a matter of survival. I had no choice but to survive."

Kim made excuses, and Gunwook frowned and frowned.

"Yes, I do."

"Good luck in two days."

Gunwook wanted to put it all away, but he replied.

"Yes, I'll see you then."

Upon returning home, the shipowner was knocking on Seung Hun's shoulder. Fortunately, Seung Hun seemed calm now, but his face was still dark.

Seeing the hats clinging to each other, Gunwook thought.

'A cruel but convincing opportunity now.'

Gunwook began explaining Kim Byung-won's story in front of both of them. Every player would have acted that way, and all the players did not forget to claim to be irregular psychopaths.

While talking, the face of the hat remained stiff all the time.

Gunwook ends his speech with a splashy face.

"Again, the players are all like that. Everything you do is like that. People are dying. Or do you want to kill, or do you want to keep doing that?"

And Seung Hun's answer twisted Gun Wook's face.

"Yes, I want to keep playing."

There was no hesitation in the answer. Gunwook asked ridiculously.

"Why?"

"Light"

"What?"

"I want to be a light."

What the hell is that sound? Oh Seung Hun said, while doubting whether there were any side effects that could be transcended by the prescribed SSRI.

"Just like you."

Oh Seung Hun recalled the storm of light he saw in the darkness. Then, while smiling comfortably, Gunwook likened the 'light' to 'noble things'.

"What about the firefighters, not the players? It's shiny enough."

A witch got caught next to me.

"To be a firefighter, you have to be an LV.30."

"What? Why?"

"Physical abilities and fire resistance make you a good firefighter, don't you think? You'll also get a level up blocked LV.59 from the fire department because you're so good at treating firefighters. If you want to be an LV.1 firefighter, you're gonna have a hard time writing a story."

I didn't think this guy's mangem would erode even at his old job. Gunwook paused and looked at Oh Seung-hoon again.

"Do you really want to continue playing? Because it's LV.1, you're going to shoot the Kobolts?"

"Yes."

"And then I got caught and dragged to the Orcs."

"I'm not going to get hurt anymore."

"There's no way this brother can help. Good equipment. LV.1 equipment is worse than bulletproof clothing. I can't even drive a bus. You know you can't get EXP and items if you have a player level 10 or higher around you, right?"

Oh Seung Hun immediately replied.

"It's okay if you don't help. You're already helping more than anyone. I don't care enough to hope for more help. I'll take care of it."

Oh Seung Hun's expression was not so loud.

Gunwook sighed.

"Again, the player is a very fucked-up thing. I know I went through it a few days ago, but it's gonna be so crowded. Those bastards like Kim Byung-won. That son of a bitch who tried to kill you."

Oh Seung Hun was flawed, but replied immediately.

"I know."

"Even if it's LV.1, there are a lot of madmen called Sunbae."

"LV.2s suck at LV.1s, too. Because you're a senior, I want you to buy bread from a magician's vending machine. I've endured it. I can endure it in the future."

Gunwook continued to persuade, but Lee Seung-hun did not listen at all.

Despite being frustrated, Gunwook felt somewhat unaware of this situation. When did this happen?

I remembered right away.

That's what you said when you pulled me out, right? Players are tough, and players are all crazy, so get to know each other.

Even the rate was the same as what the firefighter suggested to him instead of the player. And Gunwook remembered how he had answered, and he could notice how Seung Hun would answer.

After all, Gunwook failed to convince Oh Seung Hun. He also acknowledged that he had no right to stop the boy from making his choice.

But I didn't want to see a seventeen-year-old jumping into the dungeon with a rubbish gun. Gunwook instructed Oh Seung Hun.

"Make a body before you jump into the dunes. Can you stand the recklessness of a skinny guy with a big knife? I'll lend you the training room, so push it every day. If you can do more than a hundred and eighty, then you can shoot or cut."

Fortunately, the directive was interpreted as adequate advice from senior players, not interference. After being impressed by the shipowner's permission, Oh Seung Hun nodded with a splendid face. Then he did twenty-five push-ups and was exhausted.

Then he got up again and continued pushing, which he stopped for a while.

* * * * * * *

Lie down in bed exhausted, and Oh Seung Hun recalls the light again. The light that was shining in the dark. When I saw Kim Byung-won's face, I immediately calmed down when I remembered the light while my whole body was convulsing.

'That light.'

I fell asleep comfortably after reunion with my mother, not even when my mother was by my side and prescribed medicine at the hospital. It reassured Seung Hun that he could continue to be next to the light.

Oh Seung Hun recalled the back of the paladin who was defending himself. Even when fighting monsters, I couldn't take my eyes off their backs.

That back was the light. A warm light that doesn't bother you when you look at it.

'· · · · · · like the sun.'

I wanted to be that light myself.
