Third Legion Measures
Leaving the Demon King in the Baths, me and Satti set out to prepare for the military conference.
When summoned, within less than 10 minutes, the main faculties of the 8th Corps were in full swing during the military conference. Lilith, Deputy Legion Leader; Giron, Staff Officer; Sigan, Dragon Nation; Gunter, King of Dwarves; Anemone, Elf Warrior Leader; and Alistair, General of the White Rose Knights. Every time the familiar face shifts around the table, Satti serves each of them a drink.
Everybody had a sip of drinks and calmed their hips, and I opened my mouth.
"A demon king's castle built in Azchi was taken over by a third legion conspiracy"
The moment I say so, I get wrapped up during the military council.
It won't even be possible. It's the rebellion inside the Demon King's Army that suddenly jumped in, even though there hasn't been a fight with humans here lately. Even I thought I'd lose my back when I first heard about it.
"What do you mean, Master Ike ⁉ Azchi Castle has been taken over...!?
"Oh, yeah. Come on, husband! Such information, whichever -"
"Relax, Lilith, Giron. The information comes from the demon king himself. The Demon King is now heavily wounded and healed by the rebels"
"Nah...... oh, is that the demon king!?
I'm telling you to calm down, but Giron peels his eyes and is surprised and hesitates.
Lilith, on the other hand, smiles and invites at me as if she had come up with a prank. I'm sure it's not even Locke, but shall I listen to it for once?
"Dear Ike, Dear Ike. Now is the time to take over the Demon King and become the new Demon King."
I knew I wasn't even thinking about Locke.
Rejecting it without a nibble, Lilith continued not to show a let down bare gesture, even though she had been assumed to be turned down.
"Huh. So, normally in the direction of taking back the castle...... but only the 3rd Legion committed a conspiracy, right? Is it possible that other legions are supporting you from behind?
"From what I've heard from the Demon King, that doesn't seem particularly true. Originally, the 3rd Corps was an army that gathered a lot of human haters. I guess a lot of them rebelled against the way the Demon King did. With the rest of the regiment, I hear they had a bad fold."
"Wouldn't that be easy? You just have to go in."
Lilith says as she clenches her fist and rolls out a one-to-one punch in the front.
"That's what Ike always says. In heaven, the earth, the sum of men, this time it's all three beats, isn't it? The enemy has just taken over the castle, and if you give them time, they will only consolidate their protection for that matter. Now is a good time if you want to attack. Naturally, there is no harder sum than the bond of our 8th Corps."
"Lilith's sister is right, sir"
Giron follows Lilith's opinion.
Then Anemone, who was also drinking honeyed tea, raises her hand and stands up on the spot.
"Me too, I think that's a good idea. Siege warfare is an overwhelmingly advantageous battle between the defensive side. I thought it might be a good idea to attack the enemy's defenses within the present."
"Well, I don't know about that"
and.
It was Gunter, king of Dwarves, who spoke to tear the air in the field.
He drinks when he hangs out while wetting his beard, which he has accumulated in abundance. But there is no fine dust such as how intoxicated he is, and he stares at the face gathered during the military debate with a sharp eye.
"Hey, what is it, Lord Gunter? Are you saying you disagree? If so, why?"
"Easy, Anemone. I don't disagree with anything because you agreed with the Elves. But I don't agree that attacking a castle to fly a leg. I'm sure there are others who share the same opinion."
"Yes, sir"
It was Alistair, a minority person on this occasion, who raised his hand to head the White Rose Knights.
Alistair stands up for a moment to see what's going on around her. Though we have been on a common front many times, we are still unable to measure our distance from the Demons.
"I also can't agree that... suddenly I'm going to attack down the castle"
"Why not? There's no such thing as a national seal this time, is there? It's between demons, and it doesn't really matter to you."
"Lilith. The White Rose Knights, led by Lord Alistair, are among us in the 8th Corps. There's nothing irrelevant about it. Watch your mouth."
"... yes, if that's what Ike says. But why are you disagreeing? Even while we're discussing this, our enemies are hardening up their defenses?
"Uh, Mr. Lilith... things aren't that simple. It's not just the rebellion we're dealing with this time."
"... with Doyuko?
Let me explain something to you.
I agree with Lilith that the stalemate is troubling. I say it with such a loud voice that it resonates during the military council in order to regain the helm of the story.
Sigan nodded silently at the condition. After all, is there a difference in the degree of understanding of the situation individual? Apparently, only three people understand the current problem: Sigan, Gunter, and Alistair.
Well, Lilith is the one who shines in action, and there are parts of Anemone that still have narrow horizons. I guess I have no choice. I started explaining so that we could all have a common understanding.
"To be clear, with the power of the 8th Regiment, it is easy in itself to recapture the castle occupied by the 3rd Regiment. If you don't mind the means."
"Isn't it? Then, sir, we should attack here as soon as possible."
"Listen to me till the end of the story, Giron. I told you. If you don't choose the means, yes. If the 3rd Legion counterattack can also be included in the calculations, it will be suspiciously damaging if the Demon King's Castle is keeping the prototype. I want to avoid that."
"? Why? Dear Ike, why don't you ask the Giants to help you rebuild the castle again?"
"The problem isn't with the castle breaking itself. The humans will see that there has been enough civil unrest to break the castle."
"?
"Right now, the Demon King's Army and the Alliance of Kings continue to stare at each other. Very antagonistic. I don't even know when this equilibrium will break. Remember, we just let the King's Alliance retreat once. I repelled him, but I didn't destroy him, and he's constantly watching this gap."
"... ah! Well, if the castle collapses,"
"Ah. Civil unrest will defeat the King's Alliance, and it will give the soldiers a gap to be attacked while they are exhausted. Therefore, we must not let the Alliance of Kings know that there has been civil unrest."
This is the identity of the unpleasant hunch I felt in the bathroom.
We must get the castle back, not hurt the castle, not exhaust the soldiers, even as if nothing had happened.
Gunter and Alistair, who had reached that fact as soon as possible, already had their heads.
Lilith, Giron, and Anemone, who later understood my explanation, also put their hands on their heads to imitate.
I have run through many battlefields and fought many battles before, but I wonder if this is the first time I have been pushed through such impossible challenges. This would make me feel some easier if they told me to take down 10 big sea snakes.
Anyway, you can fight properly.
This may be the first time you've ever fought a battle you shouldn't.
"Hmmm............... what are you going to do? Dear Ike."
I guess I didn't have a plan to worry about, Lilith reaching out to me asking for help.
"You must not hurt the castle to keep the King's Alliance from scouting you for rebellion. In case you find out, there's no reason to drain a soldier.... Doesn't that mean you can't fight? You have to fight to get the castle back. I can't do this."
"Regrettably, I agree with you."
It was surprisingly Gunter who agreed with Lilith.
I guess it's pretty itchy that the proposal didn't come to mind, and when I pounded the liquor, I slapped my desk hard.
"The enemy is fierce enough to put a deep hand on the demon king opponent. To deal with such a thing, to win without fighting, is too unscrupulous for anything. Or is there something you can do, Lord Ike?
"... for once, just one"
Raise your index finger, I say.
But the measure was one bet. I can't guarantee it will work. However, I can respond beautifully to orders from the Demon King.
"Let's hear it."
"Yep. The cooperation of Anemone, and Sati, will be essential to this operation"
"Huh? Wah, me too? Your husband."
"Oh. I'm counting on you, Satie"
To my words, Satie said, "Wow, I get it!" He answered by stretching his spine.
