Maou no Hajimekata

Lesson 4: Let's intercept the next assassin-1

In the void, one small translucent box floats.

When the oul touches it gently with its fingers, the line stretches from it and is connected to a similar box. More than one line stretches out of that box, and the box is connected to it, and the line and the box are instantly expanded and stretched vertically and horizontally as if they were a spider's nest.

"Hmm... that's a lot bigger than I thought"

It was a map of this dungeon.

A dungeon so much that even Floro the Demon King doesn't know the earth, albeit the ex. It was in front of Oulu, who tried to scan by magic to see how big the hell it was, that he had already begun to show a magnitude no less than Oulu's dungeon, even though it was unfolding.

"Mm... the juncture. Little."

The indication stops like it hit a wall on the way. It was not a real wall, it was a magical wall. Magic scans have been stopped at a point about seven stories up from where Oulu is now.

"Chi... can't you"

Oul tried to break through with force, but felt a flutter and glare along the way and interrupted the exercise of his sorcery.

"Again... you don't have enough magic"

groaning abominably, he turns to Floro, who sleeps easily beside him.

This labyrinth looses its magic just by visiting it and is so scarce in magic that it causes disorder. In that, it was thanks to Floro that Oulu recovered so much that he could open his eyes while he passed out.

Somehow, she accumulates enormous magic in her body. It's like a walking dungeon core… I say too much to a boulder, but it is certain that it possesses such magical powers as a coarse sorcerer and beyond. It's so much that if you do poorly, you might even be comparable to Lamez. Perhaps it has nothing to do with the story that she is the Demon King.

That's why she was able to handle Oulu's magic better than Oulu. Unlike Oulu, whose magic is almost out, she can freely exercise herself whether it is a fairly massive sorcery with her magic power.

It absorbed such magic that Floro naturally released it, so Oulu recovered by the time he could move his body and exercise his magic. I can say in a double sense that she is a benefactor of life.

Oul's holding Floro is not just a story about trying out that readiness or wanting to indulge in a beautiful body. Because if you want to take away magic, it's the most efficient way to interact.

But Floro's magic power is dark purple, and much different in nature from Oulu's amber magic. It wasn't immediately usable where I took it, I needed to digest it slowly in my body.

Either way, you can't use such fancy sorcery in this dungeon where there is no dungeon core or dragon pulse. It will be necessary to interact with Floro on a regular basis, as magic is consumed even without the use of magic. Most of all, I would hope for her to see what happened yesterday.

"Wake up, Floro"

"Huh... Huh... Good morning, Oulu..."

Floro, who greets him with a rub of his eyes, is as miserable as a lie yesterday's mess.

"Wash your face first. I'll talk to you about the future."

Though he thought it was an inexplicable one, Oulu stuck out a bucket with water.

"There are two things to do first when it comes to aspiring to king"

"Two......?

Oulu nods and replies to Floro, who curiously hangs his neck.

"One is your position. There's no way anyone who should be king is in a position of slavery."

"Ah... right"

You remembered me when I was told, Floro.

"How can I be freed? Should I kill my husband?

"Surely if my husband dies, that slave will be freed automatically. Or my husband declares the liberation of slaves… but slaves cannot harm their masters"

"That's a quick story, then. I'll kill your husband."

Oulu said, Floro clouded his expression.

"... is there any way to do this without killing me"

"What. Does he have a brother-in-law?

To Oulu's inquiry, Floro sifts and shakes his neck to the side.

"No. I rather have a grudge of being scolded and abused"

"Then what do you hesitate to do? I'm not saying I don't like killing people anymore."

"It's not. I don't want to kill you because I have a grudge."

To Floro's answer, Oul smiled niggly.

"I'm sure I'll be delighted with that death. That's what I'm afraid of."

"That's good"

Floro looks up at Oulu's hand, which is placed on his head. I was wondering if they would say that for such a crappy reason.

"Resentment and hatred cloud your eyes. Such a thing is not necessary to accomplish its purpose. You can kill them if you need them, and keep them alive if you don't. From what I've seen, your husband is a trinket. You don't have to kill me on purpose."

It is barren to be imprisoned by hatred.

Forget about grudges and live.

Floro has been told that more than once.

But it seemed like Oulu meant something completely different.

"Oulu... don't you resent this kind of situation?

"I resent you?

When I asked him to try it, he just answered what he said was stupid.

"I don't know how I got flown to a place like this, but if someone took it in bad faith, I'd make sure they got what they deserved. That's natural."

Pale, Oulu says.

"But it's not done to clear up resentment."

Its voice color is not resentful, it's like it explains the fact that the flames are red.

"I won't allow anything to poke at me. You have to make all your enemies regret it. But that's not for my feelings or anything short. I want you to know how unworthy it is to be my enemy."

Floro remembered when he was hurting his own husband. Those eyes that don't have any color, they're indifferent. Oulu must have done it with the exact same eyes when he killed people.

I thought that was horrible then.

But now, for some reason, it seemed terribly reliable.

"By the way, what is the other thing you do?

"You forgot?

I opened my eyes unexpectedly, Oul said.

"The treatment of Sarnak's slaves."

"Ah."

Floro, who had completely forgotten, raised his voice.

"Master Oulu, Master Floro"

As the Ouls headed to the room where Sarnak was locked up, Nagya and a few other slaves were about to gather.

"What's up?

"No… but it seems we have not yet been freed from slavery"

"I looked up. That's a bummer. Which..."

The walls should have been filled up neatly, and Sarnak should have been consolidated to a level where he couldn't move a finger. Ordinarily, he should suffocate without a moment, but Oul asks inside in magic.

Inside the wall, Sarnak was laid back. Pickle doesn't even look like he's moving, and he doesn't look very alive. Sarnak suddenly opened his eyes slightly as soon as Oulu tried to move the wall.

"... what?

Did you feel a slight sign of witchcraft? Oul is surprised at Sarnak's reaction, but that doesn't mean he can do anything.

"... to... ru..."

"Ho."

But Oul grinned and nodded at his words, which were uttered in a plundering voice.

"It would be good"

Pattin, and Oulu snarled his fingers. No, the giant pillar of stone that was trapping Sarnak disappeared so that it could be unraveled in pieces, and Sarnak, drenched in sweat, rolled to the ground with stiffness.

"Gu... uhh...!

Sarnak manages to move his shriveled flesh, grabbing his sword and standing up.

"Ooh...... L......!

And as I proceeded to walk like a ghost to Oulu's eyes, I knelt with Gakuri.

"Uhm."

Oul took the sword protruding with his trembling arm and slapped Sarnak on the shoulder with it.

"I did accept the contract to serve me."

As soon as Oul said so, Sarnak loses consciousness and falls to the ground.

"Hmm... there's nothing else in life. Let him sleep."

When Oul so commands, nature and a few of the slaves carry Sarnak to take him.

"Oul, what's that about now?

"He asked me to save his life instead of serving me, I understood. That's all."

Sarnak's words were too magnificent to say he begged for his life, but Oul liked it in reverse. The pride of not being frustrated when your life is taken by a shield. Its gall power to be locked in a prison where you can't move one finger overnight, and still not give up fine dust to survive. It's a quality that you can't get from a skill or something. Oul thought it was a shame to kill him here.

"You mean... you made Sarnak a slave to Oulu?

"Have you found out about such a system? I just gave it to him."

To Floro's inquiry, Oulu to throw up.

"More than that, do you have any paper and pen?

"Yes... what can you use it for?

Oul grinned and answered Nagya, taking the paper and pen out of the bag.

"A contract."
