Lesson 9: Let's Have an Ice Queen -3

"Hello"

"Hello"

Mio greets the smiling woman with an unexpected and surprising look.

"Is that guy home today?

"Do you know the Lord?

I don't have a weapon, I don't feel hostility, killing or fine dust.

To the laughter and gentle atmosphere the person liked, Ellen decided she was not the enemy.

Because Oulu had informed me that he had gotten some collaborators in a local person.

"Yeah, that's the place. I brought you a letter, can you give it to me?

When the woman takes the letter out of her pocket, she offers it to Ellen.

"Accepted"

Ellen is a born samurai. No matter what time it is, there is no fine dust such as alarm.

It's quicker for her to pull out an arrow and shoot with a bow, even if she tries to get cut off on the spot.

I had that confidence.

"No!

Ceres thrusts Ellen aggressively.

Her whole body was frozen the moment Zana's stretched fingers touched Ceres' skin.

"Oh."

Zana opens her eyes wide.

Because the pseudo was supposed to be perfect, and she didn't even know why it was perceived.

Ellen was releasing arrows sooner than surprised than angry as she was thrust and rolled down the ground.

But the arrow stops in the air, and a crack enters the void.

"You!"

While releasing two more arrows, Ellen raised an anger.

But it is also not inhibited by invisible ice walls that will cause Zana to scratch.

When I tried to shoot the fourth one, Ellen's bow bounced and flew.

A string frozen by cold air couldn't stand her power and chopped a thousand times.

"Mr. Ellen!

Mio shouted to Ellen, who was frozen by being poked through that gap and fell and lay low.

According to her will, the two warcraft spew flames from the back of their throats.

"Oops, that's not good"

Zana flips herself back.

The flame of the Warcraft, amplified by the power of the Demon King of the Beast, had calories that also melted iron.

No matter how cold the ice is, it turns into steam in an instant.

"But even with so many necks, it's a bad idea to have only two bodies."

When Zana waves up, the soldiers show up behind it or with a bow and arrow.

In its very existence, both Mio and Ellen had already noticed.

I'm sure it's a good degree of practice to call a sergeant, but it's to that extent.

I was confident that if there were 10,000 people or Mio, I could eat it.

... if that arrow wasn't even aimed at frozen, fallen, lying Ellen and Ceres.

The only way Mio could take it was to make him shoot down the arrows that were released.

In the meantime, Zana's appearance approached...

And she lost consciousness.

"That's all I remember."

Finishing her story about when she met Zana, Mio sighs and mouths a hot cup of tea.

"Again, you pulled my leg...... sorry, Mio"

"It's not up to me..."

"No. It's not Ellen or Ceres's fault. I don't think anyone misjudged me."

Right, and to Mio, who turns his gaze, Oul nodded.

"Oh. If there's been a mistake, it's this one."

"Having said that, I can't see what I can't see, so I can't help it."

Tena, who was turned to, replied with a flashy look.

"It's not just about visiting the dungeon. Now I don't know what he's gonna do next. Perhaps because of its ability…"

To be precise, I was able to see Zana's future in itself. But the future is so vague that it quickly shifts to something else.

"I've never seen anything like this before... no, only once"

"When did this happen?

"That red-haired girl. When I saw the future of Eunice."

When I visited the pile of trials with the Ouls, as soon as Eunice tried to transfer, its future became difficult to read. Although there are differences in degrees, it seems close as a phenomenon.

"... sounds more like we just found a predictive hole in Tena than it was helpful. Well, I wasn't expecting much from your abilities."

"Grr... well, you don't have to say that much!

"I'm telling you it wasn't you, it was my mistake."

That's what I told you, Tena grown up like a sand-covered flame.

As was initially the concern, you will destroy yourself if you rely too much on how convenient prediction may be.

I'm just glad I figured that out before it got fatal.

And that's probably the same thing Zana's capable of.

There has to be a hole somewhere that might seem like an all-powerful force.

Oul turned to Zana to find it.

"Ah, I regret it! Hey, one more time, just one more time!

"Marie, keep your order. It's my turn next."

"I'll be next!

"I don't care who you are."

"... what are you guys doing..."

Oul gave a scowling voice to his four daughters, who were making a lively noise surrounding the table.

As good as Marie, Utsu and Spina are playing, because it was Zana sitting opposite them.

"They were teaching me chess. Pretty funny, this."

Xana answers with pleasure as she rearranges the pawns.

It wouldn't be a cozy place to even say enemy land, but it's as relaxing as if you're here to visit a friend's house.

"You can hit your best hand, so I thought you were really strong, and you're not."

Marie says as she takes a seat with Spina and watches the opposing station.

Surely there was nothing like keeping an eye out for that way of hitting. Not that the spinner is that strong either, but it's about the same or slightly stronger than that spinner.

There is no coincidence in chess. Whether you happen to win with the hand that comes to mind or not, it's convenient in a person's head and the panel itself can be reproduced over and over again.

In other words, if you get stuck, the victory will be decided when the first and second moves are made. That won't happen only because there are limits to people's prefetching. If you can always hit your best hand, you should be able to overwhelm it without even taking a single pawn for about a spinner.

Don't you have that much power, or aren't you using your abilities in the first place - or are you daring to add or subtract to knowing that this situation itself was prepared by Oulu?

Eventually, the engagement ended painfully in Zana's victory, and Spina pulled her lips together regrettably with no expression. It's a change in expression that only about Oulu and Marie know.

Next time, why don't you fight me?

Oulu says as he takes his seat with Spina to the opposite of Zana.

"If you can beat me, you can think about the alliance."

"What happens if you lose?

"Right. I'll take everything you got."

Well, Oulu was all alone about what he was doing.

It's too unequal a deal. It's not acceptable if you think about it normally.

Zana meditated often to think, and opened her eyes.

"Fine. I'll take care of that battle."

How confident are you, or so sure you want an alliance?

Or I don't know if that's one of the "best hands," but Zana did nod.

"Come on."

A flame bursts from Oulu's fingertips and burns to Zana's chest. It didn't even leave a burning mark on her clothes, but engraved a mark deep in her soul. It's a pledge curse. No matter what hand you strike, you cannot escape the curse you have sworn yourself.

"Now, pick a pawn"

Oul stuck his fist out at Zana as he hid white and black pawn in both hands, respectively.

"Well...... here"

Zana chooses Oulu's left hand. It was the black pawn that was gripping you.

Generally speaking, it is said that chess is more advantageous for whites who are at the forefront.

Is that what's best for you?

"Then it's my lead. Let's go."

At the beginning, the way Zana was arranged was entirely that of the amateur, against Oulu, who was to be arranged according to the stones.

Still not so bad as bad hands because of ability? Even from Oulu's eyes, though, it was clear that it was far from the best of hands.

But as it got to the middle of the day, the situation began to change gradually. Oul attacks the pawn in an unexpected position, twitching but Zana turns to dominance.

Seeing how it was, Oul was almost certain that the hypothesis he had predicted was to some extent correct.

There is the question of what is best with the best hand.

For example, now Oul has defeated Zana's Pawn, but Zana can strike down the night after three hands. Losing Pawn is a loss in the short run, but in the long run, you get it because you can defeat a stronger knight than that. In other words, if you really want to hit your best hand, you have to hit your best hand overall, not on the spot, but in the long run.

Normally, the criterion would be the end... which would mean reading through all the way to victory, but Oulu read that Xana's abilities did not have that much power. It is to the left that it prevails from the middle. The trend was also seen against Spina. The number of hands you can hit will decrease if the station proceeds, and there will be more hands you can read for that matter. I guess the best hand you can hit with Zana's abilities will also be clear.

"Ah."

Spina speaks up low. Because the Queen of Ouls was removed by Zana.

Queen of all directions is the strongest pawn in chess.

Being taken means being pushed to a considerable disadvantage.

"... it took you"

But Oul grinned.

From his opposite station with Spina, Oul saw the number of hands Zana could read in the middle as ten.

Then it's a simple story. All you have to do is get the best out of the 10th hand and prepare the way to ruin it in the 11th hand.

We can no longer turn back after we have moved on, and there is no other way to a temporary victory. Zana's defeat is decided when she realizes it. With thirty hands left, Oulu wins.

"... oh"

You finally realize that, Zana's expression slowly begins to cloud.

But it's too late. Until she stuffs, Oulu just hits her hand incorrectly.

"Mm?"

And, inadvertently, Zana struck an odd hand, and Oul stopped his hand for a moment. It doesn't mean anything, it's just a hand to lose. There should be nothing wrong with that.

While modifying the chess score in his head, Oul defeats the bishop offered like a sacrifice.

You abandoned yourself. Zana kept hitting one strange hand after the other, and Oulu modified the chess score every time -

And at some point I realized I was at a disadvantage.

The victory, which should have been thirty steps ahead, disappears far away, and if you realize it, the wall stands before it. Even in retrospect of the hand I hit, there must have been no mistake there. But Zana showed him how to make it impossible. It is undoubtedly the starting point for this, an odd hand earlier.

Impossible hand. I sensibly truncate because I'm a chess craftsman, unusual hands. But if you follow the path this far, that's exactly the best you can do. It was the only way Zana would survive.

Three more hands until Oulu loses. There was nowhere left to win.

- On the plate, on top.

The dungeon suddenly rocked about the exact moment Zana moved the queen to put on a checkmate. That was only for a moment, but Zana accidentally removes the pawn.

"Sorry, it's not here to put..."

Oul grabbed Zana's arm trying to move the queen.

"Your hand number is over."

That's a chess rule called "touch-and-move". The first pawn touched by his hand number must always be moved, and he cannot move the pawn that let go of his hand again.

Whether the place you moved it or not is where the pawn can move, Xana's Queen is where it is possible to move... it had fallen in front of one of the masses it was originally trying to move.

And it's a lethal hand.

"Checkmate."

Defeating Xana's Queen, Oul declared so.
