Maou no Hajimekata

Episode 14: Let's Burn Coward-1

"Ha... beautiful..."

To the sight, Lil opens her eyes round and unwittingly raises her voice.

But it was not limited to her, and so was Marie, Sophia, Eunice, Spina, and Oul.

The blue-white castle was as clear as if it were made of crystals. It is somewhere fantastic to have several roofs lined up sharp and pointy like the tip of a spear, and the beauty of its shape is breathtaking for even an oul.

"Nothing... it's not as big as it looks. We have enough ice to rot."

Only one of them, the ice queen, Xana muttered so boringly.

"Is that made of ice?

"Yeah. Whatever you do, it won't melt in our house, and if you go to the lake, you'll get as many as you want."

Zana answers Oulu's question like nothing.

It's hard to believe that such a huge building is made of ice. But apparently that is true. Even though it was summer on the calendar, the snow was also deep on the path the Ouls walked.

"You've never seen a lil so thick"

"The devil is resistant to the heat and cold, so I don't mind dressing up as usual."

"Please don't. It's colder this way watching."

Lil replied that way to teasing Eunice's words as Spina shook her body. The freezing cold is like piercing the core of your body, even though the sunlight is pouring brightly from the blue, sunny sky without snow or wind.

The opposite of the land of sand, where the scorching sun burns the earth to say it is next door. That was this ice country, Himro.

"Somewhat better indoors, so don't worry."

As Zana says, she puts her hand around the castle to the moat that surrounds her. Then the water that was burying the moat was frozen as soon as possible, and an ice bridge could be made.

"Princess!

As soon as he crossed the bridge and entered the castle, a group of armed soldiers rushed to greet Zana.

"Well done, Princess. Welcome back."

"You've always protected me from Nakajo."

Zana smiles and speaks to her subordinates. That's not the same polite tone as when you're unloading the Moon Goddess, or the abusive saying when you're relative to Oulu. I guess that's what she is, Oul felt.

"And... welcome back. Dear Eve."

The Soldiers paid tribute to Yeldave, who shrunk by trying to hide behind him rather than to Oulu.

"Eve?"

"It's the child's real name. Yeldave, because that's the name he gave you."

It wasn't himself who answered Oulu's questionable voice, but his sister Zana.

"Real, name......?

Yeldave himself, on the contrary, seemed to wonder.

"I can't help not remembering. You were taken away because it was ten years ago."

And during that decade, free will has been sealed by the collar and treated like a doll. I couldn't help but forget my name.

"It's not enough to spend 10,000 words on this thank-you for getting Master Eve back. Thank you very much."

And as they turned back to Oulu, they fell on their knees and drooled their heads. Eunice behaves naturally and is slightly itchy next to the owl.

"... it's Zana. Your men are funny people."

Kuck, and leaked a laugh in the back of his throat, Oul said to him.

"Isn't it? You don't grow up well with the Lord."

"What, I'm out of the poor, too, when it comes to the original. There's nothing humiliating about a small country that can fly if it blows."

Oul mocked it deliberately to provoke, but it made no difference to the intense willingness to kill released from the kneeling men. I don't even care if they insult the country. I guess the reason they're angry is because they made Xana look vile and hurt.

Take a respectful stance with courtesy, though no more, while leaving Eunice without concealing a clear intention to kill enough to be vigilant. It was a ridiculous and obvious attitude.

"Come on, let's go to the reception room. I'll entertain you. Warm up your body with warm tea. How many poisons can you put in there?

"Don't let me in. It doesn't work, but it damages the taste."

Oul laughed again that he was a very similar subordinate.

"... you're really made of ice"

"Yet it's strange that it's not cold at all."

Lil leaks her exhale as impressed as she looks at the shivering wall. Eunice tilted her neck as she took off her thick coat.

Touch the wall and you'll feel a tingle, but it doesn't release any more cold air. There's a brilliant fire in the room and even though I say it's hot in a fur coat, it doesn't look like it's going to melt.

It would still seem more convincing to be told that it is made of opaque glass than ice, but glass would crush it to pieces without withstanding the weight. It was certain that it was not the usual ice.

"Well, I'm glad it wasn't ice to the bed."

Sleeping on a sleeping table that gives you gibberish and smudge, Eunice.

"Doesn't seem very high quality though"

To the sound, Spina frowned nervously.

Sure, I know it's all about luxury, but the meals served and the dishes in the room were, on the contrary, many steps inferior to those in the Oulu dungeon.

I guess Zana's saying is true: a poor country with nothing but snow and ice.

"... worried about Sophia?

Lil spoke to Marie, sitting blurry on the edge of the bed without a word.

"Yeah...... kinda"

"Your master is with you, so I don't think you have anything to worry about."

I told Marie to snort, as if Spina were just telling the truth.

Oulu and Sophia decide between nations, so they join Zana in the room.

"Well, I know you'll be worried. We have to do what we have to do."

"... yeah"

Nodding cocklessly at Eunice's words, Marie began to prepare.

"... this is the place"

He stops the pen, which was running at an awesome rate, and Oulu plays parchment with his pins and fingers.

Arrangements made at the end of the meeting, which spanned a minute and a half (about three hours), were surprisingly written there.

"Sora, get up."

"Huh! Hey, I'm not sleeping!?

When Pong and Sophia slapped him on the back, his beloved daughter shook her body frighteningly and blinked her eyes. I'm pretty sure I was completely unconscious, but I'm not even going to say that anyway. Instead, Oul gave her the writing he had in his hand.

"Check it out for yourself, too. You don't have to know what that means... for now."

As they say, Sophia runs her gaze on paper. Her eyelids drooped heavily again as she followed the fine letters, but each time she put her strength into the hand Oul turned on Sophia's back to inhibit her sleep.

"Well, so are you."

In the meantime, Oul makes another copy of the exact same content and hands it to Zana, who sits face to face.

"... hey, I was copying without looking at anything right now, but are you memorizing all this?

"It's what I made, of course."

To Oulu, who would give it back lightly, Xanah made it easy. Anyway, if the text was just the same, because even the line breaking position and the fine handwriting were exactly the same as what Sophia was looking at as if it had been reflected in a mirror that didn't flip left or right.

"Well, good."

Zana glances at the parchment and hands it to Oulu with a quick autograph.

"Have you been able to confirm that yet? It's hard to do."

"That's not true."

A document passed between Zana's hand and Oulu's fingertips froze with pissilli.

Frozen ice instantly conveys Oulu's arms as they are, covering them from shoulder to chest.

"... what are you going to do"

Reflectively, the magical light emitted by Oul stopped the ice erosion there, but by then his body had already frozen. Moreover, the ice erosion continues to twitch.

"I don't mean anything, nothing"

Xana laughed. The soul connection between her and Oulu has already been disconnected this time in connection with national relations. It was no longer possible to hear its insides.

"I've told you many times, me. He said he'd kill you."

Sure, that was what Zana was saying as if it were a cliché. But if Oul was wary of it, he would say no.

She never did that while she was able to put it into action again and again... and most importantly, even if she was so evil in her mouth and mind, her heart didn't stick around killing Oulu.

If you're an oul, you don't threaten to kill them either if you're really going to kill them. Because we should move on to execution before we tell you.

But Oul looks at his left arm, which is completely immobile. I guess it's not even a joke to get this far. Sophia was safe, and she waited deliberately to be able to do the paperwork, in order to use the Sophia dungeon with that text. Without an oul, it doesn't matter what it is.

If so, there is only one option available for Oulu to take.

"Sophia!"

Oul threw a chunk of stone with his slightly moving right arm and shouted.

"Go!"
