Maou Reijou no Kyouiku Gakari

Episode 42: Meanwhile Back then

When Frey was giving Femme clear guidance.

The sound of a wooden door being lightly knocked in the corridor of the Lux School of Martial Arts and Magic echoes several times.

"Who?

On the other side of that door, I hear a slightly cuddly voice of a middle-aged man coming from inside the room.

"I'm Lily Herschel. The dean asked me if I could help you."

"Come on in."

When he hears a middle-aged man over the door again, Lily grabs the handle and slowly opens that door.

"Excuse me."

"Oh, you... hung up"

A middle-aged male teacher greets Lily, who is a little belly-up when she enters the room.

When the male teacher confirmed that the visitor was Lily, he pinched his desk and urged him to sit in the chair opposite him.

"Quickly, but naturally you know that the martial arts tournament hosted by Sir Vildanes will take place again this year?

"Yes, I know"

Lily doesn't even think about it, she answers immediately.

There is only one thing that the word refers to in this college.

Feld Martial Arts Congress.

It was a martial arts tournament in the name of Feld Vildanes, a fellow brave lux who once struck a great blow to the army of demons and supposedly brought hope for mankind to rebel.

Only promising future young people in the country can compete, but not only those in this college, but everyone who aspires to the path of martial arts knows its name.

"As you know, this is the tenth anniversary. It was supposed to be held on a larger scale than usual."

"Really?"

"Oh, I was suddenly informed, so this one's a tad rough, too"

"What does that have to do with the requirements for me?

Lily, who wants to get back to training as soon as she hears the requirements, asks toward male teaching to hasten the core of the story.

In response to such Lily's attitude, male teaching slightly frowns as she touches her jaw.

"The requirement for you, as one of the representatives of our college, is to say that you have been elected."

"Ho, is that true!?

In response to that word that came out of the mouth of male teaching, Lily rose out of her chair with momentum and raised her voice loudly.

"True. And sit calm first."

"And if you'll excuse me..."

Lily sat down again with a slight blush as she got excited about the sudden.

Nearly three years after enrollment, Lily has never been elected a delegate before, even as she constantly runs the front line in the college by putting it on her practical grades.

And for her, who thought she would never be chosen to be a civilian again this year, the report was a completely unexpected event.

"Other candidates were supposed to be elected... but where did you find out... Sir Vildanes must say you. It's an honor to be elected first."

"Sir Vildanes..., yes!

Lily puts a smile on Frey's face that she has barely been able to show since she disappeared.

Naturally what is in her chest is the thought that this brings her one step closer to her promise to Frey.

If you can win, you have enough authority in the tournament to get a glimpse from the nobility, even if she's a civilian.

On the contrary, perhaps it will stop in the eyes of His Excellency the Duke and be employed as a knight in that private army.

Lily further thinks that if she does, she can pick up Frey with her chest up.

But words continue to emanate from the mouth of male teaching that smash her thoughts like that.

"But there is one condition for election"

"Conditions…?

"That's right. If the final is a match between students at our college, and if you are there on the spot..."

Male teaching stares at Lily's face.

And without spinning any more words, it emits an atmosphere that just tells me to guess.

"... do you mean deliberately to lose?

Lily immediately perceived the intention.

I know so much about this college that I don't like the way it is in this country.

If I told you, Lily had a faint idea that the tournament itself was nothing more than a massive demonstration by nobles.

It is a tournament to let people know that no matter how much they train, they are no match for the nobles educated over time.

Almost all of the top grades have actually been accounted for by students at the Lux School of Martial Arts and Magic since the first event.

There is no reason for her to know that exceptions like Lily, who appears from time to time, have been rounded up by their extra wealth and power.

"I haven't said that much, but you're only in a position to let me compete."

There is no doubt that what the man in front of you is saying is the offer of eight hundred chiefs who do not think that is the teacher's.

While Lily wonders if accepting it would be against Frey's will, she also wonders if even a semi-finalist would bring her mind much closer to her promise to Frey, and her heart begins to get annoyed by a strong grid.

"There is still a deadline until the tournament. Think carefully until then."

That's what male teaching says and exhorts Lily to leave without saying anything.

"One last thing, may I ask you something?

"What is it?

"What if the finalists weren't from our college...?

"Huh, ha! If you weren't in the same hospital, right..."

Didn't you even think about the possibility of that happening? The male teacher reacts laughingly before thinking about it a little bit.

"I don't think that's possible... but do as you please then"

"Okay. Now if you'll excuse me..."

When Lily says so, she rises out of her chair and heads to the door where she came in with a gratuity.

"I made a decision about my future."

That's what male teaching told Lily toward her back, who holds a strong grip but stretches her spine straight and walks in a Rin position.
