Maou Reijou no Kyouiku Gakari

Episode 23: The Truth About The World

"First of all, do you know what the current state of conflict between demons and humans is?

"I don't know what the situation is... the power ratio of each other is almost even, no major clashes, and the extent to which we occasionally repeat skirmishes... right?

The fact that we've been doing that for a long time is something that even the children of the elementary school know in the human world.

It was a fierce battle to wash blood with blood. Not many people said it was more peaceful than it was in earlier times, but the levy to bolster armaments toward things that we don't know when it will happen becomes tighter every day, while the lives of civilians become tougher.

There is no doubt that a stalled state of tension is at least similar to peace.

But it may be convenient for the people up there in a way that the discontent that they recruit by that sense of obstruction is directed at the enemy rather than within their own country.

"Again, have you... that's what you recognized"

Rosé, who received my answer, said so in a tone that seemed a little unfortunate, but also natural.

I find myself feeling slightly surprised and strange when I look at that face, whose expression has changed clearly even rarely from the side.

"... did I say something strange?

After such a rosé attitude, my unintentional slight grump rides my voice.

I just said the obvious as far as I'm concerned, so that attitude is actually nothing but out-of-heart.

"Yes, before I tell you everything, let me first correct that misperception"

"Incorrect perception?

"Yeah, first of all... it would be a big mistake to have the two wars in balance"

"Ha... I wonder what the hell you're going to say... Oh, I see... that's what the Demons are educating you about. It feels like our army is building an overwhelming advantage over humanity by winning a series of wars. Well, that's not bad, either, 'cause it's important to start a war."

I say that back so as to tear up Rosé, who all of a sudden made an inexplicable joke.

Even so, I was in a good place to say that all kinds of information come together in the human world. I can't believe there's no such thing as a flightless story to plot. There's no tear in the boulder.

It has been clear since we were over there that the battle between humans and demons is a state of antagonism.

"No, it fits in terms of the fact that the truth is down...... the opposite is true"

"The other way around? What do you mean?

"Divergence in power relations is a fact. But it means that the Demons of today have little power left over against humans."

"I don't have the power to fight...? A demon tribe, a human being?

"Yes, it is"

In response to my query, Rosé answered briefly in a strange tone.

Look at Rosé like that. I...

"Pfft...... haha! It's another day to make a pretty sharp joke. Is something wrong? You don't believe that story, do you, Junior?

I accidentally overflowed with a big laugh.

We haven't even reached the point of joking. I just have to laugh at the boulders if they say that with this big serious face.

"Assuming that's true, isn't this how I teach those kids right now, and the Demons are so destroyed by humans?

Where do you say there are idiots who don't attack where their opponents are weak who have repeated wars of survival over and over in the past?

If there's such a guy, I don't know what the hell the reason is, but I can tell you he's crazy through the idiot.

"So what do you think Lady Frey has before man destroys the Demons...?

Not to deny my words, but as if I were a teacher, that's what Rosé says in a soft tone to guide me toward the answer.

"Destroyed ahead...? If the battle is over and peace is upon us, we will do all we can to ensure that those who are now driven out as fighting forces are assigned to the workforce and that supplies and money also turn to the civilian population. At least... for humans."

It's not the side to be destroyed, but the side to be destroyed should basically only benefit from the absence of resentment.

"… I think it's normal for you to think so"

"I guess. From me, it looks like you said something abruptly strange."

"But as I have said many times, this is true. Even though humans today have far greater power than the Demons, they dare to maintain the status quo."

"All right, all right. So... assuming that's true, what is it for?

Rose talks too seriously, so I won't believe her, but I'll just listen to her for now.

I know this is ridiculous, but it would be a lie to say that I don't care that this maid, who usually shows very little emotion, speaks with a much truly impending look.

"I can only paraphrase why… for them, the situation is more ideal than the peace that precedes the destruction of the enemies that Lady Frey said."

"... those guys?

When she asks back, Rose clearly has strong emotions on her face.

And at the same time I realized it was a fierce emotion of hatred, I was opened to that mouth.

"Master Frey, as you may well know, was once a line of brave men and those who are now called the five nobles of worship. They are now considered heroes of humanity who have greater power in the human world than the royal families of nations."

"Oh... naturally about those guys... I know very well..."

I researched my parents' and Nal's and everyone's enemies to the extent that I didn't like them.

But I've never seen any evidence of what Rose is saying.

What that means is that Rose is talking a hell of a lot of bullshit, or the power of the guys is taking my assumptions far...

Think for yourself, I get a nasty feeling in my chest that I can't speak.

"The Demons of today are only animals captured inside the walls of enemy, dogma, and fence that are convenient to perpetuate their ideals."

"Impossible... ridiculous..."

I manage to spin a word of denial against a story that doesn't even have that thump, but the first thing I remember when I heard that word was the words of my father's earliest, and that man my father was relative to.

"Knock..., lux... why not! Saying that real peace can be achieved in a few moments......!

'Your ideal... No... that's all I need to do to keep up with the worldly myth. True justice is in the world I make. "

Feels like something is going to connect in your head.

Until now, it's a mystery, why my father was betrayed, and why he was killed, filled with shards that weren't enough for that answer.

If Rose's words were true, everything would be connected.

"They have so much power..."

I naturally knew that they now had so much power in the human world that they surpassed the royalty.

That's why I decided to raise those hostile kids here, out of their power, to shake the ground eventually.

But if all Rosé's words were true, they would have far more power than they could have imagined, and they would have virtually placed them under their control, not only in the human world, but even in the demonic tribe, and they would be sitting so high that they didn't know what it was all about.

"It's all true."

Rosé said it briefly, but clearly.

"It's too absurd..."

No one in history has ever tried to make that happen, no matter how far back they go. What kind of distorted ideas would I have come to such an idea?

But if that madness were real, it would explain the betrayal and murder of my father, who was supposed to have been running for humanity.

If peace is achieved in any way, if we lose the enemy role that is convenient to us, the hero loses its existential significance, for that reason alone.

"Until then, I deny it... because if I admit it, I will lose the point of you being here...?

"Eh!"

I couldn't say anything back to Rosé's spinning words.

Yes, if everything Rosé says is true, it means that no matter how much I raise those kids, shaking their castle won't come true.

Rose just stares at me like she sees everything in my mind like that.

"If that's the truth... why did you just tell me that... What the hell is the purpose..."

Seeing its eyes as strong and glaring, pointing the spearhead of unreachable agitation and anger.

Rose slowly reaches out to me like that.

And I lay that hand on my fist, which I was unconsciously pressing on my desk.

"Since that time when I lost everything, it's just one thing. That's because you... know everything..."

Rosé spins the words in a gentle tone, like a Mother of Mercy, that reminds me of my mother.

"Still, when your sword didn't break..."

A warm palm wrapping a hard gripping fist can add a lot of strength.

"Let it reach their throats."

The words were spun clearly that strong hatred had been inflicted.

At the same time, the face of the girl with the smile that was always watching over me in my heart and the inorganic maid in front of me.

The two things that did not originally overlap coincided perfectly.
