Chapter 204: Switching Sides
Because Nathan Fawcett had saved his son, Chairman Grant was very loyal to the Fawcett Family.
Now that he knew the man before him wasn’t Ethan Linden, but Nathan, he naturally had nothing more to say!
Nathan Fawcett glanced at Anne Sutton and said to Chairman Grant, "Then, about the company..."
Chairman Grant said, "Don’t worry, I’ll figure something out. No matter what, we have to get your inheritance back. From what I’ve seen these past few years, that punk Charles Prescott has all but forgotten the old chairman."
After learning it was Nathan Fawcett, he immediately took Nathan’s side.
Naturally, he no longer had any reason to oppose Nathan Fawcett being with Anne Sutton.
Nathan Fawcett said, "Thank you, Uncle Grant. I have my own plans for the company. You just need to follow my lead."
Chairman Grant nodded. "Alright. Whenever you need me, just say the word. Uncle Grant will always be on your side. Nathan, if your father knew you were still alive, he would be very happy."
Hearing Chairman Grant’s words, Nathan Fawcett said, "When my father passed away, he probably knew I was still alive."
"Is that so?" Chairman Grant was a little surprised.
Nathan Fawcett said, "I looked into it a few days ago. Although he publicly announced that I had died, he never canceled my official identity records, nor did he register my death."
So, the identity of Nathan Fawcett still existed.

"I was waiting for you." Anne Sutton glanced at him. "What you just told Chairman Grant, about your father keeping your identity records... is that true?"
Nathan Fawcett nodded. "Mm."
Anne Sutton looked at Nathan Fawcett and said, "And you never told me."
She was only just realizing that, just as Chloe Chase had said, Nathan Fawcett had never truly trusted her or treated her as one of his own.
He had even kept a lot of information hidden from her.
’Although they were legally husband and wife, having registered their marriage before, in this man’s eyes, she was nothing but an outsider right now!’
Seeing Anne Sutton’s hurt expression, Nathan Fawcett said, "I just didn’t think it was necessary to mention."
Hearing his words, Anne Sutton gave a faint, bitter smile. "Mm. I understand. After all, your business has nothing to do with me."
Nathan Fawcett’s eyes darkened as he listened to her words.

The next day, Anne Sutton went to the hospital to accompany her mother.
Sharon Sutton was pregnant now, so it wasn’t convenient for her to be running back and forth every day.

Chairman Grant had just parted ways with Nathan Fawcett and was now in his office on the phone with someone.
Charles Prescott walked in and said, "Chairman Grant."
Chairman Grant looked at Charles Prescott. "What is it?"
Charles Prescott said, "You went to see Ethan Linden yesterday. How did the talk go?"
Hearing Charles Prescott’s words, Chairman Grant said, "That Mr. Sterling got what he deserved. When you do something like that, you should be punished."
"..." Charles Prescott fell silent for a moment. ’That’s not what the old man was saying yesterday!’
Charles Prescott said, "Yes, I know. It was indeed his fault. But Ethan Linden blew the whole thing out of proportion, and the impact on everyone hasn’t been good. Besides, the stock dropped quite a bit yesterday."
Hearing Charles Prescott’s words, Chairman Grant glanced at him and said, "Have a seat. I have something to say to you."

Ever since his falling out with Ethan Linden, the old man had always been on his side, because he was strongly against Ethan being with Anne Sutton.
But now, out of nowhere, he was starting to attack him.
Charles Prescott said, "Then who do you think is more suitable for this position than me?"
"Ethan Linden, of course!" Chairman Grant said. "He’s Chairman Fawcett’s son. Back when he was with the Linden Family, he managed them very well. What, you think he can’t handle a single Fawcett Group? Besides... he’s the one who should be the heir to the Fawcett Group."
"..." The more Charles Prescott listened, the angrier he became!
’He was clearly the successor personally appointed by Chairman Fawcett back then. As long as Nathan Fawcett had no children, he was supposed to inherit the Fawcett Family’s assets.’
’How did Ethan Linden suddenly become the heir now?’
"I don’t know what you said to him yesterday. I thought, out of concern for the company, you would have a proper talk with him. It seems now you wasted your trip."

Chairman Grant said, "What do you mean I wasted my trip? After talking with him, I genuinely believe he’s more suitable than you."
"He already said he doesn’t care what happens to the company! If this fight continues, he’ll just drag the company down with him. Incidents like what happened with President Sterling will happen again. He couldn’t care less if the company lives or dies, and you think that’s a good thing? How many storms like this can the company withstand?"
Chairman Grant said, "If you don’t want to see that happen, there is a way to stop it."
"What way?" Charles Prescott asked, confused.
Chairman Grant said, "You give him the position. Then, of course, he won’t fight you for it anymore, and all this trouble will be over."
"So you’re saying I’m the one who has to make the sacrifice? Why should I step aside for an irresponsible man like him?"
