"Ruyan, why don’t you thank your grandpa?"

Lu Ruyan climbed onto the kang, gave her grandpa a kiss, and said sweetly, "Thank you, Grandpa!"

This made everyone burst into laughter.

Lu Yuan and Su Liyan lay in the west room, while their daughter, Lu Ruyan, lay with her grandparents in the east room.

The old house only had two rooms. As children, Su Liyan and her brother shared a room, sleeping on opposite ends of the kang. They’d always kick each other in their sleep, and the two siblings loved to fight!

Su Liyan whispered, "Darling, is the mattress too thin? Can’t you sleep?"

’Lu Yuan’s mind was racing with too many thoughts, so he couldn’t fall asleep.’ He replied, "No, I’m just thinking about some things."

Su Liyan turned on her side, took Lu Yuan’s hand, and cooed, "Am I not beautiful enough for you? You’re lying next to me and still thinking about other things?"

The faint moonlight filtering through the paper window illuminated the room, which was now very quiet.

In the moonlight, Lu Yuan and Su Liyan could vaguely make out each other’s faces.

Su Liyan pressed close to Lu Yuan’s ear and breathed out, her warm breath tickling him.

Su Liyan pretended to be scared. "Darling, your... thing... it won’t break me, will it?"

Lu Yuan turned on his side and cupped her soft, plump breasts, one in each hand. "Honey, I don’t think this is a good idea. The two rooms are so close together. They’ll hear any little sound we make!"

"How strange. There are no neighbors around here. Who could be moaning like that?" Su Liyan was puzzled.

Lu Yuan pointed to the other room—the east room where his mother-in-law was.

Su Liyan wouldn’t believe it for a second. "Darling, what are you thinking! Mom and Dad are so old, how could they?"

In all the time Su Liyan had spent at home, she hadn’t heard that kind of sound for at least five or six years, which meant the old couple had long since stopped that sort of thing.

Although the sounds from the east room were being suppressed, if one listened carefully, they could still make out what was happening. That was an undeniable fact.

’Could it really be true?’ Su Liyan still found it hard to believe.

Lu Yuan gave her a firm squeeze, making Su Liyan whimper. He grinned and said, "Honey, if you have these kinds of needs, why wouldn’t your mother? She’s a woman in her prime, like a tigress!"

"Nonsense! Dad hasn’t been with Mom for a long time..." Su Liyan stopped mid-sentence.

The sounds from the east room suddenly grew louder before being quickly muffled again. This time it was much clearer, and Su Liyan no longer doubted her darling’s words.

"Ooh, honey, so you even know how often your parents get together!" Lu Yuan chuckled. As he spoke, he suddenly remembered the Elixir his father-in-law had taken during the day.

Su Liyan had never understood Alchemy or Elixirs, so she asked, "Will there be any side effects?"

Lu Yuan stammered, "Yes, there... there will be... How should I put this? The medicinal power needs to be vented!"

Hearing this, Su Liyan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She flirted, "Oh, so that’s it, darling! You’re trying to set up both me and my mother, are you? I ought to bite it right off!"

Since things had already come to this, as long as no one’s health was at risk, Su Liyan decided not to worry about it. Let her parents have their fun!

With that, Su Liyan ducked back down to help Lu Yuan get started again!

Their daughter, Lu Ruyan, slept soundly beside her grandparents, completely unaware of what they were doing.
