Marvel: The Sole Player

Chapter 305 Take this Hell Thrust!

Gamora and Nebula were both Thanos’s adopted daughters, and since they were little, that "Purple Potato" had been training them as weapons of murder.

But Thanos had a thing for green, and he was biased to the bone toward Gamora, doting on her like his own flesh and blood since she was a child. Even after Gamora defected, he couldn’t bear to be ruthless and send people to hunt her down, acting just like an old father heartbroken over a rebellious daughter.

In contrast, Nebula’s treatment was worlds apart.

Thanos never treated her like a person, seeing her only as a handy tool.

Whenever she lost a fight against Gamora, Thanos would replace a piece of her flesh with mechanical parts.

After being dismantled and replaced time and time again, a once exquisite beauty was stubbornly transformed into a tech warrior. There wasn’t much intact skin left on her body, and the flesh on her chest was so hard it could be used to crack walnuts.

Because of this, Nebula’s heart slowly became twisted. While hating Thanos, she also grew to hate her sister, Gamora.

But hate aside, deep down, she still had feelings for the sister she grew up with.

Gamora was the same, both loving and hating this younger sister.

It was just that neither sister was good with words, only with fists and kicks, so every time the two sisters met, they would bicker, and they were guaranteed to start fighting within three sentences.

Perhaps Thanos was just so annoyed by these two that he threw them under Ronan to work as interns, out of sight and out of mind.

Now that Gamora and Nebula had met again, they started fighting without saying a word.

The two each gripped long blades, trading blows, fighting intensely.

But Gamora was ultimately the more skilled one. With a diagonal flick of her blade, she deflected Nebula’s dual blades, followed by a kick to Nebula’s lower abdomen, knocking her hard to the ground. She then mounted her, pressing the sword’s edge against her throat.

"You lost again."

"No! I didn’t lose!"

Nebula roared, her mechanical right arm suddenly extending a segment. She grabbed Gamora’s hair from behind and yanked it back with such force that she pulled out several strands of hair.

Gamora screamed in pain, her head tilting back, and the blade in her hand was slapped away by Nebula, who seized the opportunity.

"Bitch! How dare you pull my hair!"

Gamora bristled on the spot, disregarding any fighting techniques, and pounced on Nebula, grappling with her barehanded.

It must be said that when women really get vicious, they fight much crazier than men.

Pulling hair, kicking groins, choking necks, tearing clothes... they used every trick in the book, rolling all over the ground, much to the delight of the unscrupulous men watching.

Of course, the ones who enjoyed it the most were Darian and Quill.

As for the others, it was simply inappropriate to interfere in the sisters’ family affairs.

This was clearly the sisters’ private feud; if anyone went up to break it up, the two might turn around and team up to beat up the peacemaker first.

Just as the two sisters were fighting intensely, with their clothes torn in several places, the sound of uniform footsteps suddenly came from all directions.

Countless Necro-soldiers poured out from the shadows, raising their muzzles toward Darian and his group.

Immediately after, the ranks of Necro-soldiers split to the sides, clearing a path.

Ronan, holding his Universal Weapon, walked out from the middle. He scanned them and said coldly: "You lowly bugs, I haven’t had the chance to find you yet, and you’ve actively delivered yourselves to your deaths."

Darian raised an eyebrow.

Ronan must have known about their arrival long ago, but he held back until now to show himself.

Could it be that he was also watching the two women fight from behind the scenes?

Darian stepped forward and shouted at Ronan: "Give up and surrender, Ronan! The Universe Police are everywhere outside now; you can’t escape!"

"You damn Earthling!"

As soon as Ronan saw Darian, his eyes turned red, and he gritted his teeth, making a clacking sound.

All the frustrating things he had encountered during this time were caused by this Earthling in front of him. It was even possible that the rumors about him betraying Thanos were spread by this bastard.

As the supreme The Accuser of the Kree Empire, having lived for so many years, when had he ever been screwed over like this?

At this moment, he wished he could smash Darian’s dog head with one hammer blow.

Ronan took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing his surging anger, and said coldly: "I know the Cosmic Orb is in your hands. Hand it over obediently now, and I might consider sparing you bugs."

"What are you talking about? The Cosmic Orb was clearly intercepted and snatched away by you halfway; how could it be in my hands?"

Darian spread his hands, refusing to admit it, and instead looked righteous: "Ronan, the Cosmic Orb is too dangerous in your hands. Hand over the Cosmic Orb now, and we might consider sparing your life!"

Watching Darian tell lies with his eyes open and then turn around to frame him, Ronan was trembling with rage, and a thought popped into his head.

"I have never seen such a shameless person!"

"Fire! Grind these bugs into dust for me!"

Ronan could no longer suppress his monstrous rage, and he raised his warhammer, roaring out the order.

As soon as he finished speaking, the Necro-soldiers surrounding them with energy guns instantly pulled their triggers, and countless azure energy beams poured toward them.

Quill quickly did a slide, hiding behind cover, while Drax spread his arms and laughed loudly, charging into the crowd of Necro-soldiers while tanking the damage. He brandished his two daggers with great force, slashing at everyone he saw.

Rocket jumped onto Groot, and under Groot’s protection, he raised his gun and fired wildly in all directions.

However, while the battle was raging on the field, Gamora and Nebula, who were rolling in a ball on the ground, hadn’t been hurt by a single hair.

The muzzles of those Necro-soldiers all intentionally or unintentionally avoided their positions.

After all, these two were Thanos’s adopted daughters. Even their top boss, Ronan, dared not touch a hair on them, so how could these underlings dare to act recklessly?

But Darian didn’t have this VIP damage immunity treatment.

Because he had been running his mouth earlier, he became the target of the entire field, and most of the firepower was directed at him.

A layer of dazzling white light exploded from Darian, wrapping his body in a thick energy shield. The energy beams collided with the shield and were instantly deflected, leaving not a single mark.

His mental power was no longer at its initial level, and the hardness of the Protection Spell had increased several times over; this level of output couldn’t break his defense at all.

Darian couldn’t be bothered to tangle with these underlings.

He gripped the pharaohs scepter, kicked off the ground hard, and the hard floor was directly stomped into a shallow pit. He shot forward like a cannonball, accompanied by a whistling sound, charging straight toward Ronan.

Ronan had fought Darian once before and knew this Earthling was not someone to be trifled with, so he didn’t dare to be careless.

He gripped his Universal Weapon with both hands, swung it in a full circle in the air, and smashed it down at the head of the charging Darian.

Clang—!!

The scepter and the warhammer collided violently, the piercing sound of metal clashing making people’s eardrums ache.

Where they met, a visible shockwave exploded and spread outward.

The two locked in a struggle, their weapons held in the middle, immovable, temporarily stuck in a stalemate.

Ronan locked his eyes on Darian and said sternly: "I let you run last time, but this time you won’t be so lucky!"

Darian chuckled: "Why would I run without finishing you off? I’m just afraid you’ll chicken out and run away later."

"Absurd! I am the supreme The Accuser of the Kree Empire, how could I flee from battle!"

Ronan roared, suddenly erupting with power to push forward, and the two simultaneously used the recoil to step back three paces.

As soon as they steadied their footing, they both rushed forward again at the same time, swinging their weapons to fight once more.

Ronan’s physical strength was extremely powerful; even Drax was far from his opponent. The warhammer was danced in his hands without a gap, each strike carrying terrifying force, creating a large pit whenever it smashed into the ground.

But Darian’s strength was not inferior in the slightest, easily blocking all of Ronan’s offensives.

What made Ronan uncomfortable was that the pharaohs scepter in his hand was still maintaining the Light Spell. The white light was as blinding as a flashbang, and when it swung, it flashed on and off, making Ronan’s eyes dizzy, as if he had turned on nightclub special effects.

The two traded blows and clashed head-on for over a dozen moves, with layers of air waves sweeping outward. No one nearby could get close, and they could only watch the battle from afar.

While fighting, Ronan suddenly changed his move.

Taking advantage of the gap while Darian swung his scepter, he raised his warhammer, aimed at Darian’s face, and blasted an Impact without warning.

Darian was quick-eyed and fast-handed, immediately raising the pharaohs scepter to block it in front of him.

Boom!

The Impact smashed violently against the pharaohs scepter, and the enormous force blasted Darian more than ten meters away, slamming him directly into the pile of Necro-soldiers.

The surrounding Necro-soldiers saw the opportunity and quickly grabbed their melee weapons, howling as they pounced forward, wanting to hack at Darian.

Suddenly, a few pitch-black tentacles abruptly emerged, instantly entangling the few Necro-soldiers who had pounced up and raising them high into the air.

Then, the black tentacles lashed out, and the few Necro-soldiers flew toward Ronan like cannonballs.

Ronan remained calm, swinging his warhammer in a sweep, smashing all the incoming Necro-soldiers away, showing no mercy just because they were his subordinates.

He looked at Darian in surprise, only to find several black tentacles wriggling behind him.

Wherever the black tentacles passed, the surrounding space dimmed slightly, as if the light had been sucked away by these tentacles, exuding an eerie aura.

And on Darian’s face, for some reason, a strange mask had appeared, with white light burning in the two eye sockets, glowing faintly like two balls of ghost fire, making anyone who looked at it feel creeped out.

"Putting on an act!"

After a brief moment of stunned silence, Ronan immediately regained his composure, snorted coldly, his eyes full of disdain.

He gripped his Universal Weapon tightly, and the blue energy on the Hammerhead rapidly gathered.

In an instant, several dangerous energy beams blasted out, heading straight for Darian.

Darian didn’t dodge or evade, charging straight at them. Several magic runes appeared on the surface of the pharaohs scepter in his hand, and he swung it in a sweep, shattering all the incoming energy beams.

He didn’t pause at all, rushing to Ronan at an extremely fast speed. He tapped the ground with his feet, leaped up, gripped the scepter with both hands over his head, and smashed it down hard at Ronan’s head!

"Eat my Siphoning Strike!"

Feeling the fierce wind rushing toward his head, Ronan’s expression changed slightly, and he hurriedly held his Universal Weapon horizontally over his head to block it tightly.

Boom!!

A deafening loud noise spread throughout the entire battlefield.

Ronan only felt a terrifying force coming from the warhammer, spreading along his arm to his whole body. His legs went weak, and he immediately knelt on one knee on the ground, his knee smashing heavily into the ground, creating a crater.

Although Ronan didn’t suffer much damage, it was extremely insulting.

"Bastard!!"

Ronan was furious, letting out a deafening roar. The Universal Weapon then erupted with a powerful shockwave, blasting Darian back.

Immediately after, he grabbed the warhammer and smashed it hard onto the ground.

Darian felt his body suddenly sink, an invisible gravity attaching itself to him, his limbs feeling like they had been filled with a thousand tons of metal, becoming difficult to move.

The Universal Weapon in Ronan’s hand was a single-soldier weapon created by the Kree Empire’s top military industry after pouring in countless resources.

Its functions were worthy of its name, possessing multiple abilities such as emitting shockwaves, releasing energy, creating energy shields, and controlling gravity; it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call it a divine artifact.

However, Ronan rarely used these flashy functions of the Universal Weapon in his daily life.

After all, he held the title of the supreme The Accuser of the Kree Empire and had his own dignity to maintain. He couldn’t let people think he was a waste who only knew how to play with a hammer and was useless without it.

Unlike that embarrassing god, Thor, who was a perfectly good God of Thunder but ended up playing with his hammer so much he became the "Hammer God."

But now, Ronan couldn’t care less about dignity; he just wanted to crush this damn Earthling, Darian, into pieces!

"Let’s see how you dodge this time!"

Sinister killing intent surged in Ronan’s eyes as he gripped the warhammer again. The blue energy on the hammer’s body surged and gathered crazily, the blinding blue light growing increasingly intense, even causing the surrounding air to sizzle.

The next moment, a thick blue energy beam blasted out!

"Dominance!"

Seeing this, Darian immediately activated the skill.

His body, which had been incredibly heavy from the gravity, suddenly felt light, and the huge gravity that had been clinging to him was instantly dispersed.

Darian swung the pharaohs scepter, several magic runes appeared, smashing toward the incoming energy beam.

Boom!!

The two different energies collided, causing a huge explosion.

The shockwave swept outward, and all kinds of debris splashed everywhere, kicking up thick smoke and dust.

Ronan narrowed his eyes, staring at the smoke and dust, his mouth slightly upturned, thinking Darian would at least lose a layer of skin from this.

But when the sky full of smoke and dust slowly dissipated, he looked closely, and there was no sign of Darian in place, leaving only a scorched crater blasted out by the energy.

"Where is he?"

Ronan frowned immediately.

He didn’t believe that Darian’s tough body would be blasted into nothingness.

Just as Ronan was feeling puzzled, the ground beneath his feet behind him suddenly disappeared.

Darian’s head poked out stealthily from the hole, and looking up, he saw Ronan’s wide-open iron gate, a wretched smile spreading under his mask.

"Good opportunity! Eat my Hell Stab!"

The pharaohs scepter in Darian’s hand turned into a straight long rod. Putting all his strength into it, several magic runes appeared, and without hesitation, he fiercely thrust it upward at the vital point above!

Pfft!
