Chapter 852: Shaking the Heavens with One Hand (Part 5)

"Ahhhhhh!"

Gilgamesh swung both fists, pounding forward like a torrential downpour.

His roars, laced with both fury and piercing pain, reverberated endlessly in the air, accompanied by wave after wave of blood rain scattering in every direction.

In an instant, the gale from his punches, carrying boundless force, rampaged with unmatched might. The dazzling golden shadows of his fists crisscrossed in all directions, their sheer power so fierce and domineering it seemed to envelop the entire sky. Rolling streams of air surged like crashing waves, and even space hundreds of meters away trembled from the shock.

Like the wrath of heaven, like a burning purgatory.

Like the surging tide, the pouring flood, the collapse of mountains, the cracking of earth, the shattering of rivers and the splitting of the sky.

Each fist imprint made the void erupt with explosive roars, stirring terrifying gusts of wind that howled and shrieked. In barely over ten seconds, the hundred-meter radius around him had its air forcibly expelled, forming a near-vacuum zone.

Countless swords, spears, and halberds rained down like an unending storm.

The azure weapons weren’t sturdy, each could be smashed with a single punch, but their numbers were overwhelming. There were simply too many for Gilgamesh to block. No matter how he roared and swung with all his might, there would always be a few blades that slipped past.

Every time one brushed by, it left a deep, bleeding gash along his body.

This wasn’t a battle.

At least, not the kind of battle he imagined.

A true fight, a warrior’s fight, should not be like this.

"Coward! Craven!"

Bathed in blood, Gilgamesh raised his head in fury and roared up at the man in the sky, "If you’re a warrior, then stop using such despicable tricks! Come down here and fight me one-on-one if you have the guts!"

"Is this all you’ve got?"

The man sounded faintly dissatisfied, even bored. "If this is the extent of your strength, you don’t deserve the name Gilgamesh."

In the broken fragments of his memory, the Gilgamesh he remembered was far more arrogant, a powerful figure with himself at the center, whose spirit and pride surpassed nearly everyone else in the world. That was the true Hero King.

Not this... brawny fool who only knew how to throw punches and shout about unfairness.

In battle, those who cry for fairness usually have something wrong with their heads.

"Come down here, coward!!!"

The veins on Gilgamesh’s forehead bulged. His eyes blazed with rage, but behind it was helplessness. His roars gradually turned into despair.

The number of azure weapons in the sky never seemed to decrease.

No matter how many hundreds or thousands he smashed in a second, more would immediately replace them. The sky was still crammed with so many that they blotted out the horizon like mountains filling the seas.

"Gilgamesh, hold on!"

A crisp yet commanding female voice rang out, and several figures rushed in from the distance.

"No, Ajak, don’t come here!" Gilgamesh shouted from within the storm of blades, his body covered in wounds so deep the bone showed.

"Run! Ajak! Don’t try to save us!" The heavily wounded Ikaris ignored his injuries, desperately shouting at her, "You are the Supreme of our Eternals, the only one who can contact Arishem! You cannot die here!"

"Hiss..what terrifying energy control!"

Ajak’s expression changed as she took in the horrifying spectacle before her. She dared not step into that deadly zone and instead gritted her teeth, turning to the man beside her. "Phastos, is there anything in your tech that can restrain that man?"

Phastos bit down hard, then nodded. "I can try, but I don’t know how long I can hold him, so make it quick!"

"The Supreme of the Eternals, is it?"

The man ignored everyone else and locked his gaze directly on the woman.

Ikaris’s earlier words had reminded him of something, if this woman could contact Arishem, then she was the most dangerous one. In other words, the one who had to be eliminated.

Since he was already an enemy of the Eternals, there was no reason to show mercy, especially since, from Ikaris’s hints, this so-called Celestial was an extremely powerful being in the universe.

"No... no, this is bad!"

Ikaris wanted to slap himself. He had realized the man’s killing intent, and that his target was their Supreme, Ajak. "Ajak! Forget about us, run! He’s going to strike!!!"

"No, I can’t abandon you!"

Ajak stubbornly raised her golden staff, conjuring a golden barrier as she forced her way into the storm of blades.

Phastos took the opportunity to get behind the man and, putting all his strength into it, hurled several metallic spheres. "Bastard, take this! I made these specifically to deal with violent freaks like you!"

As they flew, the spheres extended dense streams of electrical currents, forming a net.

The man, for some reason, did not try to evade, instead allowing himself to be trapped by that electric net. Phastos thought his invention had worked brilliantly, and immediately threw out several more metallic whip chains, binding the man’s limbs tightly.

"Try this, you bastard!"

Seeing the plan succeed, Phastos pressed the activation button in excitement.

Bzzz... BOOM!

The metallic spheres surrounding the man released a massive energy field.

A terrifying gravity more than a hundred times that of Earth suddenly descended upon the man, even distorting the space around him.

Under the multiplied gravity, the spirit particles in the atmosphere became completely disrupted.

The massive blades and halberds, like mountains and seas, instantly disintegrated into their most basic spirit particles, indirectly saving the trapped Gilgamesh.

"Well done, I love you for this, Phastos!"

Breaking free from the cage, Gilgamesh, like an enraged giant bear, poured all his energy into his gauntlets, stomped the ground beneath his feet into fragments, and with waves crashing toward the sky, charged at that hateful man,

"Go to hell, you bastard!!!"

RUMBLE!!!

Dust and shockwaves filled the sky, a thunderous roar drowning out all other sounds.

Before his body even reached, the sheer, violent force of his punch carved a channel through the air, its sonic blast shaking the surrounding mountains for hundreds of meters. In the booming roar, the heavens were shattered by the golden imprint of his fist, and the fearsome shockwave directly expelled the air.

This punch contained no flashy technique,

Only power condensed to the extreme, amplified by the golden gauntlets to the point it could even shatter the vacuum.

Gilgamesh was absolutely confident, if this punch landed, he could pulverize the man down to the molecular level.

"This punch, thousands of years of honing, can you withstand it?!"

His roar shook the sky, his entire essence pouring into the blow.

The man, though bound, showed not a hint of panic. His eyes remained calm as still water.

That tranquil posture and utterly confident expression made both Gilgamesh and Phastos feel a chill in their hearts, an icy dread crawling up their spines, as if a tangible aura of death, like a bitter winter wind, had seeped into their bones.

"This is bad, we’ve been tricked!!!"

With his battle-hardened experience, Gilgamesh sensed something was wrong.

But unfortunately, it was already too late.

BZZZZT!!!

A massive azure circular field spread out from the man’s position, expanding into the surrounding space.

A surge of spirit pressure, as overwhelming as a tidal wave, filled the hundred-meter radius, thundering like waves pounding against cliffs.

Before Gilgamesh and Phastos could react, countless giant azure crosses appeared before their eyes.

The crosses, in multiples, stood tall within the circular domain,

Magnificent and holy, like divine angels tasked with protection, radiating unmatched brilliance, yet at the same time, like sacred gravestones erected for sinners who had trespassed into the domain of the gods.

"Sanctuary Benediction."

The man spoke lightly, his voice soon drowned by the roaring.

It was impossible to count with the naked eye the number of azure light arrows, like rivers of the Milky Way cascading from the ninth heaven, falling with boundless, terrifying momentum, vowing to utterly annihilate the sinners who had entered the Sanctuary Benediction!

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM...

The endless light arrows filled the entire domain.

Even the omnipresent air, down to the most basic atoms, was crushed and broken apart by the light arrows. The vacuum-like shockwaves compressed the space, forming layer upon layer of airbursts howling outward, as if trying to flee from this terrifying field of extinction.

"Ahhh... NO!!!"

Gilgamesh and Phastos were completely swallowed by the beams of light.

The most brutal execution by a thousand cuts could hardly match this cruelty, the two Eternals had their flesh peeled away bit by bit under the rain of light, their bodies riddled with holes like a honeycomb, enduring unimaginable agony and torment.

In the end, they vanished completely amidst their wretched screams, leaving not even the faintest trace of their existence.

Another two Eternals fell.
