Master’s Smile

Episode XXII: Oak and the Brave Party

Ugh, wow. The sparkling eyes of Laradi were like the sea that stared in an instant......

And, for now, aside from the matter of her eyes, I look in the direction of my voice, surprised at what the hell is going on.

Oh, an oak.

It was a very popular kind of demon, an orc running wildly this way.

That too, plural.

Well, it's not so uncommon for orcs to act in flocks though a few.

A little strange is that the oak prefers the lush gloomy dark woods of the trees to dwellings.

Although in the woods, the flower gardens we are in are quite large and have good prospects.

That's why I was able to find the oak right away, but would the oak storm into a place like this?

I think about it a lot, but now that the orcs are rushing towards us, I can't help thinking about it.

"That oak...... how dare you......!!

Laradi, next to me, was staring at the oak with an angry, haunted look on her face.

Compared to her, who always smiles cutely with Nico, there's a terrible gap.

What makes Laradi so angry is easy to predict.

The orcs are rushing towards us, but every time they kick up their heavy legs, beautiful flowers are scattered unbroken.

Even I, a 'normal' person, have a sight to frown upon, but it would not be an act that would be absolutely forgivable from a Laradi deeply connected to a plant.

"I will never forgive you...... Huh!!

From behind Laradi emerges a sprawl of cheats and thick plants, fluttering and shaking as they wait to pierce their prey.

If it's true, I'll leave it all to Laradi. I'll be fine watching it back there. They're just orcs.

But you can't just let her fight after all, can you?

Even I've been pulling on my guild lately, but until before I built my guild, I was traveling and getting a chance to fight.

As long as it's an oak... it should be.

"Master... to protect Lara... eh"

Laradi looks at me standing next to her, shivering with emotion.

And then my legs are clammy.

Is that it? Could it be that you're afraid to fight an oak?

If it is, you can leave it all to me.

When I tell him that, I'll probably shake Laradi beside my head violently.

I have long, fluffy green hair and it hurts a little when it hits me. Bishibishi, it hurts.

"My first joint work with the Master! Good luck!"

Yeah, there's something about words that catches on, but it's not a mistake, is it?

"Ohhhhhhhh!!

The distance between the orcs and us is getting very close.

Seen nearby, it is a pretty dirty body.

Well, unlike humans, orcs don't seem to have a water bathing habit, so I guess I have no choice.

I'm not so sure about melee fights, and I'm going to fight my magic against them now.

Laradi is the same type, so he was after the orcs while the spreads were nagging.

So it was when Laradi and I got our attitude fixed thinking it was time to launch an attack.

"Stay!!

My voice, not Laradi's, echoed the flower garden.

Of course, orcs exclude because they can't speak human language.

... is that a third party?

The question was to be resolved immediately.

A boy appeared between us and the orc while the orc was amazed and solidified by the voice.

It's equipped with armor, but it doesn't mean it's armed with bees like a knight, light equipment like a litter hiding essentials.

He's got a fine sword in his hand and he's turning his back on us.

Good timing, like a hero.

"Oh, this guy sure..."

Laradi was squealing like that in a small voice.

Hmm? Do you know him?

"Ha, ha... Huh! Hold on, hold on!

A man rushes over to the boy who stands in front of us.

This man is heavily equipped. A knight, I guess?

Behind the man, two girls were also following.

... would it be a member of an guild that belongs somewhere? If that's the case, that's a little bad.

Yes, sir.

Laradi snorts when I look him in the eye.

Get the little flowers out of the ground so they can't sprinkle them, and grab the powder that was in their petals.

And when you cover it with pahopaho on the right cheek with the Alliance crest on it, oh wonder. Laradi's right cheek had exposed her egg skin with nothing painted on it.

It's helpful to know.

Thanks to Laradi's quick handling, it didn't look like those quartets had seen it.

We are in conflict with regular guilds and grey guilds.

I want to avoid futile combat.

"It's okay now that we're here."

The first boy to rush me, he says so and laughs at me nicely.

Ugh, yeah... thanks a lot.

"Knock."

et al., Laradi. Shouldn't we stop spitting with dead eyes?

This is your favorite flower garden, isn't it?

And there's too much of a gap between the look and the look.

"Whoa, you have a pretty girl. Oh, you can't lose!

"(I'm not glad you told me. Master, Pleas)"

The heavily armed man looked at Laradi and was in the mood.

I bet you are! It would be adorable!

All my daughter's guild members are adorable!

You can be happy if Laradi gets complimented, too, right?

"All right, I'm coming! Longman!"

"Oops, yut!!

"Gwwwww!!

A lightly equipped boy called Yut and a heavily equipped man called Longman go for the oak.

The oak also just strikes when a new prey arrives.

Thus the flower garden, which was almost empty, became a battlefield.
