(Myra’s POV)

"Where am I? What is this place now?" I mumbled to myself as my eyes darted around. I was standing in the middle of an endless flowery field filled with white, clean daisies. The sun kissed meadow like scent was brightening the atmosphere with its subtle fragrance. I breathed in the delicate scent, and every inch, every pore on my body tingled. The landscape was nothing but stunning, filled with endless daisies. The sky featured a gentle pale blue shade, and the cotton-like clouds contributed to a serene atmosphere.

After the awestruck moment ended, I glanced around. There was no one in sight. I frowned a little with confusion, but soon a thought arose in my mind, and my brows smoothed. ’Is it the moon goddess again? Did she bring me here?’

I called for her, "M~ ... Ms.~ .... Moon Goddess?"

The only reply that came back was the melodious chirping of the birds flocking around and the sweeping, rustling sound of the daisies as they brushed together because of the gentle breeze that was blowing.

I moved forward, taking slow steps and once again called her, this time a bit too loudly, "Ms. Moon Goddess? Are you here?"

Instead of the moon goddess’s answer, this time, I heard a low, playful chuckle rumbling coming from behind me. Instantly, I pivoted around to find a giant creature walking towards me.

My breath caught in my throat, my intestines knotted, and my eyes flew open at the sight of a majestic royal Lion in its full glory. Each step was quiet, heavy and slow. I shivered looking at him. He was just eight or ten meters away from me. Thrown off guard, I misstepped and stumbled back, landing on my butt.

’What the~ ....? Wh~ ... who is he and what is that on his back?’ My mouth agape; he wasn’t just an ordinary lion, but he had giant, luscious, pristine white feathered wings. The sheer sight rattled my mind, yet my hazels remained fixated on him. The sight of such a ferocious animal walking in a sea of white made the lion look celestial, as if he was the sun himself. It was enchanting, to be honest.

I was panicking inside and wanted to run, but my legs didn’t cooperate, nor did my body.

When he was around five meters away, I saw the colour of his eyes. They weren’t golden like I have seen in documentaries, and then, by instinct, I knew who he was.

His clean, aquarium-like greenish blue eyes were on me and nothing else. The softness, the tenderness they held confirmed his identity.

I called out his name, my voice breathy and raspy, as he stood right in front of me, "Elio~ ...."

He settled down quietly. Maybe it was my imagination, but I saw him grin, his sharp teeth on display. Then I felt a few daisies landing on my face out of nowhere. I tilted my head to find he was wagging his long tail, excitedly. ’How adorable.’ It brought a smile to my lips and eased all my anxiety and panic, though I suppressed it quickly.

I got up at once and approached him, my steps light. His warm cedar wood fragrance infiltrated my system as the next thing I knew, I was raising my hand to feel his furry face.

He clearly liked what I did as his tail wagged like crazy, the bright yellow centred flowers bending and waving together by the pendulum movement. The moment my hands brushed against his luscious, golden mane, he tilted his head, nuzzling into my palm, enjoying every bit of it. I called his name again, without thinking, "Elio~ ...." and caressed his forehead softly. He closed his eyes, satisfied.

Seeing him like this, I couldn’t help myself any longer. The urge to feel his warmth on me made me desperate. I circled my hands around his neck and embraced him. I felt him melting into the hug, clinging to me like a colossal golden retriever, and I melted too. His woody, dry scent surrounded me protectively, possessively.

I don’t know for how many seconds, minutes or even hours we were standing like this, but when I pulled away, he was no longer in his animal form.

Now, Elio was a human, though his wings didn’t disappear. He was looking down at me with an amorous gaze. His hands coiled around my waist as our bodies pressed tight together.

"Myr~ahh~ ..." he spoke, his voice rumbling and husky, as if he had just woken up from a deep slumber

I didn’t say anything, just kept looking at him. His chocolate brown long locks were waving gently in the subtle breeze, casting shadows on his handsome face. His dimply grin and his captivating eyes were making me forget the entire world.

His right hand snaked upwards and reached my cheek as he licked his lips to moisten them. "You look delicious," he said, and I knew what he wanted.

The next second, he leaned down, as our breath mingled. My chest rose and fell by the sudden close proximity, our lips just a few centimeters apart.

I closed my eyes, giving him my permission. He got the signal and his lips brushed mine softly, staying there for a while. Then it started moving.

The kiss was slow, delicate, tender, just like him. It felt like a whisper, making my heart flutter like butterflies. His other hand cupped my face as he partook of my lips properly. He was savouring every bit of what was mine.

Unlike other times, I didn’t push him or try to avoid him. I kissed him back, my lips, my body moving on its own. Our lips moved rhythmically.

My right hand held his veiny, muscular arm while the other one combed through his brown locks.

After another five seconds, our lip locking turned intense. His hands tightened around me; changing the angle, he started devouring me like a hungry beast. His tongue entered my mouth, pulling mine and entangling with it.

The abrupt increase in pace left made my mind foggy. I was having a difficult time keeping up with his passion, but we were so into it to pull back. He sucked my mouth, my and his saliva was dripping down the corner of my mouth.

He finally left my lips, now nibbing at my ear. I panted and gasped, a carefree moan escaping my mouth as my eyes rolled back. His sharp teeth grazed against my skin, and I yelped in reflex.

He immediately stopped his action and pulled away, looking at me with worried eyes. "Are you okay? Did I hurt you?"

I shook my head and answered, "No, I am not hurt." Licking my lips, I pressed them together, then asked, "Where are we? And why did I see you as a winged Lion? Weren’t you a werewolf? Or was I hallucinating?"

"Huhh~ ...." Elio made a dumbfounded expression. Then he laughed heartily, "What are you saying, Myra? This is our secret spot and your favourite place. And why would I be a wolf?"

"Weren’t you?" I questioned again, perplexed.

"I am a Lion, and you, my precious mate, are one too," he uttered. "See~ ...." He quickly transformed into his majestic form, and this time, my body also shifted into its animal form.
