Me, Adventurer! - Undoubled Skills Are Flat Magic (WEB Version)

Episode 124 - Seabirds Disappear Between Waves

Already three days after the beginning of the search, the search for the seabed around the nest is not progressing.

We found several sunken ships and found more than a dozen bodies and more artifacts. But I haven't been able to find anything about Mr. Aristotle at heart yet.

"I wonder if this just got tided up."

"If so, you're a little troublesome. From here, the current is divided into two hands. I don't know which way they flushed it."

Yes, it is. Through this archipelago, the currents divide into the northwest and northeast. Gizan fishermen told me that those in the northeast will tour the Lute Sea along the continental coast, while those in the northwest will head towards the centre of the Lute Sea. They told me they didn't know what was going on from there. Well, you're a local fisherman. It won't go all the way to the far ocean, so why not know?

But even if we knew, our situation wouldn't change. I don't know which way to go.

The only salvation, albeit only marginally, was that Mr. Aristotle remained viable. Flushed means the ship may not have sunk. Really, it's only a small possibility.

What we have here is a living space in the Inn. The time is the mouth of the evening after dinner. I'm expanding the map mapped with my camera to a plane on the table, and we're all surrounded and meeting.

Me and Cristella, Kikka and Anya, and Daisy are the five participating. And woo. Woo, as always, is just sleeping at my feet.

Luca and Samantha take care of the children in separate rooms. When it gets dark, it reminds me of the basement or it gets emotionally unstable, so I'm staying by your side until I go to bed. The heartbreak in those kids is deep.

Write sinking ships and currents in their current progression form on another plane overlaid on the map. This is mostly a 'paint' feature with a slightly high-performance 3DCG tool that lets you write textures directly to 3D models. But it may not be very high performance, so I often write it down to another paint tool later to fix it. I don't need that precise texture this time, so I use it as it is. I don't have a paint tool in the first place.

"The deadline for the request is just over ten days away. If you think about going to Sun Palace for a report, it might take you about four days to check one of them out."

"Let it go. Once the Beat Han Wizard is there, he can move pretty fast, and when he has just that much time, he can check out quite a few ranges."

"Right. The rest is to find out which one first..."

"Um, over here... I wonder?

I'm pointing northwest, at the center of the Lute Sea.

"Why are you doing that?

"The grounds are thin. If it was on the northeast side, if it drifted to land, it would be witnessed, and there would be some clue left. But I haven't heard a story like that, so I was just wondering if it was flushed out into the middle of the ocean. Of course, there's the possibility that it sank on the way in, or that the information just doesn't come in."

"Um, let it go. I don't know how... I don't know what to do right now."

"We'll have to try to move anyway."

"... everywhere if you're young"

"There's a big fish off the coast!

That's why we headed northwest first. Lute, the center of the ocean. We're never going pelagic fishing, Anya.

Since the camera view became available, it has been newly discovered… or my flat magic properties that I recognised. It is a spatial index, the "coordinate system," consisting of three axes of straight XYZ. The 3DCG tool can be a natural function. My planar magic naturally has this too, and I see this all the time when modeling in my head. Size and placement are determined by this number.

The fact that it is judged by a number naturally means that there is a point where it becomes zero, the origin. In my head, the center of the space I'm modeling is its origin, but the origin in real space is set in front of me, about fifty centimeters. This wasn't my decision, it was set on its own. I can't even move it.

Why this position? Possible reason is that the position where the monitor was in the previous life was around here. I mean, you must have been set from my experience. In fact, until now I have accepted this without any discomfort at all. I didn't even question it.

However, it was decided to recognise whether this characteristic was newly discovered in the expression of the camera view. Because 'the triaxis of XYZ was also set in real space'.

In my head, it is recognized that the camera position is indicated by the number "X: 000Y: □ □ □ Z: △ △ △". Units are meters. When I move, the origin position also moves, so the number of these 000s and □ □ □ □ also changes.

However, it seems that the setting of the tri-axis itself has not changed. Blah, it's fixed to the X-axis east and west, the Y-axis up and down, and the Z-axis north and south.

When I realized this, it was like, "Hmm, really?" but since I started going out into the ocean, I've been saying, "Seriously, God functions." Because if you get the camera out and move it a little from the origin, you'll know exactly where it's going.

This feature is greatly appreciated because you can't see the sun, stars, or terrain when you're diving. I don't need a compass. You don't have to turn the circle to get to your destination.

"I think it's about a hundred and fifty lees (four hundred and fifty kilometers) northwest of Gizan here. Probably in the middle of the Lute Sea."

"The ocean is all we have."

"You don't have any landmarks."

"Uh-oh, there's hardly any fish either."

"... no ship either"

Day four of exploration. I've moved a lot with my eyes on the bottom of the ocean. But we still haven't found the wreckage of a ship that looks like it.

Today's voicemail is Luca and Kikka. But this time it's not a scratch, it's a volunteer and it stays. For some reason, it seems that the kids are feeling extra free with much recovery in health, so let's teach them to read and write. They say all the kids are from rural mountain villages and can barely read or write and can only write about their own names.

It'll be useful in the future if you remember, and I have no objection. I mean, don't get around to it often. Think of something to reward.

The currents gradually reoriented as we took them towards the centre of the Lute Sea, now flowing almost to the true west. Probably slowly turning south from here. And it seems that Chito on the south side of the Lute Sea, through the coast off Oates, is heading north again.

The seabed near the centre of the Lute Sea has few ups and downs, and no islands are found at all. Is the water depth not that deep, on average, about three hundred meters? Pretty shallow.

The currents are calm when you get around here because you have nothing to block them from. I've hardly even seen a creature since I slipped into a herd of dolphin-like creatures about thirty minutes ago. There are occasional signs of weakness up there, but that's probably jellyfish. They're flushing it.

"Ha, shall I go back when I look for some more? I think it's more likely that it's not sinking even if it's flown this far, it's flowing somewhere without sinking."

"In that case, it was over three months ago, so you're halfway around the Lute Sea."

"If so, you must be launched to the west coast. But you didn't tell me they found you over there, so the ship was flowing north."

"I wonder if that's going to happen. Back today...... Huh!?"

"Mia!? I'm a little rocked right now. Is something wrong?

What? What happened now?

While I was talking to everyone, I was driving the submarine outcrop straight west on the current. Camera up in the air, mapping the perimeter. That camera suddenly moved north (...).

No, actually, I guess we moved south. The camera is physically non-interfering, so I can't believe it was moved to something. So it's more logical to think we moved.

But why? The currents have changed? Where there's nothing like this? Something pushed you invisible? No shock?

"... I don't know. I don't know, but something was wrong now. I was suddenly pushed south. There may be something around here. Everybody, be careful. In the meantime, we're going to sea."

"Oh, I get it! Gentlemen, pull yourself together!

"Oops!" "... yes" "ok!

... Everyone is splendidly fragmented.

We'll take the submarine moorings out to sea, and then we'll take a medium sailboat, and we'll all move there. Quickly Woo is happily running around the deck. It's soothing... No, no, it wasn't if it was soothing. We need to check the perimeter.

The sun is leaning slightly west. Time for about fifteen o'clock. If nothing, it's time to go back. Well, I'm flying home, so it's just a minute.

"Nothing."

"Are you out of your mind, Tamatama?

The ship is surrounded by the sea, the sea and the sea, whichever way you turn, as always. I don't even see an island shadow. Check with the camera from above, but nothing other than the sea level is visible.

Signs of organisms are also rare, with only a few fish and jellyfish in the sea and then one sign of a seabird in the south.

Are you out of your mind after all? Some terrain or climatic influence, the current is just snaking...... seabirds!? In the middle of such a sea, just one!?

"Isn't there something wrong with that seabird?

"What?... When they say that, it's unnatural that only one of them is flying through nothing like this."

"That's a wolf scratch. A birdie diving into the sea and catching fish and crabs. But I can't dive that deep, so it's weird to be offshore like this. It's a bird that makes a herd, so it's weird that it's just one."

"You know more, Anya."

"Where the seabirds are, they're fish ants! If you know the type and season of seabirds, you'll know what kind of fish they have!

I see, fish connection. Then I'm also convinced that Anya knows more. I'd be glad to direct that enthusiasm to my usual studies as well.

The sea turtle is black from the top of his head to his back and his stomach is white. It's like a penguin color scheme, but it's like a bird that can fly properly. There are round, red areas around the cheeks that are also somewhat cocky. The size may be a little bigger than the tin. The wings are spread a little over thirty centimeters in size.

The turtle came from the south and passed over our heads, flying straight north... disappeared. Gone!?

"It's gone!?"

"Gone!?"

"Disappeared!?"

"... erased?
