Me, Hydra

I, Hydra, chapter 3.

As he said that, looking at the confused young man in front of him, Hydra's lips couldn't help but put a smile on her lips, but only because the snake's body looked hideous. What had just been said was the thought of the great philosopher, Ibis Slannu, a thought that was put into the current theocratic society's influence on people was undoubtedly enormous, even calling it a nuclear bomb was not enough.

"O teenager... do you want to become my surrogate on earth? To make people really aware of the pathetic theocracy?"

"To become...your surrogate?"

Hearing the bewildered voice of the young man, Hydra nodded.

"That's right, become my intercessor and free people from their foolish theocracy..."

As she did, Hydra slowly transformed into a human form, but was it really a human form? The skin of the at least five meter tall body was greenish purple, densely packed with tiny scales all over it.

The broad shoulders were like the gods in Hinduism, with nine heads, six males and three females, which matched the gender of Hydra's original body.

The face that grew in the middle was Hydra's, with long, narrow features, slender eyes born with lavender eye shadow, and a somewhat withered face that fit his element, poison.

"Look up, look at me. Human teenager."

Hearing Hydra's appeal, the teenager slowly lifted his head, Hydra's five meter tall dead crouched down slightly, but even so, he was much taller than the handsome teenager.

"The gods call the wind and the people are in dire straits. Think of those city-states in Greece, the kings inside those city-states, they are to be commanded by the gods, they can't even own their own thoughts, the only thing they can do is to obey the Lord God... Have you counted how many countries have fallen because of the entertainment of those Lord Gods? So God brings calamities and at the same time he cannot remove them. Why do you still believe in them?"

"The gods are the cause of trouble, gods, guilty!"

"Guilty!"

"Guilty!"

"Guilty!"

"Guilty!"

"Guilty!"

"Guilty!"

"Guilty!"

"Guilty!"

Hearing Hydra's secret instructions, his eight cyborgs also repeated Hydra's words incessantly, like the whispers of the ancient gods, evil voices continued to reach the teenager's ears. The thoughts that contradicted this era caused the teenager immense pain, he wanted to refute it, but went to find that he had no strength to do so....

"But...but the Prophet said...the rule of the Kronos God-King is being overthrown...a new God-King is about to emerge..."

Hearing the teen's words, Hydra snorted a laugh.

"You seem to be forgetting something, don't you? I've never met the so-called prophet, but if I'm not mistaken, Uronus said the same thing when he was king of the gods, right? The brutal theocracy of Uronus is lost...but now what? Kronos' theocracy will be overthrown just as much as the kingdoms of men, and the regime of the gods is just as accompanied by brutal rule. Don't forget, Zeus and the others...are just as much children of Kronos..."

Hearing Hydra's appeal, the youth completely lost the support of his faith, indeed, the prophet did say the same words as now when Uronos' theocratic power was lost... Although it wasn't the same person, but as prophets they also said such words, and even now this prophet will come to the Aegean Sea's magic snake himself....

"But...even if we don't believe in God, what should we believe in? Once abandoned by the gods, not a drop of rain will fall from the sky, for the gods who govern the rain will not take care of us... The earth will be devoid of life, for the gods of the thick earth will just as little care for us pagans..."

"But you have me..."

"Well?"

Looking up at the surprised teenager, Hydra said slowly.

"Wind, rain, thunder and lightning, I can do all these things. And I am not as shameless as the gods, I can give you plenty of rain, plentiful land, and I will not interfere in your lives or even politics like the gods."

"...But then, who will be the king?"

A grim smile rose on Hydra's face as she heard the boy's words.

"Why does it have to be a king? A king is not a qualified ruler, think of it, each king or ruler can only serve for three years, and after three years the representatives of each town, each city will be allowed to vote for the one they think best suited to be a ruler, and even though the king loses his power, the state will grant them an abundant life. And the ruler cannot be dictatorial, you can have the wise men of each city form a council that can be forced to terminate the ordinance if more than half of the wise men deem it inappropriate. Simply put, even a king cannot be dictatorial..."

"This kind of world..."

The young man made an incredulous sound, but Hydra could clearly hear the young man's desire in his voice.

"I am the overlord of the beasts nearby as well as the sea, and the beasts will no longer trample your crops and destroy your farmland for no reason. Even the beasts will help you make waterwheels and help plow the land, and all you have to do is just be nice to those beasts, say hello when you see them or send them some food when they are hungry... No matter who they are, even the rulers will be punished for their crimes, there is no concept of class, and everyone is old and young. have something to raise.

In my dominions, you can establish schools so that those children who are not educated can enjoy the same higher education as the nobility, everyone will have something to strive for, and everyone can become the next ruler if they are willing to work hard. No matter what your predecessor was, even if you were a shoe shiner, even if you were a beggar, if you had the ability, if you were willing to work hard. All can become rulers. No matter what you are, you will not be discriminated against here, in the Republic, you can taste the wine of giants, you can use the iron of centaurs. You can...live better!"

"Abandon the gods who treat you as playthings and come to me. I will respect you, I will not be the god you treat as playthings, I will not be the god who is ruled by lust. I will respect each and every one of you..."

"Come on, kid. Tell me what your name is."

At Hydra's words, the boy's dispassionate gaze regrouped, and then his body bowed deeply before Hydra.

"I don't have a name, I'm just you, a surrogate on earth."

Hearing the teen's words, the corners of Hydra's mouth lifted again.

"Brainwashing successful."

"Brother, can you really create a society as perfect as you say you can?"

Hydra shook her head when she heard what Gale had said.

"Humans are omnivores, which means they will want to eat meat when they eat too much grass. The kind of society I just talked about is not possible for humans..."

"Eh... then why is big brother helping that group of humans?"

Hearing Gale's words, Hydra smirked.

"Help them? How can we help them. Human faith can strengthen our power, the gods are now fighting in the sky, in other words, they don't have time to worry about things on the ground, if we don't get something out of this god war, we will sooner or later become ashes of the times. Humans are pawns, and if they operate properly, they will serve as a subversive force..."

"No god dares to touch us yet, for behind us stands our father, the giant dragon Typhon. The gods are at war, and no one wants a comparable god-king fighting to the other. But what if our father is dead? We need to be prepared to have the power to defend ourselves, at least until our father dies..."

Hearing Hydra's words, his cyborgs nodded, but then asked, "What are you going to do with that council, brother?"

"The council? Nine of them will be enough."

"Eh? Why do you need nine people?"

I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do this, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do this.

But the necessary questions still had to be answered.

"Because we, brothers, are only nine. The fate of human decision-making should never be placed in the hands of humans themselves, but firmly in our hands. It's enough that the fate of the human race is in our hands. This god war, we must gain enough power to speak. Then we will negotiate with the new group of gods!"

"...Big brother's operation is so rich..."

Hearing his sibling's spat, Hydra also shrugged her shoulders. (If snakes had shoulders.)
