Me, Hydra

I, Hydra, Chapter 35.

As he thought about it, Hercules stood up to something, but his mind was already feeling slightly disappointed in the so-called Hydra.

After the whole day, Hydra was just a fancy bloodline.

Coming to a deserted alleyway, Hercules stood firm.

"Come out, those guys behind me..."

As the words fell, a crisp sound of chains sounded in the darkness. Then, a strong figure appeared in Hercules' eyes.

The pale skin was like that of a corpse soaking in water, but it did not have the deadness of a corpse; instead, it was filled with a shocking explosion of power.

Compared to the other Spartan warriors, the guy standing in front of him looked even more aggressive, his pale skin was inscribed with one dark red rune after another, and his age should be similar to his own, both in their twenties.

"Did Hydra send you here? It would seem that Hydra is only a vain man."

At the words, Quintus shook his head.

"Don't use your narrow mind to ponder the wisdom of Lord Hydra, who once plundered the previous god-king, Uranus's Earth Goddess Grid, from those soft-headed men of Olympus. The moment you set foot in the Peloponnese, you had been discovered by Lord Hydra. It's just that Lord Hydra didn't pay any attention to you..."

At the news, Hercules frowned, but instead of saying something immediately, he continued, "So what do you want with me?"

Shrugging his shoulders, Quintus too rose and pointed at Hercules.

"You, with the blood of that coward Zeus running through your veins!"

"...What do you mean?"

With his mouth agape, Quintus' expression was hideous.

"Blame it on that coward Zeus! It's all because of that coward! It's because of that coward's ugly lust that my mother has suffered so much torment!"

As he said that, Quintus slashed his palm with his dagger, and blood instantly rushed out.

With a wave of his hand, the blood, which still had the residual warmth of flesh, instantly fell onto Hercules' chest.

Crushing it with his fingers, Hercules could feel the intense divinity of it and the... touch of blood!

"You're... my brother..."

"Shut up, I don't have a father!"

At the news, Hercules was embarrassed, and knew something about Zeus Hercules. In fact, during his travels to the land of travel, Hercules had met quite a few people who were related to his bloodline, half-brothers and sisters, and there had been good and bad times among them. Not all of them, but it was a first like this one.

Dragging his chainblade, Quintus began to close in on Hercules in front of him.

"Hydra-san once told me about you. You must be the Hercules who performed the Twelve Trials and whom Hydra-sama called 'the future greatest hero of Greece'. Come on, let's see if you or I am better at studying for that coward god!"

As he said that, Quintus threw his Chaos Blade on the ground, and because of the weight, the lapis lazuli instantly smashed to pieces, but Quintus didn't care about such things and wrapped the chain around his pale arm, Quintus' arm gripping the cold chain towards Hercules.

The steel rubbing against the lapis lazuli made a screeching sound, but Hercules had no time for such things.

"Wait, we don't have a grudge, violence isn't the answer..."

"But it can finish you."

As he said that, Quintus swung his chainblade and turned into a charge at Hercules, which caused Hercules some frustration. In front of him, this brother of his own's emotions towards Zeus didn't seem to be anger in the usual sense of the word, but rather an unspeakable hatred.

The constantly intersecting chain blades caused Hercules to draw his steel sword to parry.

"Enough,"

An icy voice suddenly sounded in the dark alleyway. Loam poured out of the cobblestone, forming the image of Hydra.

"A visitor is a guest, Hercules is here as a guest no matter what, so let's call it a day."

As he said that, the yellow sand once again returned to its original form....

After a moment of silence, Quintus withdrew his chainblade and turned away.

"Tell Zeus that one day I will return to Olympus myself and bring destruction..."

As he said that, Quintus walked towards the exit of the alley on his own, Leonidas, who had been keeping watch at the entrance, took a look at Quintus in front of him and was relieved to find that there were no serious injuries on him.

It was then that there was a voice from Hercules inside.

"Why won't you return to Olympus? With your power that guy Zeus should be giving you a good deal, right?"

At the words, Quintus tugged at the corners of his mouth in disdain, then said aloud, "I'd rather choose to die as a warrior than live as a god."

........

"Begging for tickets."

Volume I: Text-47 - The hatred engraved in your bones

"Are you okay? Why the sullenness?"

Leonidas looked concerned in front of him, Quintus looked dull since Quintus had emerged from the alley.

The only wound on Quintus' body was on his hand, and a place like this simply couldn't be the result of an external force, or only possibly Quintus himself had made it....

Shaking his head, Quintus looked offended.

"What else could it be about...it's not because of the good things that coward Zeus did...that guy was Hercules, and just as we were about to engage in battle Lord Hydra showed up to stop the fight. "

"Wouldn't that be nice? After all, if Hercules is badly wounded in Sparta it could potentially cause diplomatic problems."

Shaking his head, Quintus sulked.

"I understand all of what you're saying...but I just don't feel good about it. When I think of the tragic past he imposed on my mother...Che,"

Hearing Quintus' words, Leonidas shrugged his shoulders indifferently.

Leonidas was a native Spartan, and his talent was considered half a genius. Plus, his family was already quite good, so he didn't have much of a right to gag on what Quintus was experiencing.

Relying on the knowledge he had learned from his Wilderness Survival course, Leonidas found a few bushes of the more common herbs from the side of the road and put them in his mouth to chew. The scraps of herbs were then applied to Quintus' hand and wrapped in a coarse cloth.

"You too, come up here and cut yourself first, next time pay attention, if I remember correctly, you were basically paddling in herb identification class, right?"

Upon hearing that, Quintus scratched his head in some embarrassment.

"Let's be reasonable... Herbs are things that basically look the same, I might as well do a few more push-ups if I have that kind of time..."

Helplessly banging his finger on Quintus' head, Leonidas explained, "You hate Zeus, but tell me yourself, can you beat Zeus?"

"...can't be beaten...I despise him, but his power is unquestionable..."
