Me, Hydra

I, Hydra, chapter 58.

In the midst of an unknown volcano, sounds like muffled thunder continued to ring out.

However it wasn't thunder or the roar of some monster, it was simply Hephaestus, who was the God of Artisans, crafting weapons.

Hephaestus was the child of Zeus and Hera, and by all rights, it should have been a great honor to have such parents, but it wasn't.

Hephaestus was the plain and worldly of the gods, and his craftsmanship came from artistic talent and physical prowess. At the time of his birth, Hephaestus was too ugly for his mother, Hera, and threw him under Mount Olympus, hoping to rid herself of the embarrassment of having such an ugly son.

Despite his good fortune and kindness, Hephaestus survived, and the sea nymphs Thetis and Euronormus raised the young Hephaestus and helped him establish a blacksmith's workshop, where he humbly asked the one-eyed giants around him for advice and improvements on his forging, despite his talent.

With good talent, Hephaestus repaid Thetis and the others by creating beautiful ornaments with extraordinary power.

Then Hera saw the beautiful brooch on Thetis's chest, and through a divine connection in her bloodline, Hera discovered that Hephaestus was not dead. Hephaestus's talent was rare, so Hera brought Hephaestus up to Olympus.

Then on one occasion, Hephaestus accidentally angered Zeus, so Zeus caused Hephaestus to fall down Olympus again, and this time it took Hephaestus a whole day to descend to the ground. Both of his legs were broken when he touched the ground, and although the injury was mended by the divine nature within him, one of them was completely crippled....

When Zeus discovered Hephaestus' talent, he asked Hephaestus to create the Thunderbolt Spear, which gave him the power to fight at the level of a god.

Despite his grief, Hephaestus followed Zeus's orders and created a weapon that would amaze the gods.

The bow of the god of love, the double stranded fork of Hades, the trident of Poseidon, the day chariot that should have belonged to Helios to drive, the golden and silver arrows of Eros and other items of the gods, weapons and even palaces were all built by Hephaestus....

As mentioned before, Hephaestus was not handsome; rather, Hephaestus was very ugly and sometimes very irritable. Because of Zeus, Hephaestus was missing a foot, but this could not cover up Hephaestus's kind soul and dexterous hands.

Suddenly, like muffled thunder, the sound of striking iron stopped.

Walking to the side of the bucket, although it was in the middle of a volcano, the water in the bucket did not show any signs of boiling. On the contrary, the water inside was even emitting cold air.

Sticking his head into the barrel, Hephaestus gulped it down, drinking it for more than half an hour, and judging from the diameter of the barrel alone, it should have been finished long ago. But the fact is the opposite, after Hephaestus drank the water, the bucket was still full of water.

Without hesitation, he used the water in the bucket to wash his face, Hephaestus looked towards the direction of the volcanic cave.

"Is it a visitor? Sorry, just got a little caught up in work. I'm really sorry for slowing you down."

As he said that, Hephaestus scratched his messy hair somewhat apologetically, his silly face was full of apologies, once he started to work on the iron, Hephaestus could not help but forget the things around him, and once he was interrupted, Hephaestus would be very irritable. It was for this reason that he hadn't sensed it in time when Zeus called himself, and then....

Then Herr Jungstoss went lame....

Shaking her head Hydra walked in from the cave entrance.

"How come~ Isn't there a saying that says that when one is focused on doing something, it is when that person is the most attractive~"

At the words, Hephaestus scratched his head in embarrassment, it seemed like the first time someone had praised him so much since he was born....

Shaking his head, Hephaestus grinned.

"While your kind words are very much appreciated, I'm very sorry, Mr. Hydra...we're supposed to be enemies now, aren't we? Come to me and ask what you want?"

Shrugging her shoulders, Hydra said matter-of-factly.

"I'm going to ask you to help me build a bow and arrow."

"Uh...this...we're enemies ah, if my father finds out about such things...sorry, though Hydra-san has no animosity , but from a standpoint I can't proceed with this kind of capital enemy thing."

Hearing Hephaestus' words, Hydra seemed to scratch her head in some annoyance, but then Hydra opened her eyes once more.

"Don't say that~ Your father is only looking at you as a tool anyway, isn't he?"

........

Well, there are many names for the Greek gods of fire, including Hephaestus, Vulcanus, Vulcan, and Vulcan in addition to Hephaestus. Roman and Greek mythology are interconnected, so this book will be called Hephaestus.

Also, the book is now updated with a 1.5K guarantee for a chapter, which translates to a minimum of 1,500 words, usually around 1,700 words, and will stabilize at 2,000 to 3,000 words when it hits the shelves.

Anyway!

begging for tickets!!!

(I just watched Dancing Youth and couldn't stop watching the first episode at all...then again the man's smile is truly magical...)

Volume I: Text - 80 - Communication, Transactions

"Let's be honest, Hephaestus. You are merely a pawn to Zeus. Maybe not even a pawn, since all you have left besides your mental prowess on casting...seems to be that shiny soul, doesn't it? But shining souls aren't nearly as attractive to Zeus as a woman is. If you weren't fancying your craft you probably wouldn't even be a lower god right now."

As she spoke, Hydra loved to reach Hephaestus, her amber snake pupils bursting with unabashed sarcasm. But in the face of Hydra's words, Hephaestus was unmoved.

"If you're trying to compel me, forget it, although my father has done many things to me that are a bit too much, but this is merely a thing of the past for me, and now I just want to quietly strike iron."

Hearing Hephaestus's words, Hydra shook her head. It was clear that Hephaestus was not the type of person that Ares had something on his mind, and when faced with the words of such a person....

"Don't pretend that you're addicted to blacksmithing? This kind of thing sounds impractical. You're just trying to divert the sadness in your heart through one thing... What a pity Na, who is obviously the child of the God King, but was abandoned brightly because of his looks. And even had his leg broken by his own father? Let me guess, do you ever cry when you hit the iron? Oh! No! Because the temperature of the volcano caused that liquid to evaporate clean as soon as it came out~... It's pitiful."

With a teasing tone, Hydra unashamedly uncovered the scars in Hephaestus' heart.

"What the hell do you want?!" Hephaestus said, "If you have come to provoke me you can leave, I will not do anything to you. If you have come 1 to ask me for help, I'm sorry, but I will never help you cast weapons to harm my siblings!"

Shrugging her shoulders, Hydra spoke calmly.

"Calm down~ Calm down some~ I don't mean to be provocative like you do, but isn't it normal to hold the other side's heart in a negotiation? Don't get excited ~ I've heard that every crying child has a spiteful parent. Drowning your thoughts by the founding fire, look at you now, it's pathetic. Have you ever made Zeus your father? Hera was only doing it for the beautiful jewelry in your hand. When Thetis saved you in the first place, it was out of kindness, but Hera couldn't have picked you up in the sky out of compassion. Because if he had, he wouldn't have thrown you into the rough seas in the first place."

As she spoke, Hydra spread her hands.

"Think about it, Hera pledged the most beautiful woman in the gods, Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty, to you in order to recruit you. But everyone knows that, don't they? Aphrodite is too dirty to even look at you, and now she's even nominally married to Ares, but the cuckold continues. Neither the lower gods nor mortal men will reject a woman if they desire her... to marry her to you? Hahahaha, with all due respect, Hera is bullying you for squatting in a volcano pit for years to make iron without knowing what's going on outside."

Upon hearing that, Hephaestus turned his gaze towards Hydra, his cloudy eyes away from being filled with a complexity that was hard to severely understand.

"Now that you've put it that way, I'll be blunt. I don't hate my parents, though they have done many things wrong to me, but to me that's all just a passing fad. Indulging in between forges wasn't to get away from anything, but it was something I was already into. I was ugly and crippled in one foot. But the weapons I forged were the most perfect weapons in all of Greece. And there's no way such a weapon could fall into the hands of someone like you!!!"

Hearing Hephaestus's words, Hydra frowned.

This kind of deadbeat was the most annoying person to Hydra, as this kind of person would never turn back when they recognized something, especially this Hephaestus in front of him, who was as stubborn as a donkey.

"I can't really do anything about you... What exactly do you need to do to be willing to help me build a soldier."

"I'm not going to build you a weapon."

"Won't build me a weapon? Who do you call then?"

"Whoever it is, but only not you! And my weapons will not fall into your hands! He can't belong to you!"

Hearing Hephaestus' words, Hydra raised her lips slightly.

"How about this, let's make a deal?"

"...What do you mean?"

Hearing the deal Hydra was talking about, Hephaestus took a subconscious step back.

Shrugging his shoulders, Hydra said matter-of-factly.
