Me, Hydra

I, Hydra, chapter 133.

"Sublime Jeanne d'Arc seeks an audience."

"Jeanne d'Arc? What does he want with me?"

Hearing the words of the Praetorian Guard, Pope Antonio III frowned.

In fact, Antonio III was very dissatisfied with the identity of Jeanne d'Arc as well as the Saint's alternate. Because Antonio was the patriarch of the first great family in this world, he was inherently hostile towards Jeanne d'Arc, who was born from a village girl and was of the noble class. But the saints are personally ordained by angels, so as the Pope, Antonio can't say anything.......

Still bowing his head, the forbidden guard spoke out words that horrified Antonio.

"According to the subaltern, the prophet has been born!"

"What?!!"

Hearing the words of the forbidden guard, the composure on Antonio's face was instantly replaced by shock.

"Are you saying that the Prophet has been born?!"

Nodding his head, the temple guard repeated what he had just said to the side.

Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, Antonio III, who was the Pope, fell abruptly silent.

Prophets represented progress and change. Every time a prophet appeared, it meant that everything would change dramatically. The nobles who were originally high up in the world might be guillotined in the midst of this change, and those who were living at the bottom of the provincial capital would instead have the opportunity to step into their original positions.

The prophet represents the will of the true God, Jehovah....

Reopening his eyes, Antonio reached a face full of gravity and seriousness.

"Summon all the Cardinals (Cardinals), Metropolitan Bishops, Archbishops, and First Bishops. Make sure that they all reach the Vatican City within three days...no, one day!"

As he spoke, the Pope, Antonio III, strode towards the Vatican's meeting hall.

The prophet was born, representing a change in the world. But this was after all Jeanne's side of the story, whether the prophet Jeanne spoke of was a prophet or not was still undecided, if not then it was business as usual. If it was....

The heavens are about to change for the Vatican....

As he thought, Antonio III took a look through the window at the clear sky outside.

Although it was clear, in Antonio III's eyes there were dark clouds in the sky. And there was no way to know whether the thing that was covered by the dark clouds was hail or a storm....

Shaking his head, Antonio III laughed bitterly.

Although somewhat upset that Jeanne's status was higher than his own, Antonio III wasn't the only one who thought so, in the Middle Ages where status and honor represented everything, it was common for nobles to look down on commoners.

But now, it was no longer just about saints... A prophet was born, it was fine if this prophet was a fake, if it was real.

The heavens are about to change....

Take back your gaze to the window, progress, change.

In the face of the Prophet, Antonio III, a great nobleman, does not want to hold pure respect like a commoner....

"The road ahead is full of unknowns...Praise the Lord and may He bless it."

Volume 1: Text - 171 - I am the Apocalypse

With apprehension, Pope Antonio III came to disrupt the church's meeting hall.

The walls around the chamber were painted with deeds about Michael. One of the images of Michael is holding a single mark of justice in the scales. Thus Michael's image is often seen in places like the courtroom.

Looking at Jeanne, who had obviously been waiting for some time, the Pope bowed slightly as a sign of apology.

Then without waiting for Jeanne to say anything the Pope asked sharply.

"Saint Jeanne d'Arc, may I ask where the prophet you speak of is staying now?"

Looking at the Pope in front of him, Jeanne nodded her head to indicate that she would calm down first, then pointed her finger at Hydra who was smiling calmly at her side.

"If nothing else, Mr. Haider should be the prophet of this era."

Upon hearing that, the Pope looked to Hydra behind Jeanne.

It had to be said that although Hydra didn't stand by the geometry of a person's appearance, but in any case appearance was as important a criterion for judging a person's first impression as education. To put it simply, when two people apply for a resume, usually the person with the higher education will choose the one with the higher education. And in this era, looks, identity, family are all a kind of education.

With a spring-like smile on his face, the Pope subconsciously thought that Hydra was the heir of some big family.

And what was even more shocking to the Pope was that Hydra looked so young, knowing that the last prophet, Moses, had only received the Lord's Apocalypse when he was about 40 years old.

When Moses was just a baby, he was floating on the water in a basket. Pharaoh's daughter rescued Moses from the water and gave him a name. The princess rescued Moses and raised him as her own son. Moses grew up and accidentally killed a soldier who was beating the Jews. In order to escape Pharaoh's pursuit, Moses came to Midian and married Zipporah, the daughter of a priest, and had two sons, Gershon and Eliezer. Later, in a moment of accident, Moses was divinely inspired to return to Egypt and lead the Jews living in slavery there away from the land of milk and honey, aka: Canaan, as promised by God.

Moses was the greatest of the prophets in the Jewish perception of the world. He was the supreme leader of the Jews, a warrior, statesman, poet, moralist, historian, and legislator of the Hebrews. According to the Bible, he spoke personally with God and was inspired by him to lead the migration of the Hebrew nation from Egypt to God's Promised Land.

As he led the Hebrews through the Red Sea, God parted the waters to reveal a dry land of water, which made walls to their right and left. The Hebrews crossed the sea as if they were walking on flat ground. As the Egyptian soldiers pursued them into the Red Sea, God made the waters come together and drowned their pursuers, allowing them to escape.

No matter what time it was, the prophet always gave the impression of being a wise old man with a white beard, but the man before him, Hyde, was so young.

But despite that, from Hyde's eyes, the Pope could still see the seemingly endless knowledge.

Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, the Pope's Adam's apple moved up and down.

Before the Pope could say anything, a Cardinal dressed in red had arrived in the conference room.

"Pope, are you telling the truth?!"

With a glance at the old man behind him, with his folds and white beard, the Pope nodded. Then he turned his gaze to the Hyde in front of him.

"This is the prophet of this era that Jeanne d'Arc spoke of, but it's still only a suspicion, we can't tell if he's a true prophet or not."

Upon hearing that, that Cardinal followed the Pope's gaze and looked at Hydra in front of him.

Compared to the Pope, this Cardinal in front of him was clearly the true believer who had dedicated his entire faith to Jehovah.

After a moment of silence, this cardinal nodded.

"What wise eyes these are, which no mortal man can possess. Although he said nothing, I believe that he is the prophet of this age."

As he spoke, the Cardinal leaned down and kissed Hydra's toes.

Regardless of the era, the honored one was always known to be the head, and the head of state would be called the head. And the lowest of all was the foot, for he was dusty.

Kissing the toes meant two things, one was to submit as you do, and the other was to respect and worship.

Now the Cardinal's behavior was undoubtedly the latter, as prophets are important in all religions, and to the fanatics, they are the earthly projection of the true God, Jehovah. A being worthy of all they had to protect.

"Bishop Walker, whether this warrior is a prophet or not is yet to be determined, you..."
