Me, Hydra

I, Hydra, chapter 160.

But let's just get this book done first before we talk about it....

Volume 2: Extra - 15 - The Really Strong

The meeting lasted almost the entire morning, and although it was so little time in an emergency, there was no small amount of hooking up going on.

Although there was no in-depth communication, Hydra had gotten to know the participants of the Holy Grail War.

One of the people that Hydra found perhaps the most tricky was the man behind Elisfil, and while Hydra liked to play tricks in the not-so-land, that didn't mean that Hydra wanted that for her enemies either.

Webb was just that, a naive little guy. Handling it should be the easiest of this Grail War, and judging by his words and actions he should be running to the Grail War in a huff. The lemonhead named Kenneth seems to be his division commander, and seems to be a nice guy on a soul level, and seems to be a bit of a threat when it comes to being well organized about the extra token spell against the Tokiyo Enzaka.

But nowhere near as much of a threat as the one behind Elisifel.

The man Sakura called Uncle Goose Night had been sitting in the gloom of the Gala, and though he hadn't said a word, Hydra had been able to sense that its realization had been on him. From Sakura's description alone it should be a mercurial person, and held a deep animosity towards that guy called Endosaka Tokimasa, which might be exploited through some means.

The only one that hadn't shown up yet was the assassin's imperial lord, which made Hydra a bit unsure.

The assassin's imperial master didn't appear in this meeting, only a follower with a blackish body came, although a follower, but in Hydra's perception, that assassin's follower was a bit too weak no matter which angle it was from. Even the breath was a bit erratic. If it was ranked in the seat of the English Spirit, it would definitely be a hanger-on type as well....

But is that really it?

So thinking, Hydra speculated up her chin.

As she was thinking, Hydra suddenly saw what appeared to be a few familiar figures in the corner cafe.

Webb and Kenneth, and their follower.

With a slightly raised eyebrow, Hydra entered the cafe with a smile on her face.

"Oh, caster, I didn't expect you to be here! Would you like to sit down and have a drink with me? My treat!"

Seeing the arrival of Hydra, the Conquest King who was covered in coiled muscles immediately invited excitedly.

Hearing the Conquering King's Chinese, Hydra didn't say anything yet, but Webb, who was doing communication with Kenneth on the side, suddenly exploded, "You guy!!!! Why can you talk so skillfully when I'm the one paying for it?"

"Well, aren't you my Mikado? You're supposed to give me pocket money, right? Say it again! If you know yourself and your enemy, you'll never be in danger! Maybe we'll even learn the caster's weaknesses and strengths over drinks!"

Hearing the Conquering King's words, Hydra shrugged her shoulders carelessly.

Looking at the Conquering King's grounded, t-shirt with the Chocolate and Vanilla logo on the chest, Hydra still couldn't help it, tugging slightly at the corners of her mouth.

"I'll take that as a compliment."

As she said that, Hydra also made it to a chair in the coffee shop.

It was a corner, but it still seemed to be the place that stood out.

A strong man in a pain suit over two meters tall, a well-dressed white blond, a handsome curly-haired guy, a weakly-suffering young student and Hydra, who had a smile on her face that was like a breath of fresh air.

Either way, it was a very solid combination, and most of their looks skewed towards Europe and even the Middle East....

Feeling the stares around him, Hedra didn't really care. Rather, it was Weber who gave the impression of being on edge.

Winterwood was a city that was neither too big nor too small to say the least. Under the influence of the magician family, those so-called natural gas explosions and underground pipeline explosions were only reported in a few words on the city television or newspaper, and even more so, the magazines with a slightly larger coverage wouldn't even mention their names. It used to be one of the top ten urban wonders in Winterwood, but it was usually just something people talked about as an after-dinner story.

Looking at Webb in front of him, Kenneth had a bit of a hate-fest.

"First of all, you need to remember the honor you have as a magician. Being noticed is a matter of course, and if you tremble like you surely will be looked down upon. Did you learn everything in etiquette class for nothing?"

Hearing Kenneth's reprimand, Webber scratched his head in embarrassment.

In fact, Webber had a natural fear of Kenneth, who had been called a genius since he was a child, and in every aspect, Kenneth was far superior to Webber, who was called "Muggle". In fact, if Kenneth hadn't torn up the thesis that he had been working on for over three years in front of Webber, he would still be in the Clock Tower under the discrimination of other students and tutors from other big families.

It should be known that although Kenneth was superficially arrogant towards students, he actually took good care of hardworking students like Webber....

Even the holy relic of Webb's participation in the Grail War was stolen from Kenneth....

Looking at Webb in front of him, Kenneth shook his head sadly.

"I really don't know what to say to you, but do you think you're going to get a reputation after that paper of yours is published?"

"...Yeah."

Hearing Kenneth's words, Weber nodded. Kenneth, on the other hand, shook his head.

"So you're still too young. You're just a third-generation magician family, and your strength is so thin that you're presumptuously trying to pry the existing balance in the magician world? Not discriminating against you, think about it. If that paper of yours is published, with your family, your strength, your connections. Can you withstand the targeting from the entire extended family of the magician community?"

"........"

Webb looked a little silent, or distraught. Hydra didn't even have to peer into Webb's thoughts, she could see the mental activity just by which kept clenching and unclenching and then in the infinite cycle of clenching and unclenching of Webb's hands.

Getting a broad overview of the specific state of affairs, Hydra shook her head with some amusement. With a glance at the conquering king who was constantly trying to recruit himself, Hydra said calmly, "The conquering king."

"Well?"

Looking at the conquering king who looked confused, Hydra shook her head helplessly.

"Your Imperial Lord is really a bit overly naive~"

Hearing of Hydra's Chinese descent, the Conquering King was startled at first, then boldly, with a big smile, said, "Wouldn't that be better! To be truly strong is to break through the clouds and shatter the confusion! And then the one who decides the path of self!"

........

There's another shift at midnight....

Volume 2: Extra - 16 - Gifting

"Not to be powerful is to be strong, but the truly strong are those who know their place, who understand what they should be doing and what they should be doing. They choose their own path and move forward. Lu Bu followed the strong, but wasn't he hanged by Cao Cao at the White Gate Tower? The ultimate beneficiary of the most sought after power and glory is not necessarily yourself~"

As she said that, Hydra spread her hands at Weber.

Looking at a thoughtful Weber, Hydra continued.

"It's actually quite simple, isn't it? Take me for example. Since the beginning of my possession of power, I have not really fought with all my might for more than a handful of indexes, but even then no one has dared to underestimate me by half. From what I've observed, your talent is not in cultivation."

After saying that, Hydra stopped speaking. Instead, he quietly took a sip of coffee from his cup with half-lidded eyes.

The taste was a bit strange, it should be freeze-dried coffee....

Although the freeze dried coffee tastes like it has lost less nutrients than any other instant coffee, it is... a little noticeably rough on Hydra's tongue....

But this is also the norm in street coffee shops, you know, freeze dried coffee is many times, if not five or six times more expensive than other types of instant coffee. Usually the shops under the strong madness choose to sell at thin margins, and pure freshly ground coffee is not easy to find these days....

Especially in Japan, where there are no coffee plantations....

Kenneth who was thinking about the side suddenly looked at Hydra.

"By the way, caster are you really a space making imperial envoy?"
