Me, Hydra

I, Hydra, chapter 217.

Because of the recent end of the time experience, the current Hydra had a strange bulging feeling of power within her. In order to prevent this power from backfiring on itself, Hydra recovered part of its original body, and simply put, Hydra was now back to its original half-dragon, half-human state.

The lizard's crushed golden eyes were like a cat's eye stone under dazzling lights. But compared to the cat's eye stone, Hydra's pupils were filled with colors as alien as broken gold foil.

Just thinking about it, there was a sudden knock at the door.

"May I ask if Mr. Hydra is home? I'm Coulson, and Boss sent me to ask you something. Of course, if you're busy right now I'll be leaving."

The strained tone reached Hydra's ears, and Hydra felt a bit helpless with regards to Coulson. An unquestionably perpetual backstabber, he was probably the most native folk of this world that Hydra had seen besides the Ancient One Mage.

From the time he first descended in this world, Hydra and then now, Coulson had come to see him no less than five times. Even when Hei ching applied for supplies (snacks) support when he was practicing with the Ancient One Mage, it was Colson who came to him....

"Come on in," Hydra shrugged, though the so-called shrugged her shoulders.

"It's not like I'm in some dragon's lair anyway~"

At the news, Coulson pushed the door open with a good-natured look and walked in.

Although apparently steady as an old dog, Coulson could feel that if he didn't know that he had injected a trace amount of tranquilizer before coming, his legs and stomach would now be unable to walk down the path due to shivering.

"This is much more dangerous than the Dragon's Den..."

Despite that thought, at least on the surface Coulson didn't dare to show even the slightest hint of discontent.

"Here's the thing, Mr. Hydra. You spent some time in the Amazon jungle earlier, and the visions you caused have spread throughout the world thanks to the internet. It's a bit embarrassing, but for the sake of the general public, may I ask if that jungle is a danger to the world in any way?"

As he spoke, Coulson, fearing there was something in his words that might upset Hydra, added, "Of course, if you want to say you can leave it out, I'll go back and gag those politicians. You know, I've already seen their displeasure too."

At the news, Hydra shook her head.

"Don't worry about that, if you're hard pressed to say what effect it will have on the world, it can only be that the Amazon jungle will be better for creatures to live in the future. As for that group of politicians? Well, that's it~"

Not hearing anything fishy in Hydra's tone, Coulson was relieved. Then he joked, "Looks like I'll need to buy a house in the Amazon jungle to retire in later~"

"Of course, living in the current Amazon jungle year-round would extend your life span by 10 years without a problem. Of course, only if you can ensure that the environment you live in is free of poisonous insects as well as being able to adapt to that hot and humid environment. As far as I know, in Chinese medical theory, the heat and humidity can be unpleasant."

At the news, Coulson hemmed and hawed a few times.

After a moment of silence, looking at Hydra and Black Chastity in front of him, Coulson stood up and said, "I've asked everything I need to ask, so I'm not going to disturb the two of you."

As he said that, Coulson bowed slightly, before turning around and leaving.

Hydra didn't stop her at this either. Like Coulson had said, Coulson's arrival should have been the result of pressure from politicians no matter what.

Although he didn't know much about Nick Fury, based on Hydra's observations, Nick Fury wasn't the kind of man who liked to take risks at will.

"Oh, politicians, politicians."

Hydra bobbed her head.

Politician was undoubtedly a derogatory term, but this one didn't detract from it in the same way that the others did.

Quite the contrary, the word politician represented a right that was near the top of the heap in today's society.

Entitlement, regardless of the time, is coveted. For power is equated with profit. The higher the power, the greater the profit.

Hydra had no ill will towards politicians, and to achieve her goals, Hydra had no idea how many days of anger she had done. By the end of the day Hydra didn't even bother with the so-called guilt in her heart.

As a quote from the movie goes, when people do bad things, they have a stone full of edges to grind on their hearts. When you do a lot of bad things, the edges of the stone are smoothed out. And then, you don't feel the heartache when you do bad things. And the so-called guilt, too, disappears....

In this, Hydra thought deeply.

"But they should never, ever have messed with me..."

Hydra looked at the back of his scaly hand, his lizard-like vertical eyes playful.

The politicians themselves were not wrong in their actions, but they were wrong in miscalculating the strength of their side and the other side.

"What's going on?" Looking at Hydra in front of him, Black Chastity was keenly aware of the unusual scent of meaning.

"This is the rhythm of fucking things up!"

Kurochae couldn't help but widen her eyes.

There was no doubt that Kurochae was already feeling the full torture of this boring daily routine that was like putting biscuits on an iron for three days.

What was the best way to deal with an ADHD? It's about tying him to a chair and keeping him firmly trapped with a rope so that he can't roll over in his sleep, so that he can't aim for the toilet.

And Black Chastity is undoubtedly suffering....

Looking at Black Chastity in front of her, Hydra nodded.

"Just as you thought, it's time to teach those politicians a lesson." As she said that, Hydra rightfully shrugged her shoulders, "I didn't have time to pay attention to them before because of the Eye of Aggomotor, but now that I'm free, I'd be bored if I didn't find something to do~"

"Viva!"

Hearing Hydra's approval, Black Chastity was as happy as if she had seen a bear of a relative's brother's Genjo Gundam collector's edition.

From a bear's perspective, what Hei Chaste saw was plastic villains beckoning to her one after another. The ninety-eight escaped smiles seemed to say again, "Come play bad with me~."

Asking for a ticket....

Volume II: Exceptions - 20 - Meetings

Returning to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Sky Mothership, Coulson breathed a sigh of relief. Although he knew that even in the mothership he was just as unable to escape Hydra's grasp, there was still a bit of resistance anyway....

Well, maybe.

Looking back at Coulson, a Nick Fury came over to the side.

"How's it going, is everything okay?"

Nodding, the relief on Coulson's face was obvious.

"Fortunately, Mr. Hydra doesn't seem to be the unreasonable type, and besides, according to Hydra's words, life expectancy should be extended by ten years if you live in the Amazon jungle year round. I'm going to apply for my next two months' pay, and I hope the Director will agree by then."

Surprised by the news, Nick Fury raised an eyebrow, then asked in confusion, "Life extension? Why?"

"I'm not sure, I guess there's a spill of trace elements somewhere because of Hydra-san~"

Hearing Coulson's answer, Nick Fury stroked his chin thoughtfully.

"I see... the payroll's is on hold until that group from the Institute sends back the information. You go ahead and rest for a while, and report back to me later on the whole thing."

Upon hearing that, Coulson nodded and headed to his office to gather up his papers.

Seeing Coulson to his departure, Nick Fury nodded.
