Medical Return
08. Genius of medicine? (2)
“Oh, how did you get here? ”
The reception nurse looked suspicious when she saw him.
It was odd that a cute boy, who seemed only in his midteens at a cancer screening hospital, came alone.
“Pediatrics is in that building over there. ”
“I'm not here to see a doctor, I'm here to check the test results with Kim Sangmin's guardian. ”
“Mr. Kim Sangmin? ”
It was my father's hamza.
“Yes, I had an endoscopy at 2: 00 this afternoon. ”
“And you're a guardian? ”
The nurse opened her eyes and asked.
He, too, is now 17 years old.
However, he looked much younger because his face was so long. Do I have to take good care of you, junior high?
However, he spoke like an adult with a circular young appearance, so he was both inconsistent and cute.
“The test results were told by the doctor to the adults. Don't worry too much. ”
Jinhyun was frustrated by what he said.
‘It's more because you look good. I have to get old fast. ’
In my previous life, I was often despised because of my unconvincing appearance.
No-one is ignoring him now, but he has an atypical appearance that doesn't match his mental age.
‘It's a terrible thing to keep going until 30 years later. Do I have to wear glasses to make it look crisp? ’
Jinhyun said.
“It's wrong because of the test results. I want to talk to your doctor about something strange, so please connect. ”
The nurse raises her head and picks up the phone.
“Doctor, you're busy right now... I'll tell you what, so wait. ”
Tutu.
I heard a man's voice behind the beep.
Hello.
“Ah, sir? Kim Sangmin's guardian, who was tested this afternoon, wants to come and discuss the test results. ”
Oh, I'm busy. He didn't have anything special in his examination, so explain it and send it back.
I even heard Jinhyun's annoying voice.
The nurse said in a sorry voice.
“The teacher is busy right now. The test results were nothing special, so you don't have to worry too much. If you come with your parents later, I'll explain in detail. ”
Jinhyun shook his head.
“I'm sorry that you're busy taking your time. But there's a reason to discuss the test results right now. As a caregiver and family member of a patient, even though I am a child, please tell me again. ”
The nurse had a hard look.
However, Jinhyun's tone and attitude were so firm that he could not be sent back as a child.
Eventually I picked up the phone.
“Me, sir? The caregiver I told you about wanted to see you.... ”
Oh, that's annoying. Then tell them to come in!
It was a voice full of annoyances.
Jinhyun was guided to the front of the clinic.
“Wait a minute. I'll call you soon. ”
But unlike that, I haven't heard from him in a long time.
After an hour or so, Jinhyun was called.
“Mr. Kim Sangmin, come in. ”
Inside, there was a man in a white robe who looked like he was in his mid-30s, looking at a computer monitor.
A man who hadn't taken his eyes off the monitor for a long time, even though Jinhyun came in, turned his eyes.
“What, you're a kid? Didn't you say you're a guardian? ”
Jinhyun said to himself, "I'm annoyed.
“This is my son.”
The young doctor frowned.
“Your father's test showed no specific findings other than slight inflammation. I explained everything to my father after the exam. ”
Why bother?
“What exactly were the inflammatory findings? ”
“What?”
The doctor replied with dryness, as if he knew it.
“It was chronic gastritis. I explained everything to your father. ”
But Jinhyun did not ask.
“Erosive? Was it Metaplastic? Was there any suspicion of pre-cancerous lesions? ”
The doctor was astonished at the jargon protruding from Ated's mouth.
But for a moment, I think I searched the Internet, too.
‘You know, it bothers me. ’
The doctor deliberately used professional terminology.
“It was a typical erosive gastritis with diffuse hyperemic changes in the anterum and body. ”
The doctor looked stiffly at his progress.
However, Jinhyun only calmed down.
“You've seen the body, the back wall, too? ”
“That's..... ”
The doctor was flawed.
The posterior wall of the body is where the endoscope does not reach well. I don't see it well unless I look carefully.
‘Did I see you well? ’
Jinhyun asked again.
“No placebo, spontaneous bleeding, atypical boundary findings? ”
“ ……!! ”
The doctor's complexion was firm.
“Well, that..... ”
I haven't looked at it that closely.
The findings Jinhyun spoke of are those suggesting cancer, but they were difficult to observe if gastritis was severe.
‘I don't think so.... ’
The doctor replied that he was troubled.
“... nothing like that. ”
Jinhyun sighed.
This young doctor's words did not seem to be credible.
“I'm sorry... can't you show me a gastroscopy? ”
The doctor, who had a high degree of pride in his words, had an unpleasant expression.
“There were really no findings you said. If that's what you're wondering, you don't have to worry about it, so stop pushing people out. ”
But Jinhyun couldn't back down. It is the life of my father, not the other way around.
He was a surgeon who had seen countless patients with gastric cancer in his previous life.
Endoscopic photographs could be interpreted better than anyone else.
“Please. I'm worried about my father. Let me see your photos. ”
But the doctor rather told the nurse.
“Please let the next patient in. ”
A nurse in a bad mood said with a difficult face.
“That student. Now we need to see the next patient……. ”
After all, Jinhyun said strongly.
“Article 21 (2) of the current medical law stipulates that if the immediate survival or impairment of the patient so requires, the patient must be provided with access to or a copy of the record. If you force me out like this, it's a violation of medical law. ”
“ ……! ”
The doctor frowned.
Of course, Jinhyun's decree requires documents proving the patient's immediate existence and deception, but that's it. Just go to the East Office and you can get out quickly.
“Got it! I'll show you the picture you want. ”
Then I clicked the mouse and zoomed in.
“Come here and see! ”
Jinhyun stared at the monitor, swallowing his saliva.
The red endoscopic image moved along the mouse.
‘Top, middle, bottom……. ’
The doctor said in a disdainful voice, as if he knew.
“It's inflammatory to look red here. Overall, there were no findings other than inflammation. ”
It was exactly what the doctor said. It was definitely just inflammation.
"Are you sure you don't have cancer? ’
But it was in the picture from the middle to the top.
Jinhyun's face hardened.
“Wait! Please show this picture again in a moment. ”
“What?”
“Picture 18. ”
“What's wrong with that? ”
“Show me.”
The doctor frowned. The mice were moved with annoying mixed hands.
“Now, look. ”
“ ……! ”
“Now that I've seen it, I'm done. Go out.”
And the doctor tried to shut down the endoscope.
But... At that moment, Jinhyun's voice trembled.
“This... what is this? ”
“Huh...? ”
Jinhyun said with his eyes fixed in the corner of the screen.
“Isn't this... stomach cancer? ”
