"That’s how it is! They applied for jobs, and I thought they were rare talents, so I decided to personally show respect and sincerity. I hoped that those very capable SEALs could join my company. How could I have known they were terrorists?"

Gao Yang looked extremely annoyed, sitting in front of three people responsible for interrogating him.

The battle between the four members of Cerberus in the restaurant didn’t cause Gao Yang any harm, but he still had ongoing problems because many people saw him dining with some members of Cerberus. When Karl and others forced their way out, Gao Yang and Joseph were, of course, strictly contained.

"Did you know them before? Have you met them?"

Gao Yang replied very angrily, "I don’t know them, except for the leader named Karl. I don’t even know their names. Today was the first time I saw them at the company, then he asked me to talk. Aside from dinner, I had no free time, so I arranged to meet him at the restaurant, that’s it."

There were three people questioning Gao Yang; although this was an interrogation, the interrogators were still very polite.

Gao Yang looked at his watch, exhaled, then said angrily, "Enough, I have fulfilled my duty as a citizen, and I have told everything I know. If you have more questions, wait for my lawyer to come!"

After speaking, Gao Yang slammed his hand heavily on the table and said very angrily, "This damn day, I’m the victim! I’ve had a lot of money stolen from me! Damn, how could I arrange to meet at a restaurant—a foolish mistake! Now I have to suffer the consequences of meeting with several terrorists, it’s truly damned, just speak to my lawyer next, I’ve had enough!"

The Presiding Officer closed the record book and said very gently, "Mr. Gao, we only asked you here to inquire about the situation at the time. You are not considered a suspect; otherwise, this wouldn’t be the place for questioning you. In addition, I advise you not to call your lawyer because the questioning is over. We may need your cooperation for follow-up questioning, but that’s all for today, Mr. Gao, thank you for your cooperation."

Gao Yang stood up, shook hands with the Presiding Officer, and was then very politely escorted out.

After Gao Yang left, one of the three said in a low voice, "Just let him go like that? I think it’s better to interrogate him carefully."

The Presiding Officer shook his head with a bitter smile, "There’s no chance for that; the mayor just called to inquire about Mr. Gao, we can’t go too far. Besides, all their communications were monitored; they did indeed meet for the second time, and the evidence submitted by Solar System Company is very complete—the individuals submitted job applications to them."

The three hurried back to Gao Yang’s luxury car, and once they were inside, Gao Yang exhaled deeply, then immediately said, "Quick, my satellite phone."

Karima handed Gao Yang the satellite phone, and Gao Yang directly dialed the responsible cleaner in Houston, but no one answered, so he immediately called Murphy.

Gao Yang heaved a sigh of relief and whispered, "Great, is there any news about those people?"

"Yes, a barber reported—four people got haircuts there and then tied him up. No surprises, it’s those people."

"A barber? Getting a haircut while on the run? Are you sure it’s them?"

"Certainly, because two beaten-up policemen were found nearby."

Gao Yang felt a bit uncomfortable, maybe a kind of "the death of a rabbit is sorrow for a fox" mood, not quite understanding why he found it somewhat poignant.

"So, can they certainly be killed?"

Murphy slowly replied, "This represents national will—only four people, no matter how formidable, can’t confront national will. So you have nothing to worry about. When they’re dead, I’ll give you evidence of their deaths for reassurance. Just wait for the outcome, have a nice day."

After hanging up the phone, Gao Yang hesitated for a moment, then dialed Grand Ivan.

When Grand Ivan answered, Gao Yang said in a deep voice, "Those guys intended to seek revenge on you, haha, but there’s no need to worry anymore because they’re doomed—the U.S. will remove them for you, so this matter ends here."

Grand Ivan was silent for a moment, then replied with a hint of surprise, "Want to kill me? Are you sure? Do they know where I am? Or did the U.S. Government intentionally leak my situation to them?"

Gao Yang briefly explained what happened, detailing everything he witnessed. Then, in a deep voice, he said, "From what I’ve observed, the U.S. Government is striving to prevent them from seeking revenge on you. As for the information leak, I suspect there might be another channel."

Grand Ivan fell silent again, possibly contemplating, then after a while whispered, "Do me a favor, I need them to come after me for revenge; it’s crucial for me. So, can you save those four guys?"

Gao Yang was stunned and then whispered, "What did you say? Repeat it, I’m worried I might have misheard something."
