Middle-aged Adventurer Kein’s Good Deed

60. The Bastard of the Randall Family

Kidd, the leader of the children of the orphanage, was born as a common son of Count Randall, lord of the Randall region, where this city of Ern is located.

Even though his mother was the daughter of a low-status werewolf (Warwolf), Kidd inherited the qualities of Count Randall, a prestigious lord, from a very young age, and was too wise.

That was unhappy for Kid.

The Earl already had his eldest son, Custer, who was deposited in an orphanage in the Church by the Earl concerned about future inheritance disputes.

It was a harsh procedure, but as an orphan of the Church, it would prove that he would no longer have the ambition to take it.

Rather, it was for Kid's own safety.

"Mr. Kane, I'm the one your brother Custer is after. If it weren't for me, this would be..."

Kidd, coming out of the back of the church, told Kane all that had happened before and moaned so.

"Kid wouldn't be bad"

"But even Mr. Kane is in danger."

"Never mind. Protecting children is an adult role."

Kane comforts Kid by saying so.

"Master Custer was jealous of his brother Kid."

Leonora, the female knight leaning against Kidd, snapped so.

"Speaking of which, you've occasionally seen yourself in church."

When Kane said that, Leonora, a woman knight with long chestnut hair, laughed.

"Count Randall did not abandon the young man. So this is how I, the knight of the Randall family, was raising and protecting young people in the shadows."

"That's why you're here to help Kid"

"I came in a hurry when I heard Master Custer say he was going to be Lord's deputy and capture Master Kidd. But I lost it late. Already, by order of Master Custer, the city is surrounded by the armies of the Count."

I left once, but sooner or later they'll bring more troops.

Leonora looked at the altar and laughed at herself, saying that the only way to get here was by God.

"Pray, Knight Leonora. God is always on the side of the right people."

That's what Cephilia, the Virgin who stands on the altar, says.

Leonora, who can no longer but pray, knelt down and prayed to the altar of the gods.

"Yes, God and we are on the right side. All right, we're on our side!

Meteor hero Abel says so in a leap forward.

"But I do not have the reward to pay you."

Even if Leonora flips her purse, she doesn't have a lot of money.

I can't afford to hire many adventurers here.

"I don't need any money, Mr. Knight. We owe Mr. Kane a great deal. If Mr. Kane wants to protect that orphan girl, we'll fight together. That's all."

Abel, who called herself a hero, decided to be bishy at the best here, but she was laughing at everyone with her eyes dotted in her ear by Xala saying, "What's wrong with you now, Kid? You're a boy".

Still, the thoughts were all together.

"Abel, Mr. Xala. Thanks everyone. Sorry, but I can help you here!

Kane says in a powerful voice sometime.

At any rate, I made up my mind that I would absolutely protect Kid.

"It stinks of water, Mr. Kane."

"Yes, I can only wield my sword, so tell me whenever you want!

Kane repeated that it was in every adventurer.

"Mr. Kane. Still, I can't believe it involves everyone at my convenience..."

Kane laughs as he reassures Kid, who says anxiously.

"Kid, I told you. It's an adult job to protect children. Now we just have to be protected by adults."

The villagers in the village of Tochi, who were there on the spot, also began to say that they would fight along with whether there was anything to feel in this air.

"Yes, if he's the son of the same lord, this Kid is better than Custer."

There's got to be something we can do.

Tochi village chief Linnell says on behalf of the villagers.

"Dear Kane, Kid, please tell us what we can do."

"The people of Tochi Village, please stay with Kid. In some situations, it would be helpful if you could run away with us."

"Okay. As much as I can, I will repay you for saving Kane."

I'm happy with your feelings, but you can't just let the villagers fight.

But with the villagers, we might be able to escape the city, which is well lost and besieged.

There, Randall, the bear killer adventurer who was keeping an eye on the church table, rushes in.

"Mr. Kane, my God! Looks like they hired mercenaries. The number of enemies was slightly over a hundred!

War runs to everyone.

The aspirations of the adventurers gathered in the Church are only a dozen.

Still, I endured the battle against that evil god, all the adventurers in the war.

"All right, I'll definitely protect Mr. Kane and Kid! Follow Meteor Hero Abel!

Abel, a young hero, pulled out his meteor sword to excite everyone and jumped first.

The adventurers laughed face-to-face and decided to be ready to fight through to protect the church following Abel.
