The afternoon sun filtered through the large windows of Evelyn’s private study.

Stacks of documents, USB drives, and printed records covered the polished table. Liam stood beside Rowena, arms crossed, as the two women reviewed the latest evidence.

"We’re building a strong case," Liam said, voice steady. "The embezzlement, bribes, and shell companies are all connected. Harrison won’t be able to hide once this goes public."

Evelyn’s fingers paused on a page. Tension showed in her shoulders. "You really intend to take him to court?"

Liam nodded. "I confronted him directly yesterday. I showed him everything and gave him one last chance to make things right before it stopped being his choice."

Internally, Liam kept his expression neutral. He couldn’t mention what had really happened in that office Josephine in his arms legs wide spread, moaning his name while Harrison stood there covered in cum and squirt.

He knew Harrison would eventually try to spin some disgraceful story. But as long as Liam controlled the narrative, he still held the upper hand.*

Evelyn remained quiet for a long moment. The gap between her quiet promise to back Grace and actually stepping forward was narrowing, but it hadn’t closed.

While they were still talking, Rowena’s phone buzzed. She stepped aside to answer, then nodded to Liam. "Grace agreed to meet, but she sounded hesitant. I’ll go pick her up now."

Earlier that morning, Rowena had called Grace and explained everything in detail the new evidence they had gathered against Harrison, Liam’s direct confrontation with him, and how they planned to bring him down through legal action.

She had also told her that Liam was fully committed to this fight and that, with him involved, Grace would at least have real protection this time. It was that assurance that had finally convinced Grace to consider coming.

Rowena left the house and drove across town to Grace’s modest apartment building. She parked outside and took a moment to compose herself before knocking on the door.

Grace opened it after a long pause. She looked exhausted dark circles under her eyes, hair tied back messily, wearing a simple gray sweater and jeans that had seen better days.

At thirty-eight, the years of stress had left visible lines on her face, but there was still a quiet strength in her posture.

"Rowena?" Grace’s voice was guarded. "I... I’m not sure about this. I told you on the phone I’d think about it."

Rowena offered a calm, professional smile. "I understand completely. We’re not here to pressure you.

Liam and Evelyn just want to show you what we’ve gathered so far. No commitment. If you want to walk away after hearing everything, that’s your choice."

Grace hesitated, biting her lip. She glanced back into her apartment, where a photo of her and a teenage boy Damien sat on a side table. The boy in the picture looked angry even then.

"I have a son," Grace said quietly. "Damien is nineteen now, same age as Liam. He already barely speaks to me. He blames me for what happened with Harrison. If I do this and it goes wrong... I’ll lose him for good."

Rowena nodded with understanding. "I know the risks. But staying silent hasn’t protected you either. This time, you won’t be alone."

Grace stood there for nearly a minute, internal battle clear on her face. Finally, she grabbed her coat. "Fine. But I’m not promising anything."

The drive back to Evelyn’s house was quiet. Grace stared out the window, hands clenched in her lap. Rowena didn’t push for conversation, respecting the woman’s space.

When they arrived, Grace entered the lounge looking pale and guarded. Evelyn sat beside her. Liam stood near the window, giving her space.

Grace’s voice trembled when she spoke. "I don’t know if I can do this. Every time I think about standing up in court, I remember how easily he can get things done .My reputation, my career was destroyed everything."

She swallowed hard. "And Damien... he’s the same age as you, Liam. Nineteen. He barely speaks to me. He blames me for everything that happened. If this blows up and I lose again, he’ll hate me even more. I’m terrified of dragging him into this."

The fear in her voice was raw. She wasn’t ready to testify. The idea of facing Harrison in court still paralyzed her.

Liam listened without interrupting. When she finished, he spoke calmly. "This isn’t about forcing you, Grace. The choice has to be yours. But Harrison has spent years believing no one can touch him. That ends when the people he broke decide they’ve had enough."

Grace stayed silent for a long time. Tears glistened in her eyes, but she fought them back. She looked at Evelyn, then at Liam, hands shaking.

"I’m still so scared," she whispered. "I don’t know if I’m strong enough. Damien already looks at me like I’m the reason his life is messed up. If I do this and it fails... I’ll lose him completely."

The room grew heavy. Evelyn reached out and gently squeezed Grace’s hand. Grace didn’t pull away, but she also didn’t give an immediate answer. The decision to testify still hung unresolved.

Liam watched her carefully. He could see the war inside her fear versus the small spark of anger that had kept her going.

He thinks I’m weak. Maybe he’s right."She laughed bitterly. "I’ve spent years telling myself to stay quiet. But every time I see you, Liam... I wonder if staying quiet is what made Harrison so untouchable."

Evelyn spoke softly. "You don’t have to decide today. But you’re not alone in this."

Grace wiped her eyes. "I know. That’s what scares me more. If I say yes to testifying, I’m not just risking myself. I’m risking my son hating me forever."

The conversation stretched. Grace asked questions, voiced fears, and circled back to the same doubts. Liam answered honestly but never pushed. He knew forcing her would break the fragile trust.

By the time the sun began to set, Grace still hadn’t given a firm yes. She stood slowly, exhaustion clear on her face.

"I need more time," she said. "But... I’m not saying no. Not yet."Liam nodded. "Take the time you need. This only works if it’s your choice."

Grace left with Rowena driving her back

But she refused insisting she wants go go back on her own.

When they were alone, Evelyn looked at Liam.

"She’s close," she said quietly. "But she’s still terrified."Liam’s eyes gleamed. "Good. Fear means it’s real. When she finally stands up, it will hit Harrison harder."
