Chapter 542: Meeting Royal Girl At College
"Yeah, I think I’ll be back by evening," I said as I headed toward Brittany’s room to put my clothes back on. The rain was still pouring heavily outside, and Aria’s driver was already waiting downstairs for me.
I needed to move quickly before I kept him waiting any longer, so I grabbed my clothes and started getting dressed as fast as I could.
Soon, I came out dressed and said goodbye to both mother and daughter. Tiffany still looked reluctant to let me leave, her eyes lingering on me as if she wanted to ask me to stay a little longer.
Brittany, on the other hand, watched me with a more serious expression, unusually quiet as she stood beside her mother and followed me with her gaze all the way to the door.
"Alex, I think you should come with me to Gloria’s house," Brittany said. She wanted to check on her friend, whom we suspected might be pregnant with my child. Her voice was low, but the seriousness of the situation was impossible to miss.
Gloria had been another one of the women I had filled, and the possibility that she was carrying my child needed to be confirmed.
"Yeah, I’ll come with you. Please don’t go yet," I said to Brittany. I really wanted to confirm if Gloria was pregnant with my child. The thought of another woman potentially carrying my seed made my pulse quicken, and I wasn’t about to let Brittany go alone.
Tiffany stood nearby, listening quietly.
I adjusted my clothes one last time, already thinking about how I would handle both the urgent trip to college and the visit to Gloria’s house afterward.
I left Tiffany’s apartment and took the elevator down to the ground floor. The soft chime of the elevator doors opening brought me into the lobby, where the sound of heavy rain echoed from outside.
The driver was waiting for me at the entrance with a sleek black Mercedes. Water beaded on the polished surface of the car as the man in a formal uniform stood ready. He opened the door quickly for me, and I sat on the luxurious leather seats. The interior was cool and quiet, a sharp contrast to the storm outside.
Being the boyfriend of a royal girl really had its benefits. The soft leather, the quiet engine, the professional driver, everything spoke of wealth and privilege that Aria’s family provided without question.
The driver started the car, and we headed toward the college. Rain continued to pour heavily outside, drumming steadily against the windows and roof of the Mercedes. I had always loved this kind of weather, the cool air, the dark sky, and the peaceful feeling that came with a heavy storm.
The streets were slick and reflective, glowing with the blurred colors of traffic lights and storefronts as we drove through the city. Water splashed beneath the tires while the windshield wipers moved back and forth in a steady rhythm.
I leaned back against the soft leather seat and watched the scenery pass by through the tinted windows, enjoying the dramatic view of the rain-soaked city until the familiar buildings of the college campus finally came into sight.
"We are here, sir," the driver said once we were outside the college gates.
"Thanks," I replied as I stepped out of the car. The moment I moved into the open, cold raindrops began striking my shoulders and the top of my head.
Before the rain could soak me, an umbrella suddenly appeared above me. Aria was waiting for me at the entrance of the college. Her driver must have messaged her that we were about to arrive.
She stood there in a shirt and jeans, the large umbrella held firmly over both of us as her eyes locked onto mine.
"You took long enough. Why weren’t you taking my calls?" Aria asked. She was a little angry at me. Her voice carried clear frustration as she kept the umbrella steady above us, shielding us both from the pouring rain.
Students hurried past in the background, but Aria’s attention stayed fixed on me, waiting for an explanation for why I had ignored her all morning.
I pulled her closer and gave her a hug. My arms wrapped around her waist, drawing her soft body against mine under the shared umbrella as the rain continued to pour around us.
"I’m sorry, babe. It started raining all of a sudden and one thing led to another," I said. But Aria was already melting into my touch. The tension in her shoulders eased as she leaned into me, her earlier frustration softening under the warmth of the hug.
"It’s okay. Come, Michael is here too," Aria said as we started walking inside the college. She kept the umbrella angled carefully over both of us, making sure the rain didn’t reach me as she guided me toward the main entrance.
Around us, students hurried across the campus through the heavy downpour, some running with bags over their heads while others squeezed together beneath umbrellas.
The sound of rain striking the pavement and the distant rumble of thunder filled the air as Aria stayed close beside me, leading the way through the storm.
"That guy can’t just take a day off? Doesn’t he see the weather?" I joked with a grin. The idea of Michael showing up despite the heavy storm felt completely typical of him.
Even with rain pouring from the sky and thunder rumbling overhead, he was exactly the kind of person who would still show up as if nothing unusual was happening.
"He’s smart enough not to take a day off the way you do," Aria said with a sigh, glancing at me from beneath the umbrella. Her tone carried a mix of mild scolding and something a little more serious underneath.
"What’s that supposed to mean?" I asked, looking at her in disbelief. There was no way in hell Aria would seriously call Michael smarter than me.
The comparison immediately made me narrow my eyes slightly as we continued walking side by side through the rain, waiting for her to explain herself.
"You’ll find out. Mrs. Claire will tell you everything," Aria said as we walked toward the main building under the umbrella. Her voice was calm but firm, and the way she said it made it clear that something important, and possibly problematic, was waiting for me inside.
