An hour later, on the second floor of the restaurant, Jack and I were facing each other.

"So, Shen used those sisters to kidnap you from the Jade Moon brothel, then he beat the shit out of you... and you were barely able to escape." I asked, wondering if it was really that easy to escape from the hands of a Golden Grimoire user. Kai and Drake were both at silver level, and their fight had left a deep impact on me, for it was hard to fathom what kind of power a Golden Grimoire user might hold, but Jack was able to escape. It was really impressive.

"Yup, I wasn’t expecting that a newly promoted person could hold such a terrifying power. Like, you are also at the Silver Rank like Kai and me, but there is a clear difference in our strength." Jack explained, but I didn’t like the way of his explanation. How many days had I been in this world for? I am already at the Silver Rank.

"He will be able to escape from the mirror world after sunset, and then he will hunt for us," Jack said, looking at the setting sun outside the window.

"Wait... why us? I don’t even know this guy."

I said, staring at his swollen face. I am not going to make any enemies, at least not a level beyond mine. Kai had already left the city, leaving this fatty alone. Maybe he already knew about this underlying problem that why he ran away with an excuse.

"Bro, come on, we are friends. It’s not like he won’t know that you came with us." Jack said it as a matter of fact, but I could see the gleeful smile on his face. He was definitely happy to have one more person getting chased with him.

"So, let’s run away from the city while we have time." I suggested, if we can’t fight. We run.

"We can’t. As soon as we step out of the city gate, we will be sacrificed to the Goddess of Disaster." He said, shaking his head.

"You know Kai had left the city a few hours ago? With the lady we spent some time with," I said, wanting to know if Kai had a way to escape safely.

"Gulp~" Hearing my words, he drank a glass of water before I saw his face getting covered in sweat. His heartbeat raced. Now, these were the expressions that a person in some serious trouble should have.

"What happened?" I asked, my interest piqued.

"Nothing, just my original plan would need some consideration. I was planning to send him into the mirror world to entertain Shen till sunrise. But now we will have to hold off Shen, till Kai breaks the sacrificial ritual outside." Jack said, believing that Kai would help them get out of this place.

Well, I didn’t know about their relationship, so who was I to judge? Maybe they were really good friends.

"But why did it have to do with sunrise? Does he have some kind of vampire summon?" I asked right away, wondering if we were going to deal with some vampires or if it would be something else.

"A kind of, but unlike a vampire, the sunlight doesn’t bother him much. But moonlight does increase his strength by 10 times." Jack said in almost a casual tone, as he stared at the setting sun.

"Okay, ten times is a lot, and you were beaten into Red and Blue under the daylight. You could barely escape under the daylight, but you planned that we would be able to hold him off till Kai clears the way for us." I asked to confirm his plan, which was just too absurd. If this was actually his plan without any trump card, then we were surely cooked.

"Come on, we are three legendary heroes who have awakened their grimoire spirit at the silver rank. Do you think a random villain, who had awakened his grimoire spirit at the Gold Rank and still couldn’t control it properly, is at the same level as us? Bro, we are the chosen heroes. Stop underestimating yourself." Jack suddenly grabbed my shoulder and started giving a quite motivational speech, making me doubt if I was really becoming a pussy. I am a hero. I am the holder of Milf’s Diary. Yet, I am thinking about running away from a random stepping stone.

"Yeah, we are heroes... what’s the plan? How are we going to hold him off?" I asked in a confident tone. I was ready to unleash the true power of a milf summoner. Fortunately, there were stats as the diary pages flipped in. At the back of its cover, I saw the list of stats, which I didn’t really know if they were good or bad.

"Well, it’s like this: Strength: 100, Speed: 300, Defence: 200, Stamina: 300," I told without hiding anything. I wanted to know if these stats were good or bad, but in my heart, I was already expecting a shocking reaction. All my stats were above 100. They should be considered good... really good.

"Hm, okay, it looks like we are going to have a hard time." Jack patted my shoulder, giving a one last glance at the sunset. He said, "Shen’s average stats would be around 500 to 600 inside the mirror world. This is gonna be a tough battle, and if he breaks free from the mirror world, he will be above 1000. Even Kai won’t be able to save us."
