Monster no Goshujin-sama

36. The Leader, the Able to Obey

36

A large group of monsters appear as they sweep out of the woods.

The numbers won't go down twenty, just as far as they can see. Berta shook her tail and leaned against the boy who was taking them and walking over loosely.

Never mind that, the boy was staring at me with a soft grin on the narrow face of the line.

"You're not surprised, are you, Senior? Did you know it was me?

"Oh. I expected that. - Kudo Lu. You're not the monster who attacked Fort Chile."

There he was, Kudo Lu, a 'bully' who was supposed to have been torn apart by the magic of a cross on that inner wall. Of course, the fact that he's here must have been blown away at that time by Doppel Genger's transformation.

"How did you know it was me? For your information, it would be nice to know."

"That's not a hard story. On that occasion, anyone could replace Doppel Genger, but tailoring the hillside to Monster Tamer is not something anyone can do."

My tone was bitter against Kudo, who was in a gentle state. Even though I expected it, if I actually saw it this way, I couldn't help remembering the bitter things.

"Sakami was mistaken for 'I have the power to call monsters'. In order to establish that mistake, it is necessary to 'use your abilities instead whenever Sakami tries to call a monster'. It would have made me think I needed a 'ritual' to use my powers, also to make it easier to understand when to use my abilities. He really needed to be near the hill."

"I see. I've been with the hillside ever since I was evacuated to the mountain hut. So you can't do anything but me."

If I may add one more thing to this, I also had a guess from my own experience.

Berta seems smart, but she's still a monster who just got herself. Seeking the flexibility to just keep cheating on the slopes is a little difficult. I really should have needed some human wit there.

"You were tailoring the hillside for your own safety."

"Yes, as seniors will know, our weaknesses in the ability of the Monster Tamer system lie in their vulnerability."

Kudo answered honestly.

"Conversely, if you decide to die and hide yourself, you have no more convenient ability to leap. It's not good if I find out I'm powerless on the hill by leaving..."

"That's no problem if the person dies, too, he said. That's why you took back the slopes, isn't it? It was a failure not to kill you right away. This is how you're going to be seen through because you have a bad greed"

Kudo's use of Berta to recapture the hillside is a simple story, mouth seal. Yet Kudo didn't kill Sakami right away. For that reason, I had a conversation with Sakami and got the certainty that Monster Tamer, who had the fort attacked, was not there.

Naturally, there's a good reason Kudo didn't kill Sakami right away, but I hit the measures there, too.

"I know you're trying to feed a hand-pawn monster a metastasizer. I guess you were going to lure us by using the hillside as bait to target the surviving metastasizers in the meantime... sorry to hear that. The Trinity are protected by the Allied Knights and already let them escape to the Tree Sea."

Earlier, we caught up on the hill and they said, "It was late," but that's because we got ready around there and then we moved on to tracking.

Now I'm wasting my legs just looking for the fort, and in case I chase them when I realize I'm not in the fort anymore, there's still silane over there.

If her combat ability was equivalent to that of Arakune, the strongest white deep in the Tree Sea, it should have been possible to respond unless there was anything like it. At least we can fight where Anton, who is supposed to be moving for the lives of the transferees, hung up the raid. Up to this point, as I had largely thought in advance, I could say that the situation was moving forward.

Although, for one thing... I didn't expect Kudo himself to come out here either.

Here I was hoping to reassure myself of the hillside pattern and if I could defeat Berta.

Of course, there's no better way to miss Kudo here than by coming out like this.

As we were turning Anton to the end of the transferees, Kudo was supposed to have a thin faction right now. And then, whether 'Another Plant' works or not......

"It's great, seniors"

And a dry sound rang in the woods, and blocked my thought.

Kudo, with his clapped hands down, opened his mouth drawing a loose curve.

"I can't believe you didn't just put down that cross, you even found out who I am"

"... I'm sorry that you're evaluating me, but I'm not the only one who defeated the Ten Characters. I realized that Sakami wasn't a monster Tamer because there were words from Kanahiko."

"You won't be humbled. It's the power of seniors, including all of them."

My chisel and discomfort irritated my brain as I exchanged words with Kudo.

Something seemed odd.

Kudo is settling down when he says he's broken his plan. Rather, the expression was even delightful.

"The upside of things, Anton told me. It was a great victory."

"You..."

Kudo says in a tone he played somewhere. I looked seriously at his face.

Incredibly, Kudo seemed to mean the word. A praise without a multiplier was in the eye.

"The phrase" This is a world where wishes come true, "he said to the elf girl, belongs to the first brave man, right? Seniors made me try to prove the word. The seniors' thoughts crushed the violence of the Cross. This world is never just about 'the strong behave as they please'. You and her, they're really great. I think so from the bottom of my heart."

It was an interaction that somewhat resembled a conversation with Silan that had regained his mind and was making him so different that he felt nauseous.

Indeed, I thought that denying him Kudo's dialogue, which was full of giving up, would be good for him when he died.

But what is this conversation?

My thoughts are definitely conveyed. That was why it was supposed to be an earlier dialogue and a word of praise. Yet we were separated by despair.

"... why not, Kudo"

There was a groaning voice.

"Why did you imitate the idea of a cross?" You knew what it was like to be abused by irrational violence. And yet, how... "

"The feeling of an abusive human being, is it? Of course, I know."

Kudo nodded with a calm trick. I don't think it belongs to a man who's being hunted down, his quiet eyes reflect on me.

"'Cause I'm just like my senior year and I'm going through that colony collapse."

"... what?

"Me too, I'm dying. In that burning colony."

I was bewildered by a confession that was even frank.

I've heard it before, and it's not the same story.

"... but you must have been protected by Silan along with the hillside in one of several mountain huts in the tree sea. Didn't you evacuate to the mountain hut, protected by an expedition that was left in the colony?

"Everyone else in the mountain hut apparently did. But I wasn't. After that, I rolled into the mountain hut where the hillside was. It was about the hillside that I knew about this, because he was a hater. Well, where I wasn't, I wouldn't have been able to tell anyone how it went around there."

Kudo laughed dullly.

"As seniors know, Sakami is a terrible guy. I've known him since before he came to this world, and the day the colony collapsed, he sacrificed me to get out of the crisis. The rest of me, yeah, that's already tough on me. Still, I could survive... well, all I can say is luck. After that, I wandered the woods for a few days. I felt like I was twitching, sore, anxious, lonely, and my heart was about to break. It sounds like a miracle to be able to live here."

……

I was stunned, listening to what was told with laughter.

- Someone I knew betrayed me, nearly killed me, and still survived just luck.

- No one could believe it and wandered alone in the woods.

- I was frightened not to know when I would encounter a vicious monster and be killed. Even where they didn't kill me, I feared they'd starve and thirsty to death as they were.

Who the hell was that about?

Kudo chuckled when he saw about me losing the word.

"Hey, don't seniors have the same experience?

"Become"

I beheld the words of Kudo as if I had read my heart.

Only Lily and her family know what happened to me when I fell through the colony. There's no reason for Kudo to know that.

"How do you know that...?

Naturally, hearing the sounds of the hardened voice did not change Kudo's smile.

"I understand. We're alike."

"Don't be ridiculous."

I see. I have certainly thought before that Kudo and I may be alike.

But that only meant 'myself and him are people on the side ravaged by violence'. That's all, there's no way you can predict that you're going through a terribly similar experience so far. In order to do so, we should have needed some basis.

"Kudo. What do you know?

"Things seniors don't know. Especially since I think you know more about this power we've been given."

Kudo answers in a sure tone.

Knowledge of the cheat abilities of the transferee. Is that the 'basis' for Kudo's decision that I have the same experience as myself?

So, hey, what Kudo said earlier about 'similarity' was more about the characteristics of his ability to 'lead a monster'?... but what does it have to do with the fact that we have similar intrinsic abilities and the terrible similarities in our experience since we came to this other world?

This is a coincidence. Yes, it should only be a coincidence.

So it has nothing to do with anything.

... really?

Really, is it?

to similar abilities, two people with similar experiences. Could it be such a coincidence?

If there is inevitability there, Kudo knows what it is. Speaking of which, the crossword appeared to know something I didn't know about cheat ability. That means a little...

I thought of something, and I broke my mouth.

"Kudo was in touch with the expedition, too?

"Huh? How do seniors know that?

For the first time here, Kudo made the grin shallow. I'm gonna open my eyes a little, and I'm gonna stare at this one. On the contrary, my eyes narrowed.

"If you think about how the hillside was planning a raid with the Cross, rather than... naturally. Although there was no certainty"

"Oh. Does that mean you got a sickle?"

Seeing his own failure, Kudo smiled bitterly at his mouth.

After all, Kudo was in touch with the 'collaborators' who were within the expedition, just like the Crossword and Sakami. I guess the way you know all sorts of things I don't know is the information from you.

The strange thing is, if Kudo was connected to 'collaborators', he didn't let the crosses know that the hillside was just a hiding place... there seemed to be a lot to hear from Kudo, including around there.

"Wash up what you know and have them tell you everything."

This is how I'm hunting him down, now was my chance.

To my words, Garbera sounds spider legs as if intimidating. Lily boosts her magic, Asalina makes a sound, and the opposing Berta starts roaring again. Each of the other monsters stands ready for battle.

"I don't mind if I talk to you."

In that case, Kudo was still the only one who kept a clear grin on the fine surface.

"In some cases, I'm going to tell the seniors everything, and I'm here."

"... what?

I frowned at Kudo's words shrugging my shoulders. Whatever I said I'd be honest with you, I was hooked on that rhetoric.

"The way you put it, it's like you were from the beginning..."

"Yes."

Kudo smiled and affirmed my suspicions.

"From the beginning, I was going to discuss this with my senior."

Before I could understand the meaning of the word - I could see, the woods began to wander.

"What...?

The bark is bounced, the bushes are crushed, and the ground is decided through.

Blades and blades engage, bounced with shields, or snapped.

It was a hustle and bustle of battle.

"Gu, gi......"

It was a gray-haired masked woman dressed in white who jumped out of the dim darkness of the woods with bitter ringing. And countless shadow swords fly after her.

"Rose!?

Tortoise, the masked woman who brought out a shadow sword from her shoulder that could not be prevented by a shield, retreated to me.

"... I'm sorry, sir. I screwed up."

Dropping a shadow sword pulled out of his shoulder, Rose apologized with a sinister voice.

Having her here, of course, is no coincidence.

Actually, before I got here, I was rendezvous with Rose.

It was also late to discover the slopes because he joined Rose and left Mr. Kato to the Allied Knights before he began tracking them down.

The rendezvous Rose had us secretly circling the woods to cut off the enemy's exit while we were in conversation.

But that's how the pre-planted operation failed by standing in the way of a powerful monster in one piece.

"Why is Anton here...?

The familiar figure that emerged from the darkness of the forest must have been Doppel Queen.

With a multitude of Doppel Genger, Anton brings himself to the Lord.

The fact that there are monsters here who are supposed to be in Fort Chile to eat the other transferees now... means that some of my predictions were out of order.

"Until the point where the hillside was bait, it fits just as the seniors thought. But that wasn't to target the other transferees while they were attracting seniors."

Kudo, who joined Anton, spoke.

"I kept Sakagami alive to get seniors here to talk to me like this."

"Talk to me?... for that matter?

I doubted my ears when Kudo said something that I didn't think would happen.

I don't know what that is, but if you ask me, it can fall on my heart.

Kudo hasn't tried to break his friendly attitude towards me.

I was wondering if you could afford it, but if this wasn't because you weren't going to be hostile to me...

"... hiccup, is that why you came all the way out here?

"I'm glad you understand."

"No. I don't know. What do you want from me?

Kudo's grin deepened more and more as he inquired, unable to hide his confusion.

That was an unintended, smile as if to show a friend.

"Hey, senior. Why don't you join hands with me?

What Kudo said was, at least, an impossible suggestion for me.

"Let's put our hands together, so...?

"Yeah. You saw Senior Mashima, too. Crosses and slopes."

Kudo eloquently connected the words.

"Oh yeah. The horror of the deal is that there are so many others out there. It's the same as a cockroach. And...... anxiety and fear are contagious. Perhaps the sense of crisis that your neighbor might kill you was Paranoia's delusion at the beginning of the transfer. But, no, that danger has become a reality. Those who laughed at paranoia yesterday can't help but doubt their surroundings today. If this happens, we won't be able to take down Domino anymore. Seniors should join hands, not them who don't even know when to fall"

"So you think I should join hands with you?

I exhaled slowly.

To escape the shock of the words heard, it was a necessary operation.

"I know what you're trying to say... but that reasoning would mean that I can't believe you and you can't believe me either"

"Seniors are the exception."

"An exception? That's a handy word. You didn't expect me to believe that word?

"Of course, let's make an effort for you to believe"

Kudo nods. And he dropped a further bomb on me without shock cooling.

"For example, as a sign of trust, how would you like to talk about my own abilities?

"... what?

"As you know, my power is to 'manipulate monsters'. At the moment, the ceiling is seven hundred and thirty-five. Remote operation is not possible, but instructions can be set in advance. The problem is, you can't manipulate very powerful monsters. Looks like you're not like your senior around here."

That was supposed to be life-line information, especially for humans like Kudo.

It would be normal to want to keep it as secret as possible. Yet Kudo's mouth was light, as if he were dealing with even a trusted companion.

"In my case, I need to grow my own in order to get a powerful monster. That's how Anton and Berta grew up. How do you... yeah, do you know when I say 'forced poison'? Quickly, we manipulated them to kill each other. This allows us to sort things a little stronger, and it's one stone and two birds to their enhancement. We also discover interesting phenomena in the process. Because apparently, it's better to kill them and eat their meat than just kill them, so they can be strong."

I make it like a public tale and expose my secrets lightly, including my weaknesses. Instead of hesitating, I just think something's wrong, somewhere around even bragging about it.

Are you trying to confuse me by saying the right thing?

But for that matter, it seems like the story goes through.

Besides, I was listening to what I was saying, and there were some verses that came to mind.

I glanced at Asalina, who had brought a sickle.

You know she's a mutant. She's sucking on my magic. But that only shows the deformation of the habits inherent in the artillery crawl.

The cannon crawl shoots its prey with a species that is a bullet and sprouts from it. Just as Asalina is doing to me. That would mean they're replenishing their magic from the corpse. Never thought about it before, but 'more magic gained by preying on enemies' wasn't as surprising as they said.

Consistent with the fact that I knew it independently suggests that Kudo's words are enough to be trustworthy. In addition, if Anton was forced to eat the bodies of the crosses, the aim would be to strengthen the distribution.

Each one, the pieces of the puzzle fill up. But that's why the big void was noticeable.

"Why are you so..."

Kudo's eyes reflect my confusion. That was an innocent and clear glance.

"That's because you look like me."

"... or that again"

I sighed.

"The similarities between our powers and our circumstances are what they are."

Kudo laughed joyfully at me shaking his head.

It was just a way to say that it was fun and I couldn't help but exchange words like this with me.

"No. It's not just forces and circumstances that resemble each other. More fundamentally, we're alike."

"In the fundamental...?

"Yeah. That's right. So I want you."

Kudo, as always, has a favorable grin.

In my eyes, it looked like it belonged to another creature.

"It's impossible not to know what I'm talking about. So let's talk about one more thing. We're talking about this power we have. What the hell is this? I'm sure seniors are wondering, too?

What the hell is this power given to us?

Indeed, it was a question that had sprouted on me as well, through the battle against the Cross.

It is no exaggeration to say that this incident was caused by a thorough overhaul, a rampage of this force. But we know nothing more about this power than 'the power given to the transferee'. Even though I knew I was being put on Kudo's pace, I couldn't help but listen.

"Has Senior Mashima ever thought about how his powers are such a prick? In other words, how did we get similar abilities?"

Kudo showed the monsters around him with his eyes, followed by a gaze at my family.

"... I hate to call this power 'cheat ability'. I don't know how to say 'grace' in this world either. 'Cause then we're taking the essence of this power off the table. I got it like I came down and sprung up, a force I can't think of? That's just the talk of the vast majority of elephants."

Kudo, who ran out of words, gazed at me.

"How about seniors, for example? It won't be. There must be a hanging thought in that power."

"... how do you know that?"

I could not deny the words I had been told with certainty, so I had no choice but to return my doubts.

"I understand. Because that's the essence of our power."

Kudo put his hand on his chest.

"This power, seniors. It's based on our wishes."

"Wish...?

Inquire abruptly.

Because they said something too unexpected...... not. The opposite was true.

"I don't know how it works, but this world, where magic is a substitute, is capable of allowing thoughts to affect reality. When we have more than a certain strong thought, a desire from the bottom of our soul, we metastasizers express our inherent abilities… don't we remember our predecessors, too?

……

When I was in the colony, I didn't realize my ability to lead a monster. I never met a monster while I was living in a colony, so I assumed that that was the first time I realized that power when I met Lily.

But actually, even if it wasn't "I didn't realize it until then," that day, at that time, "I got this ability," otherwise, no contradiction arises.

Nevertheless, it is not immediately convincing either.

"No. But then what about Warrior? They all have the same power."

"That's just a 'loss of success'. A man who has no certainty of desire, but has no foundation in himself."

Kudo responded immediately to my objection.

"Unfounded certainty must also be a strong unconscious thought." I'm here in a world like this, so I guess I was special, "" I hope so, "" No, I am, "and" I must be. "That's the root of their superhuman power, and of their unexpected, vain power."

Reminds me of the ten letters and Watanabe I was behaving as a brave man.... Denial was unlikely to be possible.

If so, nearly 30% became Warrior at the beginning of the transfer because we are in high school......? If you are a high school student, you also have the opportunity to know what reality is. Not all of them left such childish certainty. A little, if it was middle school that transferred, maybe this percentage had increased a little more.

"But all the brave men of the past had power, didn't they? Whether it's Warrior or Inherent, I don't think it's easy for everyone to gain their own power."

"That's different, seniors. We transferees are treated as brave men, not because we have power. We are treated as brave men first.... human beings are more or less, because they think they're special about themselves, and they want to. If you were treated as so special in this world, it would be nature that bothered you, wouldn't it?

"... in order, is that a whisper? It's not" Be a brave man because you have power, "it's" By being treated as a brave man first, you gain strength for the first time "...?

"In fact, I think it's a well done system."

Kudo, who laughed sarcastically, told him to shrug.

"'This is a world where wishes come true.'"

"... ah"

That's what the first brave men say and are told.

Who knows that's what it means to stay that way?

"And this system makes no sense when it is known beforehand to the brave individual. That's why I don't even know people in this world. If you knew, that would be about the church person in the example you listen to. Perhaps the interpretation of the words of the first brave men was dared to be obscured by the humans of the Church."

"... Speaking of which, the Ten Characters said their cheat abilities were 'meant to go back to the original world'. Is that why you're around?

"I guess. He wanted to go back to the world he came from."

"Then could he really, someday go home? To our world."

"Come on? What do you think? I don't know. I'm not interested."

Hit him and said in an unusual and terrible voice, Kudo shrugged his shoulder.

"I'm not involved around there, so I don't know the details. However, I think there is a good chance that the cross was blown into something."

"To the people who were giving you information, huh?

"Yeah. Because that's someone who knew I existed and kept quiet. I wouldn't be surprised if a cross was instigated."

Whilst instigating the cross to rampage and keeping a large number of Fort humans dead, keep the presence of Kudo silent... such acts were felt with a high degree of malice.

This case was made by the hands of the Cross and Kudo, but after a moment, that 'something' may be the hang-up.

"Who the hell is that..."

We need a good number of samples to realize that our cheat abilities reflect our wishes. In other words, you must know well that you will be one of the cheerleaders of the expedition who has unique abilities.

However, there are few inherent abilities. Out of 300 cheats, about ten have Warrior Class physical abilities plus unique abilities like "Weiwaten" Yuna Iino. Even including the type like me that didn't lead to physical abilities, at best 10%...... isn't it about thirty?

Most of them are executive classes that accompanied the expedition.

When it comes to interacting with many of them, it definitely means the upper echelons of the expedition. This can only be called a nightmare anymore. Because the heads of organizations with the greatest violence in this world have already been invaded by the poison of malice.

"Are you interested? If you can help me, of course, I'll tell you everything I know about the guy who connected us."

"... isn't that your collaborator?

"Seniors are the only people I want to be with."

So Kudo reached out to me.

"Isn't it time you understood? With similar circumstances and similar powers, we share the greatest turning point of our lives. That's why I want you to take my hand."

"Take your hand, so what are you going to do? Are you going to sell a fight to the expedition now?"

Perhaps we are very similar.

If Kudo has woken up to the ability to follow monsters because he has experienced a hell of a lot of unbelieving humans, then we can say we are almost alike. But......

"What exactly did you wish for in that power?

To my enquiry, Kudo flashed his mouth deeply.

"Can Seniors Remember? When we sunk into despair, we elevated our desires to power."

"... of course"

There's no way you can forget all that experience of despair and joy.

"Then try to remember. Our memories of the beginning."

Kudo encourages the reproduction of the past. - When I realized, it wasn't in the woods, it was the beginning of my story, it was turning into that cave.

I am blurted out and stand there alone.

The only difference was that Kudo was in front of him. In his eyes must be a sight of his own despair. A corny lip spun despair.

"My arm hurts. My leg hurts. My whole body hurts. But my heart hurts more than my flesh."

Ouch. Painful. Despair kills the mind before the flesh, twitching.

"My life is over here."

Death makes a single noise and approaches.

"I don't want to die here"

I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't want to die.

"That's when I thought,"

Yes, I thought so.

That's the beginning of my story. So I won't forget how long it's been. There's only one thing I wished for.

- Somebody help me.

I wanted someone to be beside me, though I was broken both physically and mentally, but no one could believe me. I am here now because Lily responded to that voice I wished from the bottom of my heart.

And I'm sure Kudo is the same.

"How can a world that meets my eyes like this be doomed? That's what I wanted."

- That's why he became the raider of Fort Chile.

"I can follow monsters. I'm the Demon King, if you say so. Then I was convinced that people hurt me and I couldn't help but die. So it's only natural that I kill people, and the world will be destroyed."

While we were talking, it was something I somehow knew.

There's something wrong with a boy named Kudo Lu. He seems calm and has a head helix. Something that is needed as a human being is broken.

There was nothing he could do, he was affirming such a broken self.

For example, I am proud to say that I am the Master of Monsters, who leads the Lillies. I was strongly made aware of the night I spent with Lily in this fort, but that complacency is the support and stopover for me to live in this world where everything is different.

I can breathe here because I don't even think it's okay to throw this life at them for the sake of the important ones.

And I'm sure it's the same.

Kudo Lu manages to keep himself by taking pride in his own way, which has broken without any help anymore.

I guess he can stand here because he hates the world itself that drove him that far, and I don't think he even needs his life if he's going to destroy it.

I know a man named Kudo Lu. I get it. Even though they are lunatics, they understand the logic.... That was nothing more than a sign that this would have happened if I, myself, had some kind of gear gone crazy.

Certainly Kudo is right, we are alike.

We share what should be said about that starting point, the fundamental part of our existence. So we can understand each other better than anyone else. Kudo's obsession with me wasn't something I didn't know.

"Fortunately, it goes very well with me and my senior. With this world full of monsters, we must be able to destroy even the world itself."

If the story Kudo himself told is true, his ability is to 'follow Rare Monster or less and manipulate as he wishes'. "Leading More Than Rare Monsters" would certainly go well with me. We can follow each other's abilities holes.

It may take some time, but if we accumulate power in this sea of trees, it may also be possible for the other transferees to acquire unrivaled power.

"Sure, if we put our hands together, we could destroy the world."

"Yes! I'm sure!

"... but you couldn't think of this?

I threw an inquiry at Kudo, who was in the throes.

"We could save the world."

This world has always been threatened by the threat of spreading tree seas and monsters attacking people. I have relied on the activity of the "Brave Men", who appear once a hundred years, to live off.

That's also an exception to the story if you have a 'Demon King' who can follow all the monsters.

Maybe those hopes will wake him up. Well, I was hoping for a moment...

"Save the world? Why do we have to do that?

- I was not discouraged to respond as expected.

"I am the Demon King. Humans are not saving. Destroy it."

There was no stray in Kudo's words surrounded by monsters.

It was something I knew. It was something I had cut off.

From now on, Kudo can only live as the king of monsters who strip the world of their teeth, just as I will always be the Lord of Lily and the rest of them.

Still, the foolishness on the hill that created such a monster was now just cursed.

"If we had two demon kings, there would be no enemy in the world. Let's go together, seniors."

Again, Kudo reaches out.

Seeing that unchanging clear smile, I shook my neck beside it.

"I'm not the Demon King. So I can't go with you."

Hearing my response did not change Kudo's favorable grin.

"Then what's the senior? Hey, are you going to live as a brave man in this world?

"No. I don't mean to either."

I was going to say about my share.

I cannot be a hero. But that's why I can't even be a monster like Kudo. Then when it comes to what it is, it will be decided.

"I am neither a 'brave man' nor another king. This is your husband, who leads Lily and the others. That's all right. That's all I need."

"... Really?"

Kudo sighed. At the mouth, there was a loud grin.

He was just like me, expecting me to snort here, expecting not to.

"Too bad."

So Kudo spanned Berta's back.

And turn your back on us.

"But I won't give up."

"Oh, Gabella!

When I give instructions, I perceive my intentions, and Gabella penetrates.

The shadow sword and many monsters blocked the way.

We are better at fighting than the Kudo faction, which is heavily depleted. But Anton and Berta are all here on this occasion. They used dozens of dead soldiers. And if they get away with it, it's hard to catch anything at all.

Kudo on Berta's back disappears into the back of the woods.

"Come to me sooner or later if you lose patience with the cruelty of the world! You're always welcome - …"

The other king left before us, without breaking his friendly attitude until the end.

"... escaped, or"

At the time Anton came out on this occasion with a miscalculation, he knew he couldn't catch Kudo. Still, regret remained for the fact that he had escaped.

Only the carcasses of abandoned monsters were left in front of us. Should I say it's neat around I'm even taking the 'rest' of the body on the hill?

Gabella, who had repaid the debt she had been hurt to stop, stepped on the estate with eight legs, and Rose offered a wet axe to the monster's blood, looking like she was thinking of something behind the mask.

Asalina returned to the back of her hand and Lily, leaning over, called me worried.

"Your husband..."

I sighed one and smiled at her.

"Shall we go back? It's all finally over. We need to let Silan and the others know."

Of course, I knew a hundred things that this was not the end, etc.

Rather, this is the beginning of the battle against Kudo. Even if I can't cross spears directly, I will continue to fight Kudo...

……

And when I had urged my companions to walk out, I looked back behind the woods, where Kudo had disappeared.

... One day I will see another Lord, who leads the monster, again.

Will I succumb to the cruelty of the world take his hand and become the Demon King, or will I be able to hold him... by then, the answer must have come out.

You felt the emotion that came to my chest, Lily hugging me in the arm. Feeling its pluckiness, I walked out toward the fort again.
