Monster no Goshujin-sama

01. The basement of Teito

One.

On this continent, the great power known as the Elex Empire occupies a large part of the land where people can live.

But if they are the absolute rulers of this continent, they are not.

Because there is a presence that goes hand in hand with more powerful power and force.

That's the Cathedral Church.

It is an organization to glorify the existence of the brave, the religious home of the people of this world.

Its main mountain is a huge temple that occupies the tip of the imperial capital, the Imperial Capital.

The magnitude of influence would be obvious if we saw its standing, which is more splendid than the castle where the imperial family lives.

Many people were still seen today in the temples visited by believers, not only from the imperial capital, but sometimes also from the provinces.

They look around at the items of the brave itch, and give thought to the legend they preach, and pray for the peace of us and the people around us.

Regardless, some compartments they never set foot in.

Important parcels such as those involved in festivals, spaces for the lives of the inhabited priests, and important defensive facilities.

It is the knights belonging to the Knights of the Diocese who are blinding themselves so that the faithful will never set foot in such compartments.

But there is also a compartment where not even many of those diocesan knights are informed.

Here, one of them.

It was also a hidden place known only to a very few in the church.

Everything from the floor to the ceiling is a smoothly polished stone room.

The air was cold, and, again, heavy and elaborate, so much so that the more you breathed, the more weight you felt on your chest.

The back of the room is provided with an altar.

Those who could handle magic would have immediately realized that it was a magic tool.

There were at best signs of intense magic.

The altar is embedded with demonic stones and many treasures.

Two men stood before the altar.

As if the air on this occasion had crystallized, it was heavily atmospheric men.

One is a man who wrapped his fortified body nearly two meters in the armor of a fine knight.

Harrison-Addington.

He was the captain of the Knights of the Diocese and the man who also served as captain of the first unit.

The other was an old man with total gray hair.

In contrast to Harrison, its body is thin.

Though the tightly stretched tall and physically homogeneous for old age, it was the result of sufficient intake and not working out to fight.

But that's why that didn't happen when it came to looking weaker than Harrison next door.

There was an unshakeable way there, like a rock that had been hit by windstorms for a long time.

With an atmosphere unlikely to be human, this old man's name is Gert Kügeler.

He was a high priest running the Cathedral Church.

His dry lips slowly opened.

"... the world is shaking"

It was a squeaky voice.

But strength has not been lost.

There was a sound there that could be spoken only by those who determined what they were to exchange and marched forward.

"A man cannot remain raw, even when he is floating in the universe. Only with the earth can the people live. Supporting this world is the presence of no other brave man. Therefore, the presence of the brave is what must be prioritized no matter what."

A harsh gaze was directed at Harrison next door.

"The presence of so many brave men in this land is unprecedented in its long history. Something unforeseen could happen. No. Already, the signs are out. Preventing it is our mission."

"I understand, Master Cugeler"

Severely, Harrison nodded.

"Our presence is just for the peace of the people and the stability of the world. And for that, I don't hate to give this life."

This one was also a sincere attitude and had a pure sound reminiscent of martyrs.

Gert pulled his jaw shallow.

"Fine. Then go"

"Ha."

Harrison leaves the room.

Only the old man left behind knew where to go for that aim.
