Monster no Goshujin-sama

18. Contact with Expedition

eighteen

Contact with the expedition meant only greeting, leaving the people of Akel out.

Except, of course, the surviving dragons in the dragon abyss.

They are here as escorts, and in the first place, because they have dared to elect more men at Mr. Kato's suggestion, and this had the intention of not making a bad impression in the first meeting with the Expedition side.

I was in the room early, exchanging words with everyone about the expedition.

To be honest, there was something complicated about my feelings for the expedition.

With their departure as the First Expeditionary Corps, the remaining transferees lost control.

They are definitely the ones who made the cut of the colony collapse.

But we also know that they weren't malicious.

The principles of conduct of the members of the expedition are essentially due to good intentions.

Even now, those directions remain the same.

Not experiencing a colony collapse, they are saving people from the threat of monsters, according to a very neat morality, without perverting their values in the world they were in.

Whatever it is, if you get cornered, it is undeniable if you think back to the fake brave noises that took place in the small aristocracy of the southern part of the empire and the raid on Fort Chile by the Cross - but you don't need to worry about it first, either, than you are acting in a group called the Expedition.

Even when you travel from the colony, yes.

Their actions were due to goodwill and a sense of justice.

There was no guarantee that the expedition would be safe, just because it was equipped with a powerful combat capability.

For example, there could be a danger that the power of the expedition would not work.

Still, they challenged the Tree Sea to come into contact with the humans of this world.

There was certainly a desire to help the powerless students who waited in the colony.

Regardless of the fact that many of the members who participated in the expedition were optimistic and were not even aware of the danger, there is no doubt only that the act was due to good intentions.

In addition, there was a certain reason for that behavior.

In fact, if I had stayed put, there would have been no future for the colony.

I'm just getting thinner.

It was not realistic at all that dangerous monsters would tread through the woods in a large group of seven hundred people with their footsteps.

So it was a reasonable decision to defend the colony by the remaining members, including two executives, while an elite hundred will face untouched land from about three hundred expedition members who do not know what is there.

Regardless, there would be an opinion that the outlook was sweeter than the colony actually collapsed.

But what should I have done if it was?

Blaming them is no more fair than not having that answer.

... and it is true that I think, but at the same time, such judgments were only due to reason.

On the collapse of the colony, one of those miserable eyed humans you don't even want to recall has something to hook you up with emotionally, and the vigilance precedes you for that, as I told and made Silan hear some time ago.

With regard to Ms. Shimazu's proposed rendezvous with the expedition on her initiative, it is necessary to leave those sentiments aside and make a precise decision.

I thought today's contact with Kojiro Nakatsuki would be a good opportunity to identify the area... so I ate less.

Are you Takahiro Mashima?

As I waited for the designated room to go ahead, an expedition arrived to finish my errand.

The number is four men and women combined.

A tall young man who came into the room at the head turned his uncontrolled grin to this one.

He was a very attractive looking young man, like he only watched on TV.

"I am Kojiro Nakatsuki, leader of the expedition. It's good to see you."

Apparently it's not even a social decree. I say it in an exciting tone and ask for a handshake.

I stood up and responded to it.

"I'm Takahiro Mashima. Thank you for everything you've done on the matter with Uncle Borderline."

"I don't want to thank you. It's what I like to do."

He laughs and gets slapped on the shoulder.

I heard it from Iino, but it seemed like a casual personality.

He is the man who leads the greatest class of force in this world, and there is no point in being great, even though he would have always been treated as a hero and not put down there.

Now, there was a unique presence that no one could handle lightly.

It's not just about those superficial things, like having a noticeable nose, or having a tall, even body - something that sprinkles from the inside highlights the presence of young people.

Maybe, but this has nothing to do with being given immense power by the transfer, it would be a youth-born temperament.

Of course, among the transferees, he has top-notch combat skills, combined with leadership that brought us all together in the early years of the transition, and decisive judgment.

I see, this is the leader of the expedition.

I was also convinced that he was leading the cheat-held people in line.

However, if he was such a person, I was confused by the attitude he was turning to us.

I guess I was feeling the same thing, Lily sitting next to me was the one who softly pounded my ear.

"Kind of, very friendly... or sounds like you're happy?

Yes, it is.

More than just a social decree, the attitude directed this way by the young man as leader of the expedition was full of pure favor.

And that was the same for the lilies, their families.

"You're the family of Mashima, aren't you? I heard it from Iino."

When he got to his seat, Mr. Nakatsuka spoke with an uncontrolled smile as he opened his eyes to each of the lilies.

"It would have been tough before. Monsters in this world can be seen in the eyes of prejudice."

Words spoken had labor and sincere empathy.

That's why I'm confused.

When Iino returned to the expedition before, I heard about how Mr. Nakatsuki seemed interested in us.

But I didn't even know as much as that interest.

It's a strange story, but right now he was like a favorite artist or even a sportsman before him.

It felt kind of absurd that he would take such an attitude when he was supposed to have been treated as a hero in this world.

But those sensations seem to be the only ones on this side.

Slightly more forward, Nakatsuki-san continued.

"I've always wanted to see you. I'd love to talk to you today about my previous journey…"

"Hey, leader? Please calm down. Mashima's surprised, isn't she?

And so a calm voice interrupted.

"I know it's nice to meet you, Mashima, but keep it down a little bit"

The Lord of the Voice was a woman with a pitiful impression.

"But, Moeko..."

"You're the leader of the expedition, aren't you? We need calm."

A woman turned to Nakatsuki, who was about to say something.

It's a dusty, unscrupulous look.

But it doesn't mean there's any separation here, either.

"Nice to meet you. I say Keiko Kuriyama"

I've been giving you the obvious greeting.

It seemed that the lack of affection was simply about that kind of personality.

"Oh. If you... I'm listening"

I also gave it back from here.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Kuriyama. He's definitely an assistant leader on the expedition."

"It's not that big of a deal, though"

That said, it clearly seemed like a capable atmosphere.

In fact, I hear that roughly the compromise with the outside of the expedition is undertaken by the leader, Mr. Nakatsuki, and her.

It feels hard to stick around, but Nakatsuki-san is relieving the area, and good things have probably moved the expedition so far.

But Mr. Kuriyama was only modest.

"I'm just a clerk. I don't have two names, do I? But everyone but me here has two names. There are a few members who haven't come yet, but hey, I think they're coming."

The expedition currently has two names: seven.

- "Sword of Light" Kojiro Nakatsuki.

- "Multiple Presence" Yasuke Takita.

- "Fairy Ring" Shimazu Knitting.

- "All-purpose vessel," Okazaki thought.

- "Weiwaten" Yona Iino.

- "Perseverance" Tetsuo Ishida.

- "Rigid-arm white snow" your hand washing sunflower.

In addition to them, there are currently four names with unknown locations.

- "Dark Beast" Boom Miya.

- "Absolute amputation" Koji Hibiya.

- "Disease Rage" Teak Garden Rukie.

- "Dragon Man" Jingu Shi Chiya.

Mr. Kuriyama has more cheats than being part of the expedition, but he doesn't have two names.

He seems to be somewhat of a close type to me and has the unique ability to generate weapons with shadow magic, but I hear that his combat abilities are not high.

The overwhelming ability to fight that shapes the end of the world is the condition of two names.

Of those two names, there were five on this occasion: Nakashima, Toda, Shimazu, Iino and Ishida.

It was a little surprising that your handwasher wasn't here, but in the first place, this is something she doesn't need because the purpose is to greet the members of the expedition.

I'm more concerned about not having Okazaki, who was supposed to come, but this one asks me something about my personality that seems difficult.

Maybe this happens all the time.

He also moved on to greeting the two remaining first-person people, looking like he didn't really care about the expedition faces either.

"I'm Shiita. Nice to meet you."

I'm Tetsuo Ishida.

Mr. Tsuta raises his hand to Tsuruo, and Ishida lowers his head, saying in a more Park Tsuruo tone.

Although not as favorable as Mr. Nakatsuki, they don't seem to have any particular feelings for me or my relatives either.

Or maybe around Shimazu told me.

"But I'm sorry."

At the end of the greeting, Mr. Tsuta spoke to me.

"The leader, you're surprised he's haunted. Forgive me."

I laugh happily in the back of my throat as I creep.

"I've always wanted to see you."

"Is that so"

Earlier, Kuriyama said that too.

When I turned my eyes, Nakatsuki-san returned a smile she liked.

"Let's see. I'm like a fan of Mashima."

"Fa, are you a fan...?

"Ha. What are you surprised about? That's all you've done."

Shake your shoulders and laugh.

I know the word fan is a joke in itself, but the favorable emotions directed at this one were genuine.

"As I was saying, this world should have been hard to live for Mashima, who depends on the monster. In that adversity, I guess I've been looking for someone I can trust, making a place, paying for the firepowder that comes down, and continuing my journey. And now he's Akel's hero. It's a big deal."

"... it's going to be. Because I was just protecting what was important to me. As a result, that's just what happened. I think a true hero means something like an expedition, Mr. Nakatsuki."

It wasn't nothing, it was a sincere word.

"I hear the expedition was exorcising monsters everywhere. I went out of my way to help someone I didn't even know I was looking for help. The number of people I've helped should not be my ratio."

"I will not deny that activity"

Mr. Nakatsuki nodded.

"But I have not always overshadowed adversity. Unlike you. Adversity. Distress. Hard and painful. The will to just get over it when you are blocked from your hands going to difficulties. I appreciate that area."

Enjoy the conversation. Say it with a smile and try to spread your hands.

"It's a simple story. I love you, Mashima."

……

I didn't feel a lie in that word.

The two names of the expedition are smiling bitterly all over again.

Nevertheless, the emotions being directed at their leaders were favourable.

"It's hot and bitter, leader."

Mr. Hada-san is tearing up, and everyone laughs.

I guess this is their usual interaction.

"I'm sorry, it's hot and bitter."

Nakatsuki-san smiled bitterly, shrugging her shoulders.

Again, that eye can be pointed this way.

"Anyway, that's why I'm on your side, Mashima. So I hope we can continue to work together, not just about Uncle Borderline."

"That's...... thank you. I'm glad you said that."

He also told me what I thought I had to say from here.

It feels better than I expected.

This would have allowed me to maintain a friendly relationship with the expedition.

Naturally, when that happens, the story flows in certain directions.

"Speaking of which, there's talk that Mashima will join the expedition."

It was Mr. Tsuta who mentioned it.

"Shimazu would have been eager to talk. You even collected signatures."

"Yes."

When I was told the story, Mr. Shimazu nodded.

"Well, what happened?"

"We have 60% consent at the moment. Seventy percent, eighty percent of the time."

"Wow. That's amazing"

"I'm not the only one in charge. In fact, by the time I left Teito to pick up the Mashima people, it was still about 30%."

"Yeah. To some extent, some of you changed your mind because you got your name together. So now Mashima will be part of our expedition?"

"No. I don't know that yet."

Shimazu denied the words of Shimazu, who would lead the way.

"That depends on Mashima"

"... Really?

Mr. Tsuda looked surprised.

"Huh? But why again? You can rendezvous."

"Even Mashima will have a life in Akel."

And it was Kuriyama who sandwiched his mouth.

"It's not like we have to rendezvous."

Nakatsuki-san also says.

"Even before, there would have been people who had left. I respect the will of individuals."

"Well, that's what you are."

"Of course, I'm welcome to join you."

Here, Nakatsu-san pointed the water at this one.

"So, what do you say?

There was a color of expectation in the eyes.

I guess it's certain to respect the will.

As such, they want us to rendezvous.

Everybody's gaze is right this way.

They're asking for answers.

I made contact with the expedition. I got a feel for it.

Will the judgment material be sufficient?

"I..."

After thinking for a few seconds, I was about to say - just before that, the door of the room opened with a noise.

Beyond the wide open door, everyone's gaze is pointed.

"Wait a minute."

A handwashed sunflower with a rugged look had received its gaze.
