Chapter 589 -578: Epilogue (16)

“Don’t rush it. Wait until you’ve fully recovered, then you can have a proper talk with Ethan.”

Chloe Marshall nodded. “Nora, can you call Dorothy up?”

“Okay.” Nora Ainsworth stood up and went downstairs. “Dorothy, your mommy is calling for you.”

Dorothy Ellsworth answered and immediately scampered upstairs.

The two treasures asked worriedly, “Mommy, is Auntie okay?”

Nora Ainsworth nodded. “It’s all in the past now. She’s fine. Come on, let’s go home with Mommy.”

The two boys stood on either side of her, each holding one of her hands. The mother and her two sons arrived home together.

“How’s Chloe?”

Nora Ainsworth leaned in and whispered a few words in his ear. Quentin Grant frowned. “Really?”

“Of course, it’s real.”

Quentin Grant nodded. “It seems that old woman really is something special.”

Nora Ainsworth’s heart pounded with a bit of fear. “I’m never daring to go to Zelkova again.”

“It’s okay. Not just anyone can encounter those sorts of things. It requires a certain affinity.”

Elmer Grant sat on Quentin Grant’s other side. “Daddy, is the baby in Mommy’s tummy a boy or a girl?”

“Well, do you hope it’s a boy or a girl?”

Elmer Grant said listlessly, “I hope it’s a girl.”

“Why is that?” Nora Ainsworth asked.

“Because we already have two boys in the family. If there’s another one, he’ll turn the house upside down.”

Quentin Grant deliberately asked, “What if it is a little brother?”

“Then he’s in for it after he’s born.”

Quentin Grant was caught off guard. “Why would he be in for it?”

“I’ll beat him up.”

Nora Ainsworth couldn’t help but laugh. “As a big brother, you should protect your little brother. There’s no reason to beat him up.”

“I don’t care, I don’t want a little brother. I want a little sister.”

Quentin Grant picked him up and placed him on his lap. “I know why you don’t want a little brother. You’re afraid that if you have one, Daddy and Mommy won’t love you and your big brother anymore, right?”

Elmer Grant’s face lit up with a smile. “Daddy, in our class, after Nina Young’s daddy and mommy had a little brother, they stopped paying much attention to her. They’re super nice to her little brother. They give all the yummy food, fun toys, and new clothes to him first. She’s cried about it in class a bunch of times. If you don’t believe me, ask my brother.”

Dylan Grant nodded. “Elmer’s right. Nina Young’s parents also call her a ‘worthless girl.’ She doesn’t even want to go home after kindergarten, all because she has a ‘precious’ little brother.”

Nora Ainsworth said softly, “That’s other families. Our family won’t be like that. No matter if Mommy’s baby is a little brother or a little sister, you two will always be Daddy and Mommy’s most beloved treasures.”

“Your mommy is right. We’re a family, a loving and caring family.”

Elmer Grant muttered, “Since Daddy and Mommy said so, then if Mommy has a little brother, I won’t beat him up. But, Daddy, you’re so amazing.”

Quentin Grant asked with a smile, “How is Daddy amazing?”

“It’s amazing that you have such a tough mommy who’s giving you three kids. Even though all women can have babies, only our mommy had *your* babies.”

Quentin Grant clapped in agreement. “That’s right. In our family, the greatest person is Mommy.”

However, Daddy also wanted to ask their mommy, “Honey, where am I *most* amazing?”

Nora Ainsworth’s face instantly turned beet red. “You’re amazing everywhere.”

“The boys said the most amazing thing about me is that I have a tough wife, and because of that, I have three little treasures. This still proves that I’m pretty amazing in certain aspects. Don’t you agree with that, my dear?”

Nora Ainsworth stretched languidly. “I’m going to take a nap. You three can do whatever you want.”

She went upstairs.

Quentin Grant checked the time. “Mommy’s gone for her nap. What should the three of us do?”

“Daddy, other kids have their dads take them to the amusement park. You should take us too.”

“Okay.”

The father and his two sons drove to the amusement park.

Before they even got out of the car, Quentin Grant said, “Is this the amusement park where you two got into trouble?”

“Mhm.”

“Hmph.”

The two boys felt a little guilty.

Quentin Grant arched a brow, but his expression was still relatively gentle. “Come on out.”

The two boys scrambled out of the car, overjoyed, and headed for the amusement park entrance.

Quentin Grant, wearing sunglasses, followed behind them like a bodyguard.

The two boys stood under the pirate ship ride and turned to look at Quentin Grant. “Daddy, can we go on this one?”

“Is this one fun?”

“We won’t know until we try it, right?”

So, the father and his two sons got on. Quentin Grant sat between the two boys, under the noble pretense of protecting them.

But…

The truth was, when the pirate ship started to sway, Quentin Grant sat there, calm and composed. As it went a little faster, he still felt it was nothing much. But when it got faster and faster and the wind howled past his ears, he couldn’t help but let out a scream. A group of young people sitting across from him all stared at him in astonishment.

Quentin Grant’s stomach churned, and he felt like he was about to throw up.

When the ride slowed down, he finally looked at his two boys, only to find them both staring at him with mischievous, punch-worthy smiles.

When he got off, Quentin Grant had the honor of throwing up.

And so…

He was met with Dylan Grant’s scorn. “Daddy, you’re a grown-up. You’re scared of this ride?”

“Daddy’s just not used to it…” he said, wiping his mouth.

“But you were totally scared, Daddy,” Elmer added. “We all saw it just now. You even screamed.”

Quentin Grant coughed dryly. “Do you guys want to go on anything else?”

“Yes!”

“Then you two go ahead. Daddy will wait for you down here.”

“You better not leave.”

“Of course I won’t. If Daddy left you two on a ride by yourselves, it’d be a miracle if your mommy didn’t chop me into pieces.”

Elmer shrugged. “Mommy wouldn’t do that. She only ever punishes you in bed.”

“…”

“Daddy, you should just go on the rides. You’re so old, you have to try these things, or else you’ll have lived for nothing.”

Quentin Grant thought about it, felt his son’s words made sense, and nodded in agreement.

The father and his two sons went to the ticket line for the most thrilling ride in the park.

Just then, a splatter of mush suddenly rained down from above, and everyone scrambled to get out of the way.

Quentin Grant was baffled. “Who eats porridge on a ride like this?”

Dylan replied, “Daddy, look closer. Someone threw up on the ride.”

“…”

Quentin Grant tilted his head back and saw that it was true.

He shuddered in disgust but continued to buy the tickets.

The father and his two sons sat in the roller coaster seats, buckled their seatbelts, and settled into the third row.

When the roller coaster started, Quentin Grant subconsciously gripped his seatbelt and shut his eyes.

A chorus of screams erupted around him. Quentin Grant kept his eyes closed, feeling the speed of the ups and downs.

Just then, something fuzzy suddenly flew into his face. He opened his eyes and discovered it was a wig. The girl with the long, flowing hair in front of him was now bald.
