Chapter 1456 - 1450: Avoid Contact With Her (Happy New Year!)
"Stop asking, go to sleep."
Gabriel Lancaster undid his belt and lay down. Seeing her husband clearly didn’t want to say more, Catherine Taylor didn’t ask further. She placed Gabriel Lancaster’s clothes at the end of the bed and got into bed as well.
"Try to interact less with the elder sister-in-law’s family from now on." Gabriel’s voice came from behind, causing Catherine to pause and turn her head.
"Do you mean Violet Zimmerman’s family?"
"No, it’s Victoria Thornton."
Though unsure of the reason, Catherine didn’t delve into it. Her husband must have his reasons.
She agreed with a response and lay back down.
From behind, Gabriel moved closer, pulling her into his arms. "Catherine, wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could have another son,"
Catherine turned towards him, placing Gabriel’s arm over herself.
"Gabriel, what if... we go to the hospital to see if we can try for in vitro fertilization?"
A sigh in the dark, Gabriel said, "Let’s forget about it."
Even for in vitro fertilization, sperm is needed, and his were all nonviable.
A month went by, and Evander Lancaster’s son was a month old.
A proper name had been given, sharing the character with his elder brother Robert Lancaster’s child. Robert’s son’s name was Grayson Lancaster, and Evander’s son was named Gideon Lancaster.
On the day of the full month, the Lancaster Family hosted a grand banquet, inviting friends from both the business and political sectors of T City. Evander’s three brothers also came with their families to celebrate.
Titus Zane was already showing, with a due date in March next year. Nathan Moore stayed by her side like a bodyguard, never leaving her.
Sophie Foster was four months behind her. Though not obvious yet, she had severe morning sickness and kept running to the bathroom during the banquet, leaving Nicholas Croft without peace.
Only Mia Foster hadn’t gotten pregnant yet.
After visiting the doctor, they said it was due to stress; physically, there was nothing abnormal.
The brothers all gave big red envelopes to their nephew. Seeing the endless guests, Juliana Lancaster once again marveled at the power of the Lancaster family.
She pulled her daughter aside and quietly asked, "Sophia, with so many guests invited, the cost of the banquet must not be low, right?"
Sophia Hamilton didn’t pay attention to these things, "Who cares, as long as someone else is paying!"
"You child!" Juliana said helplessly.
But seeing so many people coming to celebrate her grandson’s full month gave her comfort, and Violet Zimmerman had invited such a number of guests, showing her regard for her grandson.
However, Juliana noticed something unusual, tugging her daughter’s sleeve to quietly ask, "Sophia, don’t you think there’s something odd between Evander’s mother and his second uncle?"
Sophia followed her mother’s gaze and glanced over. Violet Zimmerman was toasting guests alongside Joseph Lancaster.
Sophia, not particularly interested, withdrew her gaze. Adjusting the large bundle in her arms, she said, "What’s odd about it? The second uncle is single and often goes to Evander’s mom’s house for meals. It’s normal for an uncle and sister-in-law to be close."
Juliana stared at the uncle and sister-in-law. She wondered if it was just her imagination, but she felt they seemed to have an understanding. Just as Joseph Lancaster had a slight cough, Violet handed over a tissue without verbal exchange or contact. When she handed the tissue from behind, Uncle Joseph took it naturally, as if he had eyes in the back of his head.
If not for years of being together, such a tacit understanding wouldn’t exist.
The most shocking moment for Juliana came next. After toasting one table of guests, Joseph gently supported Violet as they moved to the next table.
The two share an uncle-sister-in-law relationship, and theoretically, they should avoid giving the wrong impression, especially since both are single. The posture seemed a bit intimate, yet they seemed utterly oblivious.
Juliana believed that either the two were genuinely innocent as paper, or they had merely developed this habit over the years!
