Eva Hayes always had a loud voice, and her rude demeanor caused a chopstick of celery and potato shreds to scatter across the table.

Everyone looked up, and the smile on Lucy Zimmerman’s face stiffened.

Trying to be nice and hospitable, who would have thought this would happen.

The most embarrassed was Aria Williams. It was her niece, and at her daughter’s in-laws’ place, so she immediately nodded apologetically to the table of people, frowning disapprovingly and reproaching quietly.

"Lucy, look at you, how can you be so grown up and still not know to be careful!"

Lucy Zimmerman jumped up and said resentfully.

"Auntie! Are you blind? I was kindly helping her serve food, but instead of accepting it, she deliberately made a mess in front of everyone, all of whom have eyes!"

"Lucy!" Aria gritted her teeth and gave everyone an apologetic smile, lowering her voice in reminder, "We’re not at home."

As soon as Aria said this, Lucy Zimmerman became even more displeased, raising her voice to shout, "Just because we’re not at home means we can’t speak! Is there any justice? Auntie, I’m not the one at fault, if you have the guts, say it to her, why are you always picking on me!"

Lucy sat back down angrily, looking defiant.

Violet Zimmerman lowered her head and closed her eyes, putting down her chopsticks, "I’m sorry, let everyone witness a joke."

"Hmph, knowing it’s a joke and still bringing it home, we, the Lancaster Family, have a reputation, not just anyone can come in any time they please."

Eva Hayes continued to eat, making sarcastic remarks without caring about Aria Williams sitting opposite her.

Aria couldn’t hide her discomfort, nor could she argue with her in-laws, as it was her niece who was too reckless, embarrassing her daughter.

Normally, Violet Zimmerman had a good temper, even when the second house made sly remarks she could disregard, but now, their blatant disregard for her mother angered her.

Without waiting for the old man’s intervention, she sat upright and spoke coldly with a slightly raised chin.

"Second Mom, if I remember correctly, I’m the Lancaster Family’s Family Head.

Who to bring in or not bring in is not for others to dictate!"

"Hmph! So what if you’re the Family Head, our second house has already established independently, who will listen to you!" Eva Hayes sneered dismissively, continuing to eat.

"Oh, second mom didn’t mention it, I almost forgot about this!"

Violet Zimmerman sneered, just about to continue speaking when Aria quietly tugged at her sleeve, secretly shaking her head.

"Violet."

Violet looked up, brushing off her mother’s hand, and said seriously, "Mom, don’t worry, this is Lancaster Family business."

After saying this, she turned back to Eva Hayes, coldly stating.

"Since second mom knows your second house has established independently, starting tomorrow, handle your own meals at home, our first house won’t provide for you anymore!"

"Who do you think you are? Saying you won’t provide means you won’t? The old man is still sitting here!" Eva Hayes brazenly put down her chopsticks with a clatter on the table.

What was supposed to be a nice breakfast unexpectedly turned into this, Aria felt uneasy, now that her daughter was asserting herself, she couldn’t stop her.

Sitting beside Aria, Lucy Zimmerman, seeing her cousin standing up for her, puffed up her chest and defiantly glared at Eva Hayes, oblivious to the situation.

Despite Eva Hayes’ confrontation, Violet Zimmerman remained calm, turning unhurriedly to the displeased old man, smiling slightly as she asked.

"Grandfather, do I have the right to manage the family?"

"You’re the Family Head, it’s your call!" The old man, also displeased, realized Eva Hayes was being unreasonable, behaving childishly despite being an elder.

This not only embarrassed the in-laws but also tarnished the Lancaster Family’s reputation.

"Daxton, do you have any objections to my decision?"

Violet turned to Daxton Lancaster, who placed his hand on Violet’s chair, smoothing her hair by her ear, "Violet, you should have done this sooner, you’re the Family Head, not a submissive little wife."

Seeking Daxton Lancaster’s approval was merely a formality, Violet might be soft but not foolish, she knew the second house was most wary of her husband Daxton Lancaster.

She sternly called, "Uncle Xiang!"

Uncle Xiang the housekeeper responded promptly, stepping in swiftly and bowing to the couple, "Family Head, Lady."
