Chapter 1506 - 1498: As Far as the Eye Can See, an Everlasting Love (Part 19)
"Big brother, hurry up and have a baby with sister-in-law, then I can be an aunt!" Aurora Lancaster chimed in excitedly, and Joseph Lancaster joined in the teasing.
"Exactly, big brother, seeing second uncle’s grandchild already makes me itch for one!"
"You rascal, if you’re itching, find a woman and have your own!" Daxton Lancaster replied with a laugh, while Violet Zimmerman hung her head, her face as red as a boiled shrimp.
"Big brother, I’m still in school!" Joseph Lancaster looked over with a grievance, feeling a bit embarrassed in front of his sister-in-law.
"Daxton, keep an eye out for a good girl from another family. Help Joseph settle the marriage matter early!"
The old man instructed, and Daxton Lancaster agreed with a smile and nodded, "Grandfather, rest assured, I’ve always been watching out for Joseph."
"I don’t want to get married, I’m still in school!" Discussing his marriage in front of so many people made Joseph even more embarrassed, so he muttered a sentence and escaped out.
"This child, really." Lorelei Howard watched her son leave and shook her head helplessly.
"Joseph is shy." Watching her little brother-in-law’s retreating back, Violet Zimmerman unconsciously said.
Daxton Lancaster withdrew his gaze and, seeing Violet Zimmerman watching Joseph’s figure, his smile faded and his fox-like eyes gradually narrowed.
Over at Atlas Lancaster’s side, the family gathered joyfully discussing starting a factory. With such a large sum, even if they did nothing, it would be enough for several generations.
After saying goodnight to grandfather and the in-laws, Violet Zimmerman followed Daxton Lancaster back. Throughout the way, Daxton remained silent, eyes slightly narrowed, watching the road ahead.
"Daxton, what’s wrong?" Violet Zimmerman took the initiative to hold his hand. Daxton came back to his senses, smiled at Violet, and said, "Just thinking about business matters."
"Daxton, do you think... if our firstborn is a daughter, would grandfather and parents be unhappy?"
Violet Zimmerman shyly bowed her head. In today’s society where boys are favored over girls, especially in a large family like the Lancaster Family, grandfather and the in-laws must be hoping for a son.
But, what if it’s a daughter? Would grandfather and in-laws, like she heard about in other families, drive her out and find Daxton another wife?
Daxton Lancaster’s fox-like eyes tightened again, "Do you want to have a child?"
Violet Zimmerman...
She looked at him puzzled, wondering... Isn’t marriage meant for continuing the lineage?
Seeing the woman stop to look at him, Daxton Lancaster finally curved his lips, "Let’s go, go back and rest early."
For the ten-minute journey, neither spoke again, Daxton holding Violet’s hand, walking silently at the front.
Looking at the man’s slender back, several times Violet wanted to say something but held back.
Back at the residence, Daxton Lancaster pulled Violet Zimmerman directly up the stairs. Violet followed him, and once stepping onto the corridor Daxton quickened his pace, pulling Violet rapidly toward the bedroom.
Violet Zimmerman, wearing high heels, could only trot along.
Opening the bedroom door, Daxton did not pause; his handsome face was tense, as if something important was about to happen, pulling Violet to the bed. With a flick of the wrist, Violet tumbled onto the bed, and his slender body followed suit.
Thin lips pressed down, crushing Violet Zimmerman’s lips heavily, the man seemed a bit rushed, long fingers trembling as he tried to unbutton Violet’s suit.
Except for the kiss on their wedding night, the two had never touched intimately. Since ancient times, a touch between genders sparks fireworks, and soon enough, Violet Zimmerman was panting softly.
