Chapter 1516 - 1508: As Far as the Eye Can See, an Everlasting Bond (Part 29)
"Daxton, what’s wrong?"
The inexperienced woman didn’t know what happened and turned her head to ask puzzledly.
Just now, she felt something hard hovering at the doorway, but then... it disappeared.
Daxton Lancaster’s face looked even more unpleasant. He pushed Violet Zimmerman away, showing her his underdevelopment, clearly in a fit of rage.
"Look at it! It’s hopeless, how can you get pregnant!"
Violet...
She looked there in shock, though she had never seen an adult man’s, but—
she accidentally saw little children wearing split pants before.
Daxton Lancaster’s part was no different from a child’s, completely covered by hair unless looked at carefully.
"How could this happen?" Even without understanding, Violet knew it wasn’t normal.
"You ask me, who should I ask?" Daxton replied irritably, the man in a bad mood spoke loudly, "Since I started middle school it’s been like this, never grown!"
"Haven’t you seen a doctor?" Violet instinctively replied, Daxton glared at her and asked back, "What’s the use even if I did?"
When he was on a business trip to another place, he went to the hospital for a check-up. The doctor said it was congenital underdevelopment, not clear about the specific reason.
He accepted the underdevelopment, smaller means smaller, as long as it could work, as long as it could continue the family line, but now! It had no reaction at all, how could she get pregnant!
Noticing Daxton’s disappointment, as a man, he was more pained than anyone else. Ignoring the embarrassment, Violet pounced and hugged Daxton’s neck, murmuring.
"Daxton, it’s okay, at worst we won’t have children. We won’t need them, as long as we truly love each other, that’s enough."
Daxton also realized his earlier reaction was too extreme, raised his hand to gently pat Violet’s back, a wry smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.
"Violet, don’t be silly, how could we not have children."
If they were an ordinary couple it would be fine, as long as his wife didn’t mind, they could live without children and be just an ordinary couple.
But, his status was not ordinary. He is the head of the Lancaster family, carrying responsibilities. When his grandfather handed over the position of family head to him, he repeatedly reminded that the position must not be taken by the second house.
The Lancaster family rules strictly state that the position of family head must pass to the eldest grandson, but he couldn’t have children, where would the eldest grandson come from?
If there were no children, the position of family head would eventually still be occupied by the second house!
"No, Daxton, I don’t care, I don’t care, as long as you treat me well, I treat you well, we live a good life together, I don’t care about anything."
"But I care."
A few words, representing Daxton’s helplessness, he took Violet’s hand wrapped around his neck, held her shoulders, and pushed her a bit further away to let her look at him, said Daxton word by word.
"I am the head of the Lancaster family, you are the matron. We both must have children, Violet, this is not something you and I can decide on our own."
"What... do you mean?" Violet frowned, a bad thought sprouting in her mind. He obviously couldn’t, yet said they must have children. Could it be... he wanted her to find someone outside?
No! She absolutely wouldn’t do such an immoral thing!
Daxton took a deep breath, retracted his hands, supported himself on the edge of the bathtub, and sat up.
"Never mind, it’s late, let’s rest."
Watching the man’s slender back, even though he wore nothing, Violet forgot to be shy; all she could think about was Daxton saying they must have children...
