Eva Hayes dumps half a plate of fried meat onto Victoria Thornton’s dish, glances at her niece, and sneers.

"What do you know, girl? Pregnant women should eat what they crave, or else the child will be born with red eyes. Your sister-in-law isn’t pregnant, what are you arguing for?"

With a "bang," the old man’s chopsticks slammed onto the dining table.

"Tell the cook to make more of whatever Daemon’s wife likes to eat! Running around with a plate all the time, can’t even eat peacefully!"

Eva Hayes reluctantly sits back down, stealing a glance at the old man before putting the plate back.

After breakfast, Daxton Lancaster is called by the old man, "Both families go home, Daxton and his wife stay behind."

"Dad, we’re heading out." Arthur Saunders and his wife greet the old man and get up to leave.

Eva Hayes grumbles in dissatisfaction, shouting at her husband who was just about to stand up, "What are you dawdling for? The old man didn’t keep you!"

Worried that the old man would get angry, Atlas Lancaster scolds before the old man speaks.

"You women are just noisy all day long, see how I deal with you when we get back!"

"Atlas Lancaster, don’t you know any better!" Eva Hayes yells in displeasure, causing the old man to glance over unhappily, his eyebrows furrowed, clearly disliking his daughter-in-law.

"Mom, stop shouting, Dad and I need to get to the factory." Daemon Lancaster advises, prompting Eva Hayes to stop arguing with Atlas, and walk over to support Victoria Thornton deliberately.

"Victoria, take it slow, no need to rush for the old man."

Joseph Lancaster and Aurora Lancaster also follow out, leaving only the old man with Daxton and his wife in the living room.

The old man lowers his gaze, letting out a sigh while patting his thigh, "Daxton, your grandfather is old, I just hope to hold a great-grandchild before I lose my senses. Look at the second branch, your second mom is always showing off, you two should give your grandfather some credit."

Daxton Lancaster smiles comfortingly, "Grandfather, having a baby requires fate as well, your grandson is working hard every night."

Violet Zimmerman lowers her head, looking at her fingers as if shy, but she knows her own feelings best.

Her husband Daxton does not measure up; it’s not a matter of effort.

The old man lifts his gaze and turns it to her.

"Violet."

Violet Zimmerman instinctively looks up, just in time to hear the old man say, "Grandfather is relying on you!"

Violet Zimmerman purses her lips and answers, "Grandfather, Daxton and I will soon have a child."

"Ah, good child." The old man pats his thigh again, letting out another sigh.

Upon leaving the old man’s residence, both husband and wife carry heavy expressions; Daxton walks ahead, with his slightly narrowed eyes pondering something.

Violet follows behind him, similarly preoccupied, not even noticing when Daxton stops, and bumps directly into his back.

"Ouch," Violet exclaims, rubbing her forehead, while Daxton turns around, gazing down at her, asking.

"How did you consider what I said last night?"

Violet looks up, still pressing her fingertip against her sore forehead, murmuring in confusion.

"Consider what?"

Daxton takes a breath, then slowly exhales, gripping both of Violet’s wrists tightly, with a serious look in his eyes.

"Violet, I’ve never begged anyone in my life, but today, I’m begging you, help our Lancaster Family have an heir, alright?"
