Chapter 1459 - 1453: A Dinner with an Agenda
On the other side, Daemon Lancaster is figuring out how to bring Nathan Moore and the others into his team.
Over here, Nathan Moore spoke expressionlessly, "Are you going to leave on your own, or do I need to do it personally?"
"Mr. Moore, Director Moore, we can talk this over, please let go, there are so many people here."
Dominic Quinn chuckled as he pleaded, while Sophie Foster watched the commotion fearlessly.
"Uncle Moore, come on, give him a couple punches!"
As Sophie spoke, she let go of Nicholas Croft’s arm, restlessly swinging her fists while chanting, "Left hook, right hook, knock his teeth out!"
Nicholas Croft pulled the jumping Sophie back to his side.
"Can’t you just behave?"
Sophie said defiantly, "I’m just eager, Uncle Moore is so handsome, he must look super cool when fighting!"
"Second brother, why don’t we drag him out and each give him a couple punches, this kind of guy won’t learn his lesson without a good beating."
Felix Shaw was also stirring up trouble, and Dominic Quinn instinctively swallowed hard, as he faced the three tall men, pleading for mercy.
"Director Moore, I’m sorry, I was wrong, I’ll get lost, right away,"
Nathan Moore loosened his palm, and Dominic Quinn, whether from fright or the sheer strength of the man, staggered backwards and then quickly scurried out.
By the time the manager arrived with security, Dominic Quinn was nowhere to be seen.
The men returned to their seats at the table.
Mia Foster glanced at Nathan Moore’s gloomy face and subtly raised an eyebrow.
"Titus Zane, is Second Brother always like this at home too?"
Titus Zane looked at the man who sat beside her, and strangely, the fear of him used to be deep-seated, but now, even knowing he was angry sometimes, she not only wasn’t afraid but would intentionally provoke him.
Smiling proudly, Titus Zane said, "He’s just a paper tiger!"
Nathan Moore glanced over at his woman, the darkness quickly faded from his face, and his handsome features softened considerably.
Mia Foster sighed silently, even the strongest man becomes a docile cat in front of the woman he loves.
This little episode didn’t bring any negative impacts to the Lancaster Family, on the contrary, the guests present all thought the troublemaker was a lunatic.
The banquet ended, and in the evening, the Lancaster’s old house held another gathering; with the grandson’s one-month celebration, such a joyous occasion was typically celebrated for days in the past.
Like always, the banquet was held in the reception hall, where all the Lancaster Family members used to have breakfast and dinner together.
Violet Zimmerman and Joseph Lancaster sat at a table with their peers; the younger Lancasters sat further down.
Sophia Hamilton found it too noisy, so she used taking care of her son as an excuse not to attend, staying in her residence with her mother, playing with her son after dinner.
In the reception hall, Daemon Lancaster raised his wine glass first.
"Sister-in-law, the Lancaster Family has a new member, it’s truly delightful and deserves celebration, I propose a toast on behalf of all the brothers and sisters of the Lancaster Family."
Violet Zimmerman raised her wine glass politely and said, "Thank you, big brother."
Seeing Joseph Lancaster not raising his glass, Daemon Lancaster pretended not to understand and asked, "Joseph, why aren’t you drinking?"
Joseph Lancaster smiled and said, "It’s my sister-in-law’s family celebrating a new member, not mine."
"Hey? Joseph, that’s not quite right, Daxton isn’t here, you’re his biological brother, emotionally and logically, you should drink this toast for him!" Daemon Lancaster insisted, refusing to drink until Joseph raised his glass.
Joseph Lancaster smiled again and had no choice but to raise his wine glass.
