Chapter 1178 - 1179: Where Did the Husband Come From
Anna dropped Mrs. Monroe off at the hotel, then immediately took a car home.
She couldn’t wait to get inside and joyfully called out, "Honey," but the living room was empty with no sign of Carter Lockwood.
Anna went upstairs, but there was no trace of him in the study or the bedroom.
Hmm? Where did Carter go?
Why hasn’t he come back yet!
Lately, as soon as she came home, she would see Carter Lockwood. This habit had unknowingly become ingrained, and suddenly not being able to see him felt very uncomfortable.
Anna was feeling gloomy and was about to call Carter.
She tossed her handbag at the entryway and walked over to get her phone.
Before reaching the door, she heard a ringing from inside, and her first instinct was that Carter was calling.

"Anna!"
The voice on the other end suddenly raised, startling Anna.
Carter Lockwood would never speak to her so harshly.
She took another look at the screen and saw the name displayed.
It wasn’t "Honey," it was "Brother!"
In her rush to answer, seeing the "Old" character, she had naturally assumed it was Carter. Besides, her brother hadn’t contacted her in days; even after she had kicked him a few times, he hadn’t even sent a text.
Anna picked up the phone again, not too pleased, and asked, "What do you want!"
The call from Eldest Master Monroe was interrupting her contact with Carter.
"Who is your husband?"
"When did you get a husband?"
Eldest Master Monroe had clearly heard what Anna had said.
He couldn’t accept that while he was away from The Morgan Family, his sister had found a husband.
"Whether or not I have a husband is none of your damn business!"
Anna responded sharply.
"I’m your brother!"
Eldest Master Monroe shouted angrily, "Tell me, who is your husband!"
"Anna, how can you just casually date!"
"Haven’t you had enough of Sean Lockwood!"
When Anna was with Sean Lockwood, Eldest Master Monroe had opposed it. After she and Sean Lockwood fell out, Eldest Master Monroe had directly gone to beat Sean up.
Although he fell because of Miles Morgan’s affair with Ivy Preston, he had always doted on his sister Anna since childhood.
Whoever dared to bully his sister deserved a beating.
"What dating, I’ve called him husband, obviously we got married."
Anna responded directly.
"Brother, why did you call? What’s the matter?"
"I’m waiting for my husband’s call!"
Since Eldest Master Monroe heard it, Anna had no intention to deny it.
She felt uncomfortable not telling Mrs. Monroe that Carter was her husband.
She increasingly wanted to tell the whole world that she was Carter’s wife!
"Anna!"
Eldest Master Monroe asked angrily, "What exactly happened?"
"Who is he? What’s his family background! How can you just marry any man!"
"Is it because of what happened with Dad and me?"
Before Anna could respond, Eldest Master Monroe started to overthink.
"No matter how far I’ve fallen, you can’t give up on yourself."
"You’re still young; there are plenty of men out there. You can take your time to choose. How can you just marry anyone?"
His sister got married, and with a husband he didn’t know about, Eldest Master Monroe was deeply conflicted.
It was him. It must be his own self-abandonment that drove Anna to desperation, making her randomly find a man to rely on.
