The man had a top-tier appearance. Just his face alone rendered everything around him dull by comparison, not to mention his divine aura. From his gestures and demeanor, it was clear he occupied a high position.

Though somewhat older, he was in no way inferior to Ethan Grant.

Zoe Quinn stood there, dumbfounded, watching him walk towards her. She felt this man was familiar, and more so, noticed her heart racing.

She had always wanted to find a man like this. Ethan Grant was one, and so was this man.

As for Sean Lockwood, he was merely a stepping stone for her.

Simon Sterling, waiting impatiently in the car, was eager to go inside and see his Serena.

He walked over in this direction, noticed a girl staring at him, glanced over, but didn’t think much of it.

However, she was blocking his path.

"Miss!"

Simon spoke, a trace of cold impatience crossing his handsome face.

"Hello."

Zoe Quinn’s face flushed red. She had great confidence in her appearance. Otherwise, how could she have played Sean Lockwood so easily, making him break with The Lockwood Family just to be with her?

The man in front appeared to be in his forties, likely a business partner of Ethan Grant’s.

Wealthy, good-looking, perhaps he liked delicate young women like her.

"Hmm!"

Zoe softened her voice and said, "My name is..."

As she was about to introduce herself, Simon’s indifferent words interrupted her.

"Please, make way!"

Zoe was stunned, and an awkward expression appeared on her face. Seeing the man’s furrowed brow, she had no choice but to step aside and let him pass.

However, she quickly adjusted her mood.

If she were so easily discouraged, she wouldn’t have pursued Ethan Grant relentlessly for years.

Now, rather than saying she had let go of Ethan Grant, it was more accurate to say she didn’t dare to cling on.

Zoe watched the man walk over to Ethan Grant and The Dowager Grant, noticed him glance back at her, and press his lips into a smile.

This man was older than Ethan Grant, possibly burdened with a mediocre wife at home.

With Ethan Grant and The Dowager Grant nearby, it was not convenient for him to ask her name.

For a moment, Zoe’s mind was rife with wild thoughts, imagining countless stories between her and Simon. She fantasized about being whisked away by him and finding happiness anew, just to show Serena Sullivan!

The more she thought about it, the happier she became, and the more tenderly she gazed at the man.

The odd look in Zoe’s eyes did not escape Ethan Grant, who privately felt uneasy.

Zoe Quinn’s mind worked in mysterious ways; she seemed to have taken a liking to his father-in-law!

On second thought, perhaps it could be amusing to see how his father-in-law handled such a romantic entanglement!

"Ethan, please escort The Dowager Grant inside."

Simon spoke with a calm voice, having overheard The Dowager Grant’s comments in the car.

Being a parent himself, he picked up on her complaints about his daughter.

Simon suddenly felt a tightness in his chest, resolving to have a discussion with The Dowager Grant.

"Alright."

Ethan readily agreed, deliberately omitting to call Simon "Father," thereby giving Zoe a "chance."

With Ethan’s approval, Zoe happily followed Simon inside, completely disregarding the elderly Dowager Grant behind her.

"Zoe," The Dowager Grant called after her, but Zoe didn’t turn back. Instead, she quickened her pace after Simon.

"Grandmother, let’s go in."

Ethan helped The Dowager Grant inside. She looked at her cherished grandson and recalling her reasons for coming, felt a pang of discomfort in her heart.
