Chapter 417: Adrian, Please Hurry
Adrian Law looked down at Cecilia Vaughn.
He extended his long arm, trapping the girl between the wall and his chest.
"Cecilia, if you’re really uncomfortable, not using medication might leave a lasting problem."
The man stared at her intently, his eyes bright like obsidian, leaving Cecilia deeply embarrassed and unsure of how to escape.
"I... how about this, you give me the ointment, and I’ll apply it myself."
"Cecilia, are you sure you can apply it accurately by yourself?"
Adrian sensually moved his throat, his dark eyes showing a determined glint. As he glanced over the various marks on the girl’s skin, a strange sense of satisfaction emerged in his heart.
...
Already feeling both shy and awkward, Cecilia blushed as Adrian looked at her with an ambiguous smile.
She was about to come up with a new excuse, but Adrian leisurely began to threaten her.
"Cecilia, if you insist on applying the ointment yourself, you can, but I’ll have to stay by your side to make sure you don’t miss any spots."
"..."
Cecilia was utterly struck by this statement!
The string in her mind snapped with a bang!
She would apply the medication while Adrian watched her from the side?
Just imagining that scene made her want to disappear in embarrassment.
Although the two were married and had been intimate before, this was beyond Cecilia’s comfort level.
She had always been conservative, agreeing to apply the ointment is already a compromise, yet Adrian insisted on pushing her.
"I... I..."
Cecilia’s lips moved hesitantly for a long time, but she couldn’t say anything in the end.
Adrian chuckled softly, then sat down in front of Cecilia.
"Why have you become such a stutterer? Alright, Cecilia, let me do it..."
Without giving the girl a chance to refuse, Adrian bent down and carefully lifted Cecilia’s skirt.
"It is quite red indeed..."
The man focused on evaluating the injured area with a serious look, his voice tinged with some guilt.
Though Cecilia knew Adrian was only referring to the injury, she was flustered and at a loss.
Her ears turned a light shade of pink.
"You... stop looking, just hurry up and finish, okay?"
Although he knew Cecilia was quite reserved about these things, Adrian still shook his head, looking at her playfully.
"Cecilia, applying it carelessly won’t do. Otherwise, you’ll be the one to suffer."
Cecilia: "..."
She felt uncomfortable, thanks to Adrian, otherwise why would she...?
Thinking of those fragmented memories, her face grew redder, while Adrian’s fingertips applied some ointment. His teasing expression was gone, replaced with great focus as he treated Cecilia’s wounds.
This time, the man didn’t make any untoward moves, yet somehow an itch spread throughout her heart.
Her eyes lost focus, her vision blurred. She knew she had to try to ignore certain things, but the burning heat in the man’s palms was unavoidable.
Words that were meant to scold Adrian ended up as a suppressed moan.
"Please hurry..."
Adrian nodded, a thin layer of sweat appearing on his face.
He knew why Cecilia was uncomfortable, but seeing her vibrant beauty, her flushed ears, this scene kept testing him, challenging him.
His throat felt slightly dry.
...
It’s unclear how much time passed before the mutual ordeal finally ended.
Cecilia felt a sense of relief, while the usually composed Adrian also breathed a sigh of relief.
"All done."
Cecilia nodded weakly.
"I’ll change my clothes, you head out."
"Alright."
This time Adrian didn’t tease Cecilia, as he couldn’t. The imagery from the ointment application lingered in his mind, aware that he’d pushed too hard earlier. If he stayed in the same room with Cecilia any longer, he feared he might do something inappropriate.
...
By the afternoon, Cecilia felt the discomfort ease slightly, thanks to the cooling ointment. However, there was still a faint pain.
When she informed Adrian, his face tensed a bit.
"Cecilia, if that’s the case, let’s go to the hospital."
Cecilia never thought she’d have to go to the hospital for something like this. How was she supposed to face the doctors?
Even if they were strangers, Cecilia couldn’t get over it.
"Cecilia, I’m sorry for causing you pain, but ignoring it isn’t wise. Please, follow my lead."
The man knew about Cecilia’s unspoken embarrassment, but this matter couldn’t be delayed.
Under Adrian’s strong insistence, Cecilia reluctantly wore a mask and was taken to the hospital’s outpatient clinic by him.
This was a private hospital with excellent privacy, and the attending physician was an elderly female doctor.
After a brief examination and inquiry, the doctor looked at Adrian disapprovingly.
"What kind of husband are you? You should cherish your wife more, and for the next week or two, refrain from such activities, understand?"
"Cecilia, I’m sorry... I promise there won’t be a next time."
The man clenched his fist. Hearing the doctor’s admonition, he inwardly cursed himself for being selfish and causing Cecilia pain.
Cecilia originally felt embarrassed and uneasy, but seeing Adrian’s remorseful face, she also felt bad.
"It’s alright... Adrian, I don’t blame you..."
Though how could she say... that part of him was indeed impressively well-endowed, perhaps also part of her inability to adjust...
After getting the prescription, Adrian meticulously asked the doctor whether there would be lasting effects, and carefully noted all precautions, hoping to avoid any future repetition.
He truly cared for his wife.
...
In the following days, Adrian indeed behaved himself. Each night, he merely hugged Cecilia, reminding her to apply the ointment on time. He even had Cecilia take time off from school for this matter.
Cecilia felt bored, remembering having not yet tried archery and horseback riding at the estate that Mona Summers recommended. Feeling regretful, she dragged Adrian along to go there.
At a countryside estate, at the archery field.
The man stood behind Cecilia, holding her fingers to guide her in adjusting her posture.
"Cecilia, see, keep your hands relaxed, maintain a steady posture, and lean slightly forward when you draw the bow..."
The man’s magnetic words brushed past her ear, causing Cecilia’s heart to race, nearly forgetting how to shoot the arrow.
With a shaky hand, her arrow hit the outermost ring.
Adrian: "..."
Cecilia: "..."
Adrian helplessly held his forehead, wanting to continue teaching her. However, two unexpected guests walked over with smiles.
"Oh, sister, what a coincidence, you and Mr. Law are here for archery too?"
