Chapter 140: Fighting Tha Qsycho
Ice slowly spread across the weapons of Nobody. White frost crawled along their surfaces. Cold mist drifted into the air.
Jonathan tilted his head. "...Those toys again?"
Nobody lowered his stance. "They were enough before. They’ll be enough now."
Jonathan’s grin widened. "I was hoping you’d say that."
The black aura erupted once more.
BOOOOOOM!!
Nobody dashed forward at the exact same instant.
CRACK!!
The floor shattered beneath both of them. One surrounded by freezing ice. The other consumed by endless darkness. Their fists collided.
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!
A shockwave blasted through the apartment building. Windows exploded across multiple floors. The entire structure trembled violently.
Outside...
Police vehicles skidded to a stop. Officers jumped out.
One stared toward the shaking apartment building. "My god...What was that? It sounded like a bomb."
Another officer grabbed his radio. "All units! There was a bomb explosion sound in a nearby area!"
High above...
News helicopters redirected their cameras toward East Riverside. Searchlights illuminated the building. Rain continued pouring from the heavens.
Inside...
Nobody and Jonathan remained locked against each other. Ice pushed against darkness.
Neither side gave an inch.
Jonathan’s smile slowly returned. "...Now this...is fun."
Nobody’s eyes burned with determination beneath the rabbit helmet. "No. His grip tightened. "This....is where your massacre ends."
The battle that would decide the fate of Alkon City had begun.
Jonathan rushed forward like a streak of distorted light.
Nobody tightened his grip on the crowbar. His bunny helmeted head tilted slightly. "...Let’s fight."
The moment those words left his mouth, Jonathan vanished. Pixel fragments scattered into the air.
Nobody immediately swung his crowbar.
WHOOSH!!
The heavy iron bar crushed nothing but empty air.
"...!"
Jonathan had already disappeared.
A split second later....
PIXELATE...
Jonathan materialized directly behind Nobody. His cold voice echoed. "Too slow."
STAB!!
The black knife plunged into Nobody’s back. "ARGHHH!!" Nobody stumbled several steps forward.
The knife had pierced deep enough to deal tremendous damage.

[Critical Hit Received]

Jonathan slowly pulled the knife out. Blood dripped onto the asphalt before fading into particles. He smiled. "So this is all you’ve got?"
Before Nobody could answer.....
A familiar blue system window appeared.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[Minor Healing Applied]

Nobody straightened himself. The wound sealed almost instantly. His breathing returned to normal.
Jonathan narrowed his eyes. "...Healing."
Nobody twirled the crowbar once. "Guess you’ll have to try harder."
Jonathan’s expression remained calm. "So you got some powers too...like me."
Nobody didn’t answer.
Instead...
He snapped his fingers. Thousands...No... Tens of thousands of steel crowbars materialized in the sky.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Skill Activated
Infinite Crowbar Swingers
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The road darkened beneath the shadow of countless weapons.
Jonathan looked upward. "...Interesting."
Nobody pointed forward. "Go."
Every crowbar shot downward simultaneously.
FWOOOOOOOSH!!
The air trembled, buildings shook. The road cracked beneath the overwhelming barrage.
Jonathan calmly took one step backward.
Then....
His body dissolved into glowing pixels.
PIXELATE...
The entire storm of crowbars struck empty pavement.
BOOM!!
BOOM!!
BOOOOOM!!
The street exploded into clouds of dust. Concrete shattered and streetlights collapsed. Parked cars were pushed backward by the shockwaves.
When the dust settled....
Jonathan was gone.
Nobody looked around. "...Where?"
The system answered immediately.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[Mind Reader]
Target is no longer nearby.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody frowned. "He ran?"
Then....
His phone vibrated. It wasn’t actually a phone. It was the system interface.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Current Target Location Updated
Distance:
2.3 km
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody looked toward the distant road. "So that’s where you went."
Without hesitation....He sprinted. His speed increased rapidly.
Cars became blurs. People barely noticed the bunny figure racing across rooftops.
Meanwhile...
Two kilometers away, Jonathan calmly stood in the middle of another empty road.
Streetlights flickered. The sky was turning dark as the moon was being swallowed into the clouds. He quietly spun the knife between his fingers.
"...Come."
A few seconds later....
A powerful impact echoed nearby.
BOOM!!
Nobody landed in front of him.
The road cracked beneath his feet. Neither of them spoke. The city around them had become strangely silent.
Jonathan finally smiled. "You found me."
Nobody shrugged. "You weren’t hiding."
Jonathan raised his knife. "I wanted to see whether you’d chase."
"You talk too much." Nobody rushed first. He swung the crowbar horizontally.
Jonathan disappeared. Pixel fragments scattered again.
Nobody had expected it this time. He immediately turned.
CLANG!!
The knife collided against the crowbar instead of Nobody’s body.
Jonathan’s eyes widened slightly. "You predicted it."
Nobody grinned with an excited smile. "You teleport behind people way too often."
Jonathan vanished again. Left and right. Even above and behind. His body continuously dissolved into pixels before reappearing from impossible angles. Each teleportation happened within fractions of a second.
Nobody defended continuously.
CLANG!!
CLANG!!
CLANG!!
Sparks flew every time knife met steel. The sounds echoed across the deserted street. Jonathan suddenly kicked Nobody’s chest.
THUD!!
Nobody slid backward nearly twenty meters. Jonathan instantly teleported again. This time....He appeared directly overhead.
The knife descended toward Nobody’s neck. Nobody rolled sideways. The blade stabbed into the asphalt instead.
BOOM!!
The impact carved a deep crater.
Nobody retaliated. His crowbar glowed faintly. He swung upward.
Jonathan barely teleported away before the strike connected.
A nearby traffic signal wasn’t as fortunate. It split cleanly in half.
Jonathan landed atop a bus stop. "...You’re adapting."
Nobody rested the crowbar on his shoulder. "I learn fast."
Jonathan tilted his head. "But not fast enough." His body disappeared once more.
Nobody closed his eyes. He stopped watching. Instead, he listened the wind, footsteps, pixel distortion. "There! Behind me!" Nobody instantly spun.
WHAM!!
The crowbar struck Jonathan’s knife. A massive shockwave erupted. Windows shattered across nearby buildings.
Jonathan was pushed backward. His shoes scraped across the road.
For the first time...
His expression became serious. "You sensed me."
Nobody replied, "You make a tiny sound every time you teleport."
Jonathan froze for a second. "...Impossible."
"You thought nobody would notice? Technically a certain Nobody can."
Jonathan smiled again. "I underestimated you."
Nobody laughed. "Finally."
Jonathan slowly raised one hand. The surrounding air began filling with countless blue pixels. More than before. They floated around the entire street.
Streetlights...
Cars...
Buildings...
Everything reflected the strange glowing particles.
Nobody quietly observed them. "...What’s this?"
Jonathan answered, "I’ve been holding back."
The pixels gathered around his body. His speed increased dramatically. The pressure in the atmosphere became overwhelming. Even breathing felt heavier.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Warning
Enemy Speed Increasing...
Enemy Ability Evolving...
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody read the notification. "...Great."
Jonathan vanished.
This time.....
Even the pixel trail disappeared.
Nobody couldn’t see him. Couldn’t hear him.
Then....
SLASH!!
A shallow cut appeared across Nobody’s shoulder. Then another across his arm. Another across his side.
Jonathan was attacking from every direction faster than perception itself.
Nobody swung wildly. Nothing connected.
The knife continued carving small wounds across his body.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Health:
500 → 470
500 → 445
500 → 421
Minor Healing Activated.
Health Restored.
500 / 500
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The healing continuously repaired every injury.
Jonathan clicked his tongue. "So your regeneration keeps up."
Nobody smirked. "Looks like you’ll need something stronger."
Jonathan stopped moving. He stood several meters away. "...Perhaps."
Both fighters stared at each other. The wind blew across the damaged street.
Broken concrete, bent traffic signs, destroyed cars and cracked buildings. The entire battlefield looked like it had survived a natural disaster. Yet neither of them appeared tired.
Nobody adjusted his grip.
Jonathan spun his knife once more with no words and no hesitation. Only killing intent.
Somewhere far away, people watched from apartment windows, too frightened to step outside. Police sirens echoed in the distance, but none dared approach the devastated road. The battle had already exceeded anything an ordinary human could comprehend.
High above the city skyline, dark clouds slowly gathered as if responding to the overwhelming energy being released below.
........
The deserted avenue stretched into the distance beneath rows of flickering streetlights. Pieces of broken asphalt and frozen debris marked the path the two fighters had taken.
Nobody stood in the middle of the road, breathing steadily. "...He’s not just teleporting," he muttered. "He’s choosing every position perfectly."
Jonathan remained across the intersection, calmly twirling the knife between his fingers.
Neither of them moved.
For several seconds, the city was completely silent.
Then....
Pixel.
Jonathan disappeared.
Nobody didn’t even think. He swung both crowbars in opposite directions.
WHOOSH!
Both attacks sliced through empty air.
"Wrong guess." Jonathan’s voice echoed from above.
Nobody looked up just as Jonathan dropped from the roof.
CLANG!
Nobody crossed his crowbars just in time, blocking the downward strike. The force pushed him backward several meters, his shoes carving long marks into the pavement. "Tch..."
Jonathan landed lightly on the ground. "You learn fast. And you talk too much."
Nobody grinned before stomping the ground. "Ice Infusion!" A wave of frost raced across the street like a living river, rapidly spreading toward Jonathan.
Instead of retreating....
Jonathan smiled.
Pixel.
He vanished again. The ice swept past the empty road.
Nobody sighed. "There he goes again..."
A familiar System notification appeared.

"So the System is learning too." Nobody’s eyes narrowed. "If it keeps analyzing, sooner or later it’ll tell me how to beat him."
Far away, Jonathan stood on the roof of a seven-story office building, looking down at the battlefield. The cold wind rustled his dark coat. "...Interesting." He had expected Nobody to panic after failing to land a single hit.
Instead...
Nobody was smiling. That smile reminded Jonathan of someone from a very distant memory. Someone who never gave up, no matter how hopeless the battle looked. "...You’re different."
Back on the street, Nobody spun one crowbar around his finger before resting it on his shoulder. "Running away every five seconds isn’t going to win you this fight."
Jonathan’s expression remained calm. "I wasn’t running." His body began dissolving into glowing pixels once more. "I’m choosing the battlefield."
In the blink of an eye, he disappeared again.
Nobody chuckled as he tightened his grip on both crowbars. "Fine." His eyes sharpened with determination.
"I’ll chase you to the end of Alkon City if I have to."
