Mr.Nobody: I am inside a webcomic?!

Chapter 138: Let there be carnage!!

The rooftop overlooked nearly half of Alkon City. Jonathan Milow stood alone beneath the moon. The strange black aura continued to coil around his body, pulsing like a living organism. Every heartbeat seemed to make it denser. He slowly looked down at his hands. His fingers trembled. "...What..." He clenched his fist. "...is happening to me?"

The aura crawled across his arm before disappearing beneath his sleeve.

He took a slow breath. Instead of calming him...His heartbeat accelerated. His thoughts became louder.

Faster and more chaotic.

He placed a hand against his forehead. "No..." His breathing became uneven. "I...I feel..." His smile slowly widened without him realizing it. "...like hunting even more."

The feeling wasn’t normal. It wasn’t excitement. It was an overwhelming urge. An uncontrollable impulse that drowned out everything else.

Reasoning, fear, mercy, they all disappeared beneath the growing darkness in his mind.

Jonathan let out a quiet laugh. "Heh..." Then another. "Hahaha..." His laughter echoed across the rooftop.

The black aura burst outward.

BOOM!

In the next instant....

He vanished.

FWOOSH!

Only distorted air remained where he had been standing.

Across another district...

A young woman relaxed on the couch inside her apartment. The television quietly played a late-night comedy show. She smiled while holding a mug of hot chocolate. "Hmm..." She stretched comfortably. "Life is going pretty good." She reached for the remote.

Then....

The lights flickered.

She frowned. "...Power issue?"

A cold breeze drifted through the room.

She slowly turned toward the hallway. "...Hello?" Before she could react....

A dark figure appeared behind her. Her eyes widened in shock. Blood splashed. The room fell silent.

Moments later, the television continued playing to an empty audience as the figure disappeared once again into the night.

Jonathan reappeared atop another building. His breathing had become heavier. His grin wider. The black aura pulsed with every movement. He looked across the endless sea of city lights. "There..." He vanished again.

Another neighborhood.

Another quiet street. Another unsuspecting victim crossed paths with the shadow moving through the city.

Within moments, Jonathan disappeared once more, leaving only panic and confusion behind.

Sirens began echoing in the distance.

Then another and another.

Far across the city.....

Nobody’s crimson motorcycle raced between empty streets.

VROOOOOOOM!!

The wind whipped against his coat. His eyes remained fixed ahead.

Suddenly....

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

[Emergency Alert]

Warning.

Target activity increasing.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody frowned. "What?"

Another screen appeared.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Jonathan Milow

Confirmed Victims:

13 (°⌓ °;)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"..." Nobody tightened his grip. "...Damn it."

The number changed.

14

"..."

Then....

15

"What?!" His eyes widened.

The number continued climbing.

16

17

18

Each update came only seconds apart.

Nobody’s heart skipped a beat. "No..! This can’t be happening..."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

[System Warning]

The target is utilizing enhanced spatial movement.

Multiple attacks detected across different districts.

Response time insufficient.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody slammed the brakes.

SCREEECH!!

The motorcycle skidded sideways across the asphalt.

"What do you mean insufficient?!"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Target mobility currently exceeds the user’s travel speed.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody stared at the rapidly updating screen.

The number rose again.

19

20

"...Impossible..! How is he moving this fast?"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Spatial movement ability allows rapid relocation.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody gritted his teeth. "Damn it!" He accelerated once more. The motorcycle roared through the streets. As he rounded the next corner... His expression froze.

Police vehicles blocked an intersection. Red and blue emergency lights illuminated the buildings. Several officers were rushing to secure the area. Nearby civilians stood crying and hugging one another.

Nobody slowed only for a second. He saw paramedics kneeling beside victims while officers searched the surroundings for clues. His fists tightened. "..." He didn’t stop. He couldn’t.

Jonathan was already somewhere else.

Minutes later....

Another district.

More sirens and more police tape. More frightened people.

Nobody’s motorcycle raced past. His breathing became heavier.

The city no longer felt alive. It felt terrified. Every passing minute meant another emergency call. Another family receiving devastating news. Another neighborhood descending into fear.

Nobody whispered through clenched teeth, "...You monster."

.......

The System projected a citywide map. Red warning markers spread across Alkon City one after another. Each marker represented another confirmed attack. The pattern wasn’t random anymore.

Jonathan was deliberately creating chaos. He wasn’t hiding. He was forcing the city into panic.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

[Threat Assessment Updated]

Jonathan Milow

Threat Level:

S

Reason:

Extreme escalation in civilian casualties and citywide instability.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody stared at the screen. "...S?"

The System had never assigned a threat level that high before.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Correct.

Target behavior has evolved beyond previous projections.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody looked toward the skyline.

Helicopters had begun circling overhead. Searchlights swept across rooftops. Police radio chatter echoed from every direction.

Even with all of that...

Jonathan continued moving.

.......

On top of an abandoned office building, Jonathan appeared once again. His chest rose and fell rapidly. The black aura swirled around him like a storm.

Below...

Sirens filled the streets. Helicopters searched the sky. Officers rushed in every direction. Jonathan slowly spread his arms. His smile stretched wider than ever. He looked down at the city with gleaming eyes. "This..." He laughed. "Hahaha...This is the best night of my life."

The aura surged violently around him.

Far away, a crimson motorcycle sped toward the horizon.

Nobody’s voice trembled with fury. "This motherf**ker..." He gripped the handlebars until his gloves creaked. "...has crossed every line."

The engine roared louder.

His eyes burned with determination. "I don’t care what powers you were given. I don’t care how many times you teleport. I’m ending your worthless life tonight, you bitc*.

The crimson motorcycle accelerated into the darkness as Alkon City braced for the confrontation that would decide whether the nightmare continued... or finally came to an end.

The emergency frequency across Alkon City erupted with overlapping calls. Police dispatchers struggled to keep up.

"Unit Twelve, respond to Riverside Avenue."

"Additional emergency reported near North Garden."

"Medical teams requested immediately. Possible suspect sighting... negative, visual lost."

Every few seconds, another location appeared on the citywide emergency map. No one understood how one person could seem to appear everywhere at once.

....

High above the streets.....

Jonathan stood atop the roof of a shopping complex. The black aura wrapped around his body like flowing ink. He looked down at the flashing police lights below. "They’re chasing shadows..." He smiled to himself. "No matter how fast they move...They’re always one step behind."

The aura pulsed. His body flickered.

FWOOSH!

He vanished again.

.....

Inside the police command center... Large digital screens displayed reports arriving from every district.

An officer slammed his hand against the table. "This doesn’t make any sense!"

Another officer hurried over. "The estimated travel time between these locations is impossible."

A senior investigator stared at the map. "...Unless."

Everyone turned toward him. "...Unless the suspect isn’t travelling normally."

The room fell silent. No one wanted to say it out loud. Because there was no logical explanation.

Meanwhile...

Nobody raced through the empty streets.

VROOOOOOOM!!

His motorcycle weaved between abandoned vehicles as the System continued updating the mission.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

[Emergency Tracking]

Target location uncertain.

Spatial signatures detected.

Unable to establish stable lock.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody gritted his teeth. "So every teleport leaves only a tiny trace..."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Correct.

Residual distortion dissipates rapidly.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"...Meaning if I’m even a few seconds late..."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Tracking probability decreases significantly.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody let out a frustrated sigh. "So I’m chasing footprints that disappear almost instantly." He sped past another intersection.

Police cars rushed in the opposite direction. Fire engines blared their horns. Ambulances accelerated through the night. The entire city seemed to be moving at once.

Yet despite all the activity...

Nobody felt helpless. Not because he lacked strength. But because there were simply too many places to be. He struck the fuel tank lightly with his fist. "Come on...There has to be a pattern."

....

The System projected a holographic map. Red markers covered nearly every district.

Nobody stared at them for several seconds. Then...He narrowed his eyes. "...Wait." He zoomed in. "The attacks look random..." He zoomed out. "...But the distances between them aren’t."

The System remained silent.

Nobody continued studying the map. "He’s not teleporting without thinking. He’s making short jumps. He never jumps to the opposite side of the city. He chains together nearby locations."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

[Analysis Confirmed]

Pattern recognition successful.

User intelligence temporarily exceeds expectations.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody smirked beneath his helmet. "Heh. That’s the closest thing to a compliment you’ve ever given me."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Correction.

It was an observation.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"I’ll take it."

Far away...

Jonathan stood in the shadows between two apartment buildings. His breathing had become steadier again. The black aura continued to ripple around him. "...More..." He whispered. "I want more."

For a brief moment...

"Nice show bravo"

A faint voice echoed inside his mind. Not his own. Not the System’s. Just a distant whisper carried within the strange power. He frowned. "...Who’s there?"

Silence answered him. The whisper vanished.

Jonathan shook his head. "...Doesn’t matter." He looked toward the glowing skyline. "As long as this power stays with me...No one can stop me."

The aura pulsed once more.

On another rooftop....

Nobody stopped his motorcycle and looked over the city. Wind tugged at his crimson coat. He closed his eyes. "System."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

[Reply]

Listening.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"If I keep chasing where he’s already been....I’ll always be late."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Correct.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"So I need to predict where he’ll go."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Probability of success increases by 63%.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Nobody opened his eyes. A determined smile formed beneath the rabbit helmet.

"Good. Then we’re changing strategies."
