Chapter 143: Love Such Peaceful Day
The rain vanished. The cold wind disappeared. The cracked highway slowly dissolved into countless glowing pixels that floated upward like fireflies. The distant buildings faded one by one until nothing remained except an endless white void.
Nobody stood alone. "..." He blinked.
The familiar mechanical chime echoed through the empty space.

Nobody looked around in confusion. "Whaa...?" He scratched the back of his head beneath the crimson bunny helmet. "So... it’s over already?"
There was no answer. The white space continued glowing softly.
Nobody sighed. "I guess this time the scene only took me back to my home."

The white world shattered like glass. Everything around him changed. The familiar apartment slowly materialized. The wooden floor appeared first. Then the walls, the bookshelf, the television and the small dining table. The gray sofa, the kitchen.
Finally...The front door. The room was exactly the same as he had left it earlier that morning.
Nobody looked around. "...Home." He slowly removed his crimson bunny helmet and placed it on the dining table. His face reflected faintly on the visor. He stretched both arms. "Ahhh...My shoulders are killing me." He rolled his neck from side to side. "That fight really took everything out of me."
Silence filled the apartment.
Nobody took a deep breath. "...Coffee." He smiled. "First things first." He walked toward the kitchen. Opening a cabinet, he grabbed a mug with a small cartoon bunny printed on it. "...Why did I even buy this?"
He stared at it for a moment before shrugging. "It was on sale. Kinda looked like it goes with my theme." He reached for a jar of instant coffee. "Hmm..."
Only a little remained. "Looks like I’ll have to buy another one."
He filled the kettle with water and switched it on. The quiet humming sound spread throughout the kitchen. Nobody leaned against the counter.
For the first time in what felt like forever...There was peace. No alarms, no explosions and no serial killers, monsters. Just silence.
"...Nice."
A few minutes later, steam rose from the kettle.
He poured the hot water into the mug before adding coffee and sugar. He stirred it slowly. The aroma filled the room. Nobody closed his eyes. "This...This is happiness." He carried the mug toward the sofa. Sitting down, he took a careful sip. "Mmm...Perfect."
Another System chime interrupted him.
Ding!
Nobody froze. "...Seriously?"
A blue window appeared in front of him.

Nobody raised an eyebrow. "Condition? Relaxed?" He laughed. "The System even tracks my mood now?"
The window disappeared.
He took another sip. "This coffee deserves five stars." He leaned back comfortably. Outside the window, the afternoon sunlight shone brightly. Children could be heard laughing somewhere in the neighborhood.
Cars passed by below.
Everything felt...Normal.
Nobody narrowed his eyes. "Whenever things become this peaceful...something weird always happens."
As if responding to his words....
Ding.
Another notification appeared.

Nobody sighed. "I forgot to disable that."
Voices immediately filled his mind.
"...I hope the convenience store still has chocolate..."
"...Did I leave my phone at school...?"
"...Today’s weather is nice..."
"...I should water my plants..."
Nobody blinked. "So many random thoughts." He concentrated for a moment before turning the skill off. "Much better."
Silence returned.
He glanced toward the clock. "Still plenty of time." He thought maybe he should clean the apartment.
"...." He looked around. "...Tomorrow." He stood up anyway.
The living room wasn’t exactly messy. There were just a few magazines on the table. A hoodie hanging over a chair.
Several office suits lean neatly against the bed.
He stopped. "...Wait. Why are those office dresses beside that spot?" He walked over. There were six of them. "No wonder visitors would think I’m weird." He gathered them together and carried them into the cabinet. "There. Much better."
As he closed the cabinet door....
Ding!
The System appeared once again.
Nobody slowly turned around. "You really don’t know what ’break time’ means, do you?"

New Information Available
Because the User’s Scene has shifted...
Several events inside the ’Shining Blossom’ World
have continued without your presence.
Would you like to review them?
YES / NO
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody blinked. "...Continued?" He selected YES.
The screen expanded into several floating panels. Each one displayed a different location inside Alkon City.
A busy shopping mall, a crowded train station, a police office, a classroom, a rooftop. Everyone was continuing their daily lives.
Nobody stared quietly. "So...The world doesn’t stop when I’m not looking." He watched people talking, laughing, arguing, working.
The city felt alive. It no longer seemed like a stage waiting for the protagonist.
It felt...Real.
Nobody folded his arms. "I always thought of this world only a world mix of NPC and plot relevant stuff. But today even the NPC’s seems cheerful."
Another notification appeared.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[Correction]
Some of the Webcomic characters continue living even when they are outside the Plot relevant scene.
The User only observes selected moments.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody remained silent. "So every day...everyone has been living their own lives." He looked at one of the floating panels.
Toma appeared. She was sitting inside a café, quietly reading a book while occasionally sipping an iced drink.
Nobody smiled. "Looks like she’s doing fine."
He switched to another panel. Aiden was inside a company meeting. He looked exhausted. "Business really isn’t easy."
The screen changed again.
Police officers continued investigating recent incidents across the city. Detectives carried stacks of files from one office to another.
Nobody watched carefully. "So the story keeps moving...even without me."
The realization was strangely comforting. The world felt much larger than before. He wasn’t simply waiting for scenes anymore.
He was living inside an actual world.
Ding!
A final notification appeared.

Important Notice
Future Scene Shifts may occur without warning.
Prepare accordingly.
Recommended Action:
Always keep guard high. Don’t drop guard.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody looked toward the storage room. "...Good thing I have plenty of points after those fights."
He thought for a second. "...Actually..." He opened the system shop. "No. I should probably keep one weapon nearby." He picked up a single crowbar. "Just in case." He leaned it beside the sofa. "There. Happy now?"
The System gave no response.
Nobody chuckled. "You’ve got no sense of humor." He finished the last sip of his coffee. The mug was empty. He looked out the window once more.
The peaceful afternoon stretched across Alkon City. Birds flew overhead. Clouds drifted lazily across the blue sky.
Nobody smiled. "I have a feeling this peace won’t last very long."
At that exact moment.....
Ding.
A tiny notification appeared.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Notice
Next Scene Shift Estimated...
Unknown.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody sighed. "Of course. I should’ve expected that." He placed the empty mug into the sink and walked back toward the living room. "If the next scene can happen anytime...I’d better enjoy this one while it lasts."
He flopped onto the sofa, grabbed the television remote, and switched on the TV.
The evening news began playing. For a brief moment, everything felt wonderfully ordinary. But deep inside...Nobody knew the world had already begun preparing its next Chapter.
.......
Nobody lazily flipped through the television channels. Cooking show, news and historical drama. Another cooking show. "...How are there this many cooking shows?"
He stopped on a wildlife documentary.
A narrator spoke in a calm voice. "...The rabbit uses its speed to escape from predators..."
Nobody looked at the screen. Then at the crimson bunny helmet sitting on the table. "...Really?" He immediately changed the channel. "I don’t need life lessons from a rabbit." A light chuckle escaped him.
For once, he could laugh without worrying about an emergency.
He leaned farther into the sofa, letting his body sink into the soft cushions. "This is nice."
The apartment felt warmer than usual. The smell of coffee still lingered in the air. Outside, the afternoon sunlight slowly shifted as clouds drifted across the sky.
Nobody closed his eyes for just a moment. "...Maybe I should take a nap."
Before he could get comfortable.....
Ding!
His right eye twitched. "You’ve got to be kidding me."
Another blue window appeared.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
System Reminder
Hydration is important.
Please drink water.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody stared blankly at the screen. "..."
"...The System is acting like my mom now?" He sighed dramatically before walking to the kitchen. "Fine. You win." He poured himself a glass of water and drank it in one go.
The notification disappeared.
"Happy?"
Silence.
"Dumbas* goes silent whenever I ask stuff."
He placed the empty glass into the sink. As he returned to the living room, his gaze landed on the bookshelf. There were several novels lined up neatly.
One of them caught his attention. It was titled ’How to Live a Peaceful Life.’
Nobody laughed. "I should’ve read this sooner." He picked it up and dusted off the cover. The pages looked untouched. "...Guess I bought it for decoration."
He returned it to the shelf. Just then, a gentle breeze entered through the slightly open window. The curtains swayed softly.
The city looked peaceful. People walked along the sidewalks below. A child pointed excitedly at an ice cream truck. An elderly couple crossed the street while chatting. A delivery rider hurried toward another apartment building.
Nobody rested both elbows on the windowsill. "So everyone has their own story.....and I only get to see small pieces of it."
It made the city feel alive. Not like a comic panel... But like a real place. His thoughts were interrupted by another notification.

Hidden Observation
Current User Activity...
Reading Speed: Slow.
Estimated Mood: Curious.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Nobody blinked. "...Hold on. The System can tell what the User is doing?" He frowned. "Does that mean....some other higher being is watching my life right now?"
An uncomfortable silence filled the room. He looked around instinctively. At the ceiling, the walls, the window.
No matter where he looked, he couldn’t see anyone. Yet the strange feeling remained. As if invisible eyes were quietly watching everything he did.
Nobody folded his arms. "So...If you’re watching..." He looked straight ahead and gave a small wave. "Hope you’re enjoying the story."
Nothing happened.
A few seconds passed.
Then the System quietly responded.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Notice
The User cannot respond directly.
Story progression continues.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"Huh. I figured as much."
Nobody smiled faintly. "Still...It’s nice to know someone’s following the journey." He picked up his now-empty coffee mug and looked toward the kitchen. "...Maybe one more cup."
After all...
Until the next scene shift arrived...
He intended to enjoy every ordinary moment he had left.
