Ran Zhihan walked alone on the street, resembling a zombie with no feelings at all. The rain poured down, but she continued walking silently, completely unaware that it was raining.

"Zhihan, are you okay? I know, I know it all now. I never expected that my presence would bring you so much trouble. I never thought he’d say such heartless words to you in the end, or that you’d choose to leave him and walk away alone. Would you give me a chance? I know this might not be the right time to say this, but I hope you can think about it. I sincerely love you!"

Ran Zhihan looked up at Chen Gang, giving a bitter smile. His heart was tormented even more, as all these were the results of the man before her. Why did he always act so innocent and pure, as if the one at fault wasn’t him but her?

Chen Gang reached out to hold Ran Zhihan’s hand, but Ran Zhihan pushed his hand away.

"Chen Gang, are you satisfied now? Because of you, I lost everything I once cared about; my family is shattered. Now, I have a home I can’t return to despite my loved ones being there, but I can’t embrace them. Are you happy?

You don’t need to tell me it wasn’t intentional. I don’t want to know if it was or not. I just want to know what your heart is made of. How can you bear to ruin my family? I sincerely regarded you as a good friend, never fantasizing about growing old with you. Why must you always act so self-righteously? Do you not realize your actions have utterly harmed me? Now I’m the loneliest person in the world. Do you really think I haven’t suffered enough? Must you continue the cold taunts and personal harm?

Chen Gang, when I became the loneliest person in the world, I realized I’d never have another chance to live happily. Whether you’ll stay by my side in the future matters not because, from the start, you were never my ideal Prince. No matter how learned or wealthy you are, none of that matters to me.
