Chapter 62: I Wanted To Throw Punches

Blake took a step forward, and Damien shouted desperately, "Why are you doing this? We are still useful to the syndicate."

Erick looked at him; he no longer had a smile or childish amusement in his eyes; instead, his expression was entirely devoid of any emotion.

"That is what you are wrong about. The syndicate no longer needs you. We no longer need you."

Damien grimaced and looked at Mercy, his heart beating so loudly that it could tear through his chest.

Even though Blake had been trained by the syndicate, together they could still take him down. However, that wasn’t the main problem.

The real trouble came afterward. Even if they fought back and survived, the syndicate would still kill them.

There was simply no way for them to survive this.

As Damien came to terms with this reality, a bitter chuckle escaped his lips, and he spun toward Blake, who was leisurely walking toward him.

He looked at the gang member who had accompanied him and said, "Stay out of this."

The gang member frowned deeply and nodded reluctantly before stepping away.

"What’s wrong?" Blake asked. "You can run if you want to."

"Why? So you can have fun finding me like a beast searching for its prey?" Damien scoffed.

"That’s why I don’t like you." Blake stopped before him. "You always ruin my fun."

Damien chuckled.

"Then find better ways to have fun, dumba—"

Blake threw a punch to his abdomen.

Pain exploded; Damien instinctively bent forward as all the air left his lungs.

But Blake wasn’t in the mood to end it so easily.

He raised both of his fists, locked them together like a sledgehammer, and slammed them into his back.

"Ugh!" Damien’s eyes widened, and his back arched before his legs gave way and he fell to the ground, huffing for breath, saliva gushing out of his mouth.

"Why aren’t you saying anything anymore?" Blake grinned sadistically as he raised his foot and placed it on the back of his right hand.

"This might hurt," he mumbled as he put weight into his foot.

"Ahhh!" Damien screamed, his face turning red in pain and fury.

"Haha!" Blake laughed like a demon as he twisted his foot.

Tears streamed down Damien’s face as he kept himself from screaming by biting his lower lip.

However, that only made it more fun for Blake.

Mercy swallowed hard and glanced at Klaus.

Klaus stared at Damien and asked, "Do you want my help?"

His words spread through the roof like a siren during the night, and everyone turned their heads to him.

A smile returned to Erick’s face, and Blake muttered, "Help him? You should call help for yourself."

Damien looked at the masked man, not at all trusting his words, and muttered through pain, "Sh... shut... it"

Klaus sighed and asked, "You want my help or not?"

"Is this bastard dull?" Blake furrowed his brows and pressed his boot harder on Damien’s hand, leaving the sole marks.

Damien clenched his other hand into a fist and slammed it into the ground before looking at the masked man and then at Mercy.

For some reason, Mercy was far too calm about this situation, and he was continuously glancing at that guy as though he was the guard and the other was the Boss.

"Do... do you have a gun?" Damien asked.

Blake instantly stopped applying pressure to his hand and looked at the masked man. "A gun?"

Erick frowned and said while staring at Mercy, "You really think that guy has the courage to do that? Tch."

"I don’t have any gun," Klaus stated.

Everyone except Mercy frowned. Even if he didn’t have a gun, he could act as he did, and that would’ve been enough for Blake and Erick to stop this, but instead of that, he just told them that he didn’t have one like an idiot.

’Can this guy really help me?’ Damien wondered and gritted his teeth. ’Let’s just take the chance.’

He looked at Klaus and mumbled, "Please... help me..."

"If you were going to say it anyway, why did you take the beating?" Klaus shook his head.

"You are pissing me off," Blake said as he stepped away from Damien and walked toward Klaus. "I will deal with you first."

"Is that so?" Klaus mumbled and said while glancing at Mercy. "Make sure the other one doesn’t run away."

Mercy nodded slightly and shifted his gaze to Erick.

Erick smiled and said, "You already found a new master, huh?"

Blake cracked his knuckles. "You better get ready to d—"

However, before he could finish, Klaus appeared right beside him as though he had teleported and slapped him.

"Ugh!" Blake slid a few steps to the side and stumbled a few more as his vision spun, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth and nose.

"W-What was that?!" Damien’s gang member fell to the ground and stuttered while pointing at him with a trembling finger.

Erick stared at Klaus with eyes wide in pure disbelief, though there was a faint trace of reminiscence, and he mumbled, "Why are you here?"

Klaus noticed his eyes and furrowed his brows. ’Strange.’

"Phth..." Blake spat the blood gathering in his mouth and stared at Klaus with a horrified expression. "M-Monster—"

However, similar to before, Klaus stepped and reached him within a mere moment and commanded the system, ’Bound strength.’

The next instant, his body lost its transcendental power, and he grinned behind the mask.

Blake swung his fist at him, and he easily dodged it with his incomprehensible speed and slammed his fist into his abdomen.

"Ugh! Uwah," Blake groaned and spat blood.

"Heh," Klaus smirked and remarked inwardly, ’I can finally throw punches at this bastard.’

Yes, the only reason he had lowered his strength was so he could beat Blake till he was content.

Blake stumbled to the side as he raised his hands and spat, "Who the fuck are you?"

Klaus grinned and swung at the bottom of his head, "Your dad!"

The fist connected, and Blake stumbled back before falling to the ground like a broken toy.

"Huh? That’s all?" Klaus mumbled worriedly. Meanwhile, Mercy, Damien, and the Coral’s gang member stared at him with terrified faces.
