My Clones Can Cultivate

Chapter 152: Where Is The Primal Tyrant

"Where is the Primal Tyrant?" The beast growled, its red eyes narrowing as the flames raging around its fur seemed to become even more intense, as if they had been disturbed.

It seemed that the big gorilla had been pissed off big time. It really looked like it was ready to kill someone. King Rayden stared blankly at the big gorilla, his eyes twitching. The reason for that was because he knew. Of course, he knew who carried the title of the Primal Tyrant.

And it was none other than the original. Liyu had boasted about it on many occasions, so of course, the name had become stuck in King Rayden's mind. King Rayden looked at the furious, spiked gorilla, which seemed ready to rip something, anything, to shreds, and tried to piece everything together.

With his quick mind, he was able to think fast and make a guess as to why the beast must be looking for the original. The fact that Liyu had terrorized all the beasts living in this part of the forest was no longer news to King Rayden.

And that was the reason why the beasts had named him the Primal Tyrant. So, the fact that this beast, which was radiating the aura of an early-stage Arc Four beast, was here meant only one thing.

This beast had come from the inner forest and had either been sent here or had come here of its own volition to kill Liyu. King Rayden's eyes became slightly dim as he realized that this was perhaps going to be big trouble.

The gorilla was radiating the aura of a Level Two Foundation Realm beast. That meant this beast was far more powerful than all three clones combined. After all, the three of them were still only at the first stage of the Qi Gathering Realm.

Compared to someone at the Foundation Realm, they could be said to be weak. Or rather, they would have been said to be weak if they were normal cultivators. But they weren't. They were all far from normal.

After all, every one of them was far stronger than any ordinary Qi Gathering Realm cultivator. The fact that even a peak Qi Gathering Realm cultivator wouldn't last more than a single attack against any one of them was enough to show the massive gap between them and other normal Qi Gathering cultivators.

So, although in theory all three of them were only first-stage Qi Gathering Realm cultivators, in actual practice, they were all capable of displaying strength comparable to that of a late-stage or even peak-stage Qi Gathering Realm cultivator.

That made them anomalies. But they weren't to blame for it. After all, the reflections of an anomaly were bound to be anomalies as well. And the original... King Rayden shook his head, not wanting to think about it.

He was a big, mighty anomaly. But still, that didn't help them solve their biggest problem. No matter whether all three of them possessed strength equivalent to that of a peak Qi Gathering Realm expert or not, dealing with the big guy before them would still be troublesome.

After all, the gap between the Foundation Realm and the Qi Gathering Realm was far from small. No. Let him rephrase that. The gap between those two realms was so much larger than any of the gaps before it.

So yes, fighting would be kind of rough, so King Rayden decided to take the easier option out of this. All those thoughts passed through his mind in less than a second or so, and he turned his gaze toward the beast that was looking at all three clones with malice burning in its eyes.

The main reason why the beast had not attacked was probably because it wanted to hear their answer. First and foremost, its first target was the Primal Tyrant.

Only after killing that despicable human who had the guts to hunt down beasts would it turn its angry gaze toward the remaining humans and kill them, ripping them apart in the most brutal ways possible. So right now, it was waiting for the humans to tell it which one among them was the Primal Tyrant.

And it wouldn't hesitate to kill him first. But as it waited, the humans didn't speak. After a while, the one with green hair opened his mouth and spoke. "The Primal Tyrant is not here," he said calmly.

The gorilla stiffened, its anger seemingly rising even higher as it thought that it had been lied to. There were three humans before it. How could none of them be the Primal Tyrant?

The beast thought, ready to rip apart the green-haired bastard for lying to it. But just then, the sound of rushing footsteps echoed behind it. The sound was large and deep, rumbling like the sound of countless feet striking the ground at the same time over and over again.

Soon, the four-spiked gorilla understood. It had almost forgotten that it hadn't come alone after all. Lazy Rayden's half-lidded eyes twitched as he sensed that something was coming. Or rather... A lot of things were coming. His half-lidded eyes twitched slightly as he muttered. "Too troublesome."

The next moment, the clearing shook as a loud rumbling sound erupted from the forest. The peaceful surroundings were disturbed as the entire area was soon filled to the brim with beasts.

There were three-spiked gorillas, two-spiked gorillas, and even one-spiked gorillas. And they weren't the only ones either. There were countless other beasts. Horned tigers. Dark foxes. Massive wolves. And many more creatures that King Rayden had never seen before.

The weakest among them were at the peak of the Body Refinement Realm, while most were at the early to peak stages of the Qi Gathering Realm. The strongest among them had reached the early to peak stages of the Qi Refining Realm. Their numbers were staggering. Truly enormous. They numbered in the tens... No. Not tens.

Perhaps hundreds... No. That was wrong. Way too wrong. From everything they could see right in front of them, there had to be at least several thousand beasts. Perhaps even more. And every single one of those beasts was ready for battle.

No... That was wrong as well. They weren't merely ready for battle. They were all on high alert, as if they were preparing to wage an all-out war. The four-spiked gorilla looked at the warriors it had brought along for the war against the human and his faction. It suspected that the three humans standing before it right now were part of that same faction.

Seeing the enormous army behind it made the beast even more certain that it would be leaving this place with the head of the Primal Tyrant in its grasp. It turned toward the green-haired figure, who seemed to be the leader of the three, and asked once again.

Its voice was deep and primal, like a raging inferno rumbling from the depths of the earth. The sound alone was enough to scare a grown man shitless. Some might even piss themselves after hearing that voice. And if they were to see the towering beast itself...

They might enter a coma from the sheer shock. But King Rayden's expression didn't change one bit. He remained cool and calm, even though he knew that they were now in serious danger. "Tell me where the Primal Tyrant is, and I will kill you slowly instead of hastily. If you don't cooperate, your death will be gruesome."

The beast spoke. Its voice was husky and wild. Yet the fact that it was able to speak almost like a human made King Rayden feel slightly curious. From the original's words, beasts weren't supposed to possess this kind of intelligence. Should he perhaps study this beast properly after killing it?

Or... King Rayden paused before shaking his head. He shouldn't allow his mind to wander. After all, they were still very much in danger, even if it didn't seem so. He turned to look directly into the beast's red eyes before answering. "And I have already told you that the Primal Tyrant is not here."

King Rayden paused before continuing. "I was thinking that we could settle things without there being a battle... and it seems I was right." He looked toward the vast horde of powerful beasts, their killing intent radiating outward in powerful waves.

"You guys are not here for a mere battle." His gaze swept across the thousands of beasts surrounding them. "You are here for war, aren't you?"

Before King Rayden could finish speaking, however, a two-spiked gorilla from the side of the enemy army suddenly launched itself toward him. Its massive fist stretched forward, intending to pummel King Rayden's face. But the beast didn't make it far.

Its head suddenly blew apart as if it had been blasted straight off its neck. The strangest thing was the fact that there was no sound. No warning. No struggle.

It was as if the world itself had decided to take its head away from it, and the beast had no choice but to accept its fate. Its lifeless body collapsed onto the ground. It didn't even know how it had died. King Rayden turned his gaze toward Dead Eye Rayden.

White smoke rose from the tip of his rifle as he calmly blew it away. At the same time, ten more beasts within the massive horde suddenly collapsed. Dead. Their heads had been shattered as if they had been struck by an invisible and brutal force.

Dead Eye Rayden met King Rayden's gaze before speaking. His tone remained as straightforward and diligent as ever. "The beasts are here for Boss." He calmly adjusted his rifle.

"Let's end them quickly and return to the task that Boss handed over to us." King Rayden's eyes twitched slightly. End them quickly? Was this guy blind? Couldn't he see the number of enemies they were facing? There were thousands of them.

Yet he spoke as if they were nothing more than a few hundred beasts. Still, King Rayden just shook his head.

As he turned back to face the beast, he could see it clearly in their gazes.

They were furious. The crimson flames surrounding the four-spiked gorilla flared even more intensely, as if the beast had become even more annoyed by their actions. The beast let out a wild growl before giving its command.

"Rip them all apart." Its red eyes burned with killing intent. "Kill them all!" The next instant, the entire horde answered its words. They charged toward the three clones. Dead Eye Rayden quickly brought out a second pistol and created some distance between himself and the incoming horde.

Bang! Bang! Bang! He fired continuously. With every single shot, several beasts amidst the massive horde fell to the ground dead. Their bodies collapsed one after another, their heads shattered beneath the overwhelming force of his attacks. Still, there were simply too many of them.

The beasts continued charging forward without fear, and soon, countless creatures were chasing after Dead Eye Rayden.

While some of the beasts chased after him, others turned their attention toward Lazy Rayden.

Through everything that was happening, the lazy clone still looked as if he was dozing off. A dark fox suddenly launched itself toward him. Its claws enlarged as qi flowed through them, making them even sharper and deadlier. The beast aimed directly for Lazy Rayden's face.

But before it could reach him, it suddenly felt an invisible force grab hold of its body. Before the dark fox could understand what was happening, the invisible force reached its neck and twisted it abruptly.

Crack! It happened so quickly and suddenly that the beast didn't even know how it had died. The corpse of the dead beast collapsed at the foot of the tree. Totally lifeless. The rest of the beasts became cautious as they looked toward the guy who seemed to finally be starting to wake up.

Lazy Rayden sat in his usual lazy posture before letting out a loud yawn. "Yawn..." He looked at the hundreds upon hundreds of beasts that had completely surrounded him. And what did he do next? He yawned once more.

Then, he turned his half-lidded gaze toward them. "Can you really not just stop disturbing me and let me sleep?" He pointed toward the distance, where Dead Eye Rayden was already locked in combat with countless beasts.

Then, he pointed toward King Rayden, who was surrounded by numerous powerful beasts but had yet to engage in battle. "Go and fight either one of those two." Lazy Rayden spoke as if he were giving the beasts a simple suggestion. "I want to sleep."

After saying that, he leaned back against the tree, looking ready to fall asleep once again.

Seeing this blatant display of disrespect, one of the beasts became enraged and launched an attack. It was a massive eagle with a sharp, needle-like beak. The beak had been further strengthened by the beast's qi, making it even more powerful and deadly.

The eagle charged directly toward Lazy Rayden at an incredible speed. But before it could get close... The same thing that had happened to the dark fox happened to it. Crack! A loud cracking sound rang through the clearing as the beast's neck was suddenly twisted to the side.

The eagle's body lost all strength before collapsing onto the ground. Dead. The other beasts froze. They were starting to feel unsettled. They couldn't understand what was happening. Neither the dark fox nor the eagle had even managed to get close to the lazy human.

Yet both of them had suddenly died. Meanwhile, Lazy Rayden simply went back to sleep. As if nothing had happened.

Meanwhile, King Rayden looked at the beasts that had surrounded him from every side. There was no fear in his eyes.

If anything, he felt as if all of this would be nothing more than a waste of time. He turned his gaze toward the four-spiked gorilla, who stood at a distance overlooking the battlefield with the gaze of a general commanding an army. King Rayden spoke.

"I don't know what you are thinking, but I can tell you this." His gaze remained calm.

"Waging war against us wouldn't end well." He pointed toward the massive army of beasts. "Call this assault off." King Rayden was still trying to stop this madness. But the four-spiked gorilla didn't answer. Instead, King Rayden felt it.

The beasts surrounding him were starting to twitch. Their muscles tightened. Their claws dug into the ground. At any moment now, they were going to launch their attacks. King Rayden shook his head. "Okay." His calm gaze slowly became sharper.

"If it is war that you want, then I will indulge you." He raised his hand slightly. "Don't say that I didn't warn you." After saying that, his emerald-green eyes flashed. Green lightning suddenly appeared within them before sparkling and streaking across his entire body. Crack! Crackle!

The sound of lightning echoed as countless green sparks wrapped around him. King Rayden moved his hand. A blade formed from condensed lightning appeared within his grasp. He held it tightly. Then, he slowly opened his eyes. And what followed after that... Was a massacre.
