Chapter 406.2: Swallowing the Three Thousand Worlds Alive, News of the Principle Symposium
In the upper world, nearly a hundred Heavenly Venerables avatars had gathered at the Principle Mountain, busily at work. Using supreme divine power, they were constructing a magnificent palace, namely the Hall of Principles.
Within the Sixth Heaven existed a loose organization known as the Principle Society. As its name implied, only cultivators who had reached the Principle realm could become official members. In practice, this organization encompassed nearly every Principle expert within the Sixth Heaven.
One Heavenly Venerable sighed with mixed emotions. "Time truly spares no one. After a hundred thousand years, the Principle Symposium is finally being held once again. Last time, I could only serve as a laborer constructing the Hall of Principle. A hundred thousand years have passed, and I'm still just building the hall."
Once one reached the Yang Spirit realm, further breakthroughs no longer depended upon time. Even if one entered a world where time flowed incomparably slowly, failure to break through would remain failure. It resembled the Yin Spirit realm in that regard.
Another Heavenly Venerable said with anticipation, "I wonder who will break through to the Principle realm this time. I also wonder whether the Buddha Ancestor will succeed."
He hailed from the Third Heaven and held the Land of Buddha in great reverence.

Heavenly Venerable of Mount Futu said confidently, "Since he already bears the title of Buddha Ancestor, he naturally possesses the bearing of one destined for Major Principle. Breaking through should be only a matter of course."
His sect resided in the Second Heaven. Like the others, he had also been conscripted by the Principle Society to perform unpaid labor.
A Minor Heavenly Position Heavenly Venerable of the Moluo Clan said with unconcealed disdain, "The Land of Buddha has long been at odds with the Taihuang Palace. Heh, do you really think that fellow from the Taihuang Palace would allow the Buddha Ancestor to break through?"
Since the Moluo Clan was at war with the Land of Buddha, such remarks were hardly surprising.
A Heavenly Venerable in purple robes said, "Hmph. How many years has it been since our immortal realm produced a Major Principle cultivator? If the Buddha Ancestor truly has the potential, the Principle Society certainly won't sit idly by while the Taihuang Palace interferes."
He came from the Purple Mountain Alliance, one of the major powers of the Sixth Heaven.
The Moluo Heavenly Venerable dared not argue despite his dissatisfaction. Instead, he sneered. "Forget the Land of Buddha. That Ten Suns Heavenly Sovereign is nothing but a jumping clown. The ability to manifest ten suns is certainly impressive, but he’s only courting death by daring to challenge the Taihuang Palace. Why would he keep hiding if he’s truly that strong?
"The Taihuang Palace even sent him an invitation to discuss the dao, yet he never showed up. In my opinion, he’s just someone who got lucky and became unbearably arrogant."
The Moluo Clan had always been the Taihuang Palace's loyal hound, so no one found his remarks surprising.
Heavenly Venerable Futu couldn't help but remark, "The fact that he can manifest ten suns means he could kill any of us effortlessly."
Heavenly Venerable Mokan of the Moluo Clan said disdainfully, "Futu, don't include me in that statement. If the Ten Suns Heavenly Sovereign dares set foot in our territory, we'll make sure he never leaves alive. Who does he think he is? He’s just an unusual Yang Spirit who hasn't even attained Venerable, much less comprehended Principle, yet he dares act so arrogantly!"
He had every reason for his confidence. The Ten Suns Heavenly Sovereign was undeniably powerful, but his greatest strength lay only in his potential. Without a Venerable Throne, his actual strength was probably still below the Principle realm, at best at the peak of the Major Heavenly Position.
The Moluo clan believed that for the next several hundred thousand, or perhaps even a million years, they would still maintain overwhelming superiority over him. If the Ten Suns Heavenly Sovereign dared set foot in their territory, every Principle expert of the clan could join forces to kill him. Surely the Taihuang Palace would richly reward the Moluo Clan for such a deed?
Just then, the Heavenly Venerable from the Purple Mountain Alliance’s expression shifted. "If the Ten Suns Heavenly Sovereign were truly to appear within your Moluo Clan, I'm afraid it would be your clan's doomsday."
"Hmph. If he dares come, he'll learn the price of arrogance," Mokan replied coldly.
The Purple Mountain Alliance's Heavenly Venerable added, his voice filled with astonishment, "I've just received news. The Taihuang Palace’s Great Calamity has been annihilated, and its world has been swallowed."
"What?!"
Every Heavenly Venerable was shaken. Although they knew little about the Great Calamity, they all understood that it was practically the Taihuang Palace's reverse scale. The Ten Suns Heavenly Sovereign’s actions were akin to a slap in the face. Above all, how could the Taihuang Palace allow such a thing to happen when it had so many Heavenly Venerables?
Mokan stubbornly refused to acknowledge the seriousness of the matter. "Could this have been the work of the Ten Suns Heavenly Sovereign? Hmph, he certainly has some nerve, taking advantage of the Taihuang Palace's distraction to steal a world!"
A single world's Great Calamity, without support from the Taihuang Palace, was probably only comparable to one Yang Spirit. Swallowing a world certainly sounded terrifying, but Mokan could easily swallow one or two worlds by manifesting his Dharma form. More than that would be difficult. Thus, he was not particularly intimidated.
The Purple Mountain Alliance's Heavenly Venerable’s voice still trembled with shock. "Actually, it wasn't just one Great Calamity, nor just one world."
Mokan's expression stiffened slightly as he tried to sound unconcerned. "How many?"
"All of them. Every one of the Taihuang Palace's three thousand Great Calamities, together with all three thousand worlds, has been swallowed."
Mokan's eyes widened in utter disbelief. "What?!"
The other Heavenly Venerables were equally stunned. "All three thousand worlds... swallowed? How is that possible?"
"What realm has he reached? What kind of strength is this? He hasn't even obtained a Venerable Throne!"
They stood frozen in shock.
All of them could easily destroy a single world. As for three thousand? Sure, as long as there was no resistance. But annihilating the Taihuang Palace's three thousand Great Calamities, along with swallowing all three thousand worlds under its control? Absolutely impossible. Moreover, each Great Calamity was comparable to a Heavenly Venerable!
Somehow, the Taihuang Palace had received no warning, nor had its palace master intervened. It was simply terrifying.
The Heavenly Venerable from the Purple Mountain Alliance looked at Mokan's expression with obvious satisfaction before saying mockingly, "Heh. If the Ten Suns Heavenly Sovereign decided to visit your Moluo Clan, I wonder if you will have enough worlds for him to eat."

Within the Underworld, Qi Yuan held Little Bride's cool sleeve, exhaling deeply in relief. "Finally done eating. Thankfully I didn't let out a baby burp."
He deliberately emphasized the word "baby." Even he found it rather disgusting after saying it aloud. Little Bride stood quietly beside him. If she possessed eyes, they would undoubtedly contain nothing but him. Whenever he needed her, she was always there.
He placed several Blood Crystal Essences upon her sleeve. "Come on, eat. These Blood Crystal Essences should taste even better than Blood Crystals."
Her sleeve wrapped around them, her little wooden plaque dangling happily as the Blood Crystal Essences disappeared. Qi Yuan carefully observed her and noticed that her form had solidified somewhat. Apart from that, however, nothing else had changed. A trace of disappointment flashed through his heart.
Wrapping his arms gently around where her waist should have been, he sighed softly. "Little Bride... Little Bride... when will I finally be able to hear your voice?"
