Ba Long and his men relentlessly bombarded the door. With each attack, the door began to give way. A flash of delight crossed their faces. Ming Chen exclaimed in pleasant surprise, "Keep attacking! They can’t hold the door much longer! We’ll be able to kill our way in soon!"

They had initially thought it would take a long time to break through, but now the gate was clearly showing signs of loosening. The outside of the door was a complete wreck, and the stone pillar propping it up from the inside was on the verge of collapsing.

The door had been propped up by a stone pillar, and with Elder Luo and his group holding it shut from the inside, it hadn’t been breached immediately. But now that they were gone, no one was there to support it. The stone pillar alone was not up to the task.

After a quick look around, they found nothing. The area was completely empty, save for piles of cages and the corpses of a few guards.

"Where are they?!" They swept the area with their senses but found no trace of any aura. Even with the strongest Power of Concealment, no one could escape the detection of so many Spirit King Stage experts.

They searched again and again, but saw nothing. All that met their eyes was emptiness!

’What’s going on? They’ve all disappeared?’ they thought in shock.

A dragon’s roar erupted from Ba Long’s body as a draconic phantom materialized around him. He charged forward, greatsword in hand, and swung it fiercely at the cages ahead. In an instant, most of the cages were sliced in two.

The remaining Sword Aura struck the wall, having almost no effect, leaving behind only a faint mark.

"Where are they? Where are they?! WHERE ARE THEY?!"

He roared in fury, swinging the high-grade Sacred Artifact in his hands wildly. Countless streams of Sword Aura ravaged the surroundings, but no matter where he struck, he couldn’t force anyone out of hiding.

This was simply astounding. They couldn’t possibly imagine how their targets had escaped.

"Could there be a secret passage here? That’s impossible... There are absolutely no secret passages here. We should have already found most of them!" Ming Chen’s icy gaze swept across the surroundings, his eyes fixed on the walls as he searched for any hint of a hidden path.

"Search!"

Ba Long wasted no words. He immediately went to the walls and began tapping them, searching for a secret passage. Niu Tuntian and the others did the same, joining the search. Even the Void Spirit Stage experts were ordered to look for a hidden path.

They tapped continuously on the walls, the ceiling, and the floor, searching for a secret passage.

They had searched this area before. They knew of most of the secret passages within the Celestial Nether Altar, and they had confirmed that there were none here. But now that the people and the Demon Beasts had vanished into thin air, they could only suspect that they hadn’t looked hard enough, or that they were trying to open it the wrong way!

"They must know about a secret passage! How else could they have disappeared? And how could they have killed Men Hu so silently?!" Ba Long raged. "Dammit, how do they know about a secret passage? One that even we don’t know about?"

They were furious, but their anger was tinged with a hint of panic. ’Are there still many places in the Celestial Nether Altar that we don’t know about?’

They absolutely refused to believe that the intruders had used something like Teleportation to get out. With so many Divine Runes in place, Teleportation was useless here! It was impossible to simply phase through the walls.

Therefore, no matter how they thought about it, the most likely explanation was a secret passage, not Teleportation.

They quickly turned and ran back outside. Before leaving, Ba Long instructed his subordinates, "You all watch this area! If you see any movement, report it immediately! No matter what, you must stop them! If they get away, you’re all dead!"

"Yes!" they replied, trembling inwardly, but they had no choice but to agree.

After giving his orders, they rushed forward. After passing through several corridors and finally emerging from one last passageway, they were greeted by the sight of a flight of stairs ascending into the distance. A quick glance revealed there were at least a thousand steps.

Of course, that wasn’t the main point. The point was that someone was climbing them. They were already over a hundred steps up, their entire body enveloped in a layer of light.

When they saw the figure, they instantly roared, "The intruder!"

The person climbing the stairs was, of course, none other than Yi Tianyun! After entering this place, he thought he might find some Treasure. He hadn’t expected to find a 999-step Celestial Ladder leading up to who-knows-where.
